Apartment Reviews at Club One of Auburn Hills
Love the service!!
I recently visited Club One of Auburn of hills apartments. The apartments are very nice and they had a great special going. The leasing staff was very friendly, I took a tour with Ciera she was very kind, sweet, and professional if she is still there ask for her to take you on a tour.
PLEASE DONT LIVE HERE... This complex is horrible, Management is horrible, Apartments are horrible, maintenance is horrible... Some buildings have roaches... smells like weed all the time... all around horrible place.
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE
Club One of Auburn Hills is a total SCAM. Management only seems to last 3 months at a time, so just when someone starts to help you with a previous problem its a new manager who's not so willing. They are constantly accusing you of nonpayment.(Save everything) Today I spoke with the "NEW" manager Melissa who was ZERO help and she also denied me the information to the corporate office. Please do not ignore these reviews. I used to think oh these ppl are just bitter but no EVERYTHING is true.
This place is horrible! Don't ever move in. They are only here to take your money, and the lease is against you! Everything is falling apart and takes months to fix, and the take no responsibility for anything! Avoid at all costs.
Horrible! Just horrible.
We were with out a proper running shower for 8 months. They gave us a 200.00 credit for this (woohoo) come to find out, the next month they were to credit us, a new manager started (they went through 3 in a year..) and they denied the credit saying nobody works there anymore that has proof of these incidents. If someone has corporate number or any other info to get things situated, Please let us know! Definitely hated being there. Managers are rude and obviously hate their jobs. Every time we would set up a meeting with them, "oh they are in court that day." Well that explains a lot.
Please avoid this place at all cost. The staff is unorganized, they lose rent payments, and the staff is careless. I've been here for about a year and I'm counting down the days for my lease to be up. This place is nothing but a big scam. Work orders aren't filled in an appropriate time period. I wouldn't suggest Club One.
No Stars, they make you pick one, ugh
TERRIBLE!!!! NOT Worthy of one star!! I moved in less than a month ago, all of my issues I brought to the property manager has fell on deaf ears!! The neighbor noise is horrible! Paper thin walls! Drug deals go on all hours of the day. Unsafe environment, broken handrails, windows and graffiti! I wouldn't recommend this place!!
A total scam - stay away. I clicked one star b/c you have to choose at least one.
We moved into these apartments when my husband received a new job in Michigan. We decided to look at these apartments because of the nice price. The apartments themselves aren't bad, and the courtyards are nice. That being said, I would recommend you look somewhere else. However, if you decide to live here, keep everything. Do not put your rent in the drop box, physically hand it to someone and get a receipt. If they offer you any specials, get it in writing, with a signature. We were told that there was a special going on when we moved in; that we would get October free. Four months later we received a notice in the mail saying that we owed them $800 for not paying October rent, or we would be evicted. We had not received any other notices saying that they thought we were behind. When we went to the office to talk to the woman who signed our lease, we were told she didn't work here anymore and there was no record of that offer, and we would either have to pay or they "would see us in court". The manager is rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. Dave is nice, work with him.
Great place to live.
Living at Club One was great. The office staff was really friendly. Its located in a great area and its worth its price. Of course when I moved in it was under old management so rent was cheaper. One of the biggest downsides of it would be the lack of cleaning the snow during the winter. It took my roommate and I literally 20 minutes to get out of the complex. They are kind of bad with repairing, what I did was call the office everyday until they came. Overall I enjoyed living at Club one and if rent hadn't gone up so much I would probably still be living there.
Club One of Auburn Hills
I've been living here for a year and it has been an overall ok experience. Management isn't as organized as it should be and putting in work order repairs doesn't go as smoothly as it should. Would I recommend Club One? At this point no I would not.
This apartment isnt the best but i plan on moving in a month if i can afford it. I pay around 700 a month for this and it is totally not worth it but I cannot afford anything else as I am in college :( If i have a chance to win this I will have more time to focus on school and become a doctor.
Happy living but paying to much
Club one apartments are very nice but I'm paying to much for my income so if I win free rent for life than I would be so grateful because I've never won't anything like this before in my life.
Very Fair For The Price
Club One is very fair considering their price points. Although everyone is raising their rent pricing, Club One was one of the cheapest as of June 2017. They have a great workout room that is included, along with a pool. The hours are normal, but may be extended in the near future. Now all the horror stories about the loud noise and smells of marijuana...It's Pontiac for god sakes, why would you live here expecting to hear a pin drop every day. If you have realistic expectations for an apartment, you'll be fine. Now moving into the horror stories of management...Yes, they may be unorganized sometimes. But if you keep your receipt of everything, and just keep patience during the whole process you'll be fine. If you are looking for a place right there and then, it's easy. If you are planning ahead, it can be tricky since people are moving in all the time which gets priority if you aren't ready to move in right away. (no real waitlist ATM) I had a broken furnace unit with no AC upon moving in on a Saturday, but the issue was addressed the following Monday along with other service requests I called about that same day. So all in all, this place is really not as bad as the reviews make them out to be. Some people may have unrealistic expectations, or lie just to leave a bad review. If you aren't one of those people, you'll enjoy your stay here.
Great Place to live!
Lived here for two years, throughout my stay the staff in the office was very helpful. The apartments are clean, safe and well maintained. Would have loved to stay here but had to move for work, would deffinitly recommend to friends and family
Love this complex. The office is very helpful. very clean and quite.
Shouts Out To Fabian!!!
We had the pleasure of Fabian assisting us through the whole process of the viewing, and signing our lease. That guy deserves 5 stars. So all in all, the leasing office was a pleasure to work with. Living here is great so far, and all maintenance issues were addressed.
I have lived here since August 2016 and the apartments are great I am a student at Oakland University. The apartments are clean and like 2 minute drive to class Paying rent has never been a problem and the maintenance guys are all extremely helpful and nice!
The headache of living at Club One just isn't worth it
From the moment I moved in the management was lazy, unhelpful, disrespectful, rude, and irresponsible. Maintenance was slow and just bad, I mean really bad, nothing ever got done within the timeframe given. Laundry facilities were down for 6 of the 12 months I was a resident there. I think the management overall is the worst I have ever seen. Never getting calls back from the manager after having been promised a call before the office closed. Rude and disrespectful tone from the manager about a problem that was promised to be resolved the same day. I was locked out of my apartment before my lease was up, and club one made me pay $50 to the onsite maintenance to use a power drill on my lock to break into my apartment. The management seems to change every 3-6 months, I believe I spoke to 3 "new" managers throughout my time living here. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Don't bother paying for covered parking, other residents and management doesn't care about who parks were or when. Threats to be towed can be taken with a grain of salt. The management does not let you take a copy of the lease agreement from the premises before signing. They take advantage of every part of the fine print, trying to swipe the deposit from you by any means possible. Constant accusations of non-payment are issued orally and physically. Luckily I kept receipts and photocopies of every rent check, being able to throw that back in their face.
Love my apartment here would recommend to anyone looking in the area especially if you go to OU
Worst apartment ever. Honestly please read the reviews. The manegment here is horrible . There's new people ever 3 months or so. None of them write anything down or fix their errors . The lose rent payments and accuse you of being late or not paying at all. I've had several eviction notices and even court threats and dates bc of them . ( I payed every month on time) KEEP EVERYTHING AND GET A RECEIPT!!!!! the apartments themselves are nice. I love my actual apartment and don't want to move out but it's horrible living here it's something new EVERYDAY month .
Not as bad
I have lived there for about 7 years and it is a safe place to stay but I did notice it was always new people working in the office the maintenance did take care of things on time and Aaron in the office was great always trying to help the tenants thanks again
Really good spot to live apartments are clean and the complex is safe the company has a security team hired, they drive around the entire complex all night, I see them all the time and it makes me feel really safe all you can really ask for
I love that my apartment is so close to everything! Being new to the area it's great to be in such a growing area! Living by myself, being a younger female, it's nice to feel safe and protected in my apartment! You can Uber anywhere for basically free and so many restaurants deliver! The maintenance team was able to replace my burnt out light bulb the same day i reported it! Very efficient!
They are under new management and I'm excited to see all the new changes and better staffing!
Been living here since November and everything has been good so far Never had any problems with paying rent, and the one work order I needed got done the next day would recommend to anyone who needs housing in the area, definitely better then any other apartments I looked at for similar price oh and the pool is lit
Happy tenant would reccomend
I work at Chrysler so this location was extremely convenient for me. I saw the reviews and was worried to move in, but couldn't pass on being this close to work, so I took a chance. My worries were eased when the leasing office ensured me that every time I pay rent, they give me a signed copy of my check with the date on it. When i payed my first rent payment I did not put my address on the check so they did not know who it was from. I simply walked into the leasing office after they notified me they did not have my payment , showed my receipt and they were able to identify the check and take off the late fees. Despite the reviews I can assure you that as long as you keep your receipt everything is great. They have never lost any of my checks. I haven't had any problems with my apartment and would definitely recommend -Robert
Update from my last review
my last review: Lived here for more than 6 months now. The place is nice, the people in the complex are nice and the office management are courteous and prompt... Although I had some reservations earlier when I was moving in, but those worries have all been erased. I had a couple of issues that were taken care off the same day. Recently: they changed windows- made them more energy efficient changed the foyer area- tiled, Pros: - the new people at the office are awesome, - pool and club area during office hours are a nice addition -tennis courts -gym - security patrol -covered parking -clean Update: the gym as the ad advertises as being 24 hrs is not 24 hrs, and i dont think it would be. You would always run into issues of not turning in your rent, so if you're living here then please keep receipts of all what you have paid and when you have paid them. I have had an issue of not turning in the rent since the date of when i moved in- July 2016. Every month they'll tell me that we would send it in for concessions to the main branch and so on. However I got a court notice on non payment of rent in December for a date 15 days in advance. It was a good thing that i came back from my vacation and saw the notice. I show up to court and the manager is there saying that the case has been dismissed and all that. So not only did they put extra tension and headache on my head, they didnt even have the courtesy to tell me advance so i did not waste my day to show up to court. I thought that was the end of it, however i got a notice again for a remaining balance of 600 ro something. I go in again and they're like we'll send it in for concessions. I got a notice of 190 dollars due. I show up to the office and theyre like its for legal fees. Legal fees for filing a court order, that got disimissed because it was their fault to begin with. I tried to reason with the office manager, but she is extremely unprofessional, and would not listen to reason. SO now im on the hook for 190 dollars for a mistake that she comitted in balancing the books. Again, do not live here. The well kept property and the good maintainence crew, and some good office workers is just not enough to deal with the incompetent and unprofessional office manager that controls the property. A slightly worse off property in the neighborhood with a lower rent would be a better option than this place.
Be VERY CAUTIOUS HERE
Unsafe / Uncaring / Rude / patrol really? / mgt cares nothing about concerns of residents NOTHING / this community, for lack of a better word is not good - mgt is rude and does not care - when a good person gets in the office they leave - they had a great man working there once his name was dave or david - i'm sure they treated him like they treat the community and the residents too bad we can't just leave
Rent at your own risk
There is not enough space to give you as many real life examples as I have. If you have not signed a lease- don't. If you have, keep every document you have in a safe place. They will try to Screw you somehow. It started before I signed my lease- tenants warned me- I didn't listen and thought they must of had a bad experience. Air conditioner didn't work. No water when I moved in. Roaches and other bugs in Apt. before I moved in. Water issues through the year. Sewage back ups in laundry room had to throw away cloths. They don't care. And they don't even know how things work because staff turns over. "New manager" has no clue and gave me completely wrong info. I was lucky and kept my documents for proof and believe me- I needed all of them! Do NOT put your rent in the "box"- you might as well throw your money up in the air- it will be lost, and even if you prove to them they cashed the check- if the hold it too long you will have to pay the late fee- even if you turned it in early! Good luck because you are going to need it, God bless. And-yes it smells etc...and I find it hard to believe that the previous person actually lived here. Never met one person happy with the place.
Please don’t live here it’s bad !
Please don’t move of here there all about money , they have all type of bugs they don’t come out and do what they suppose to do I been there for 2 years and I have never got my carpet clean . It’s not worth your money trust me ??
Please do not MOVE HERE !!!!!!!!!
Club one is all about money they don’t care to fix anything , I been there 2 years they never came out and did anything to the apartment, they also have Roaches really bad !!!! My whole apartment building had them really Bad . They go up every year on there apartments and it’s not even worth the money . At all it’s never no where to park or nothing it’s not worth it I HATE THIS PLACE !!!!!!
Shittiest apartment you could possibly move into. Worst management. The only semi-decent person working here is fabian. And like I said, "semi-decent." definitely don't live here if you like air conditioning and comfort
Really happy with my experience here (the apartment is for my daughter who goes to school at Oakland University, not me) I was very nervous, it is my daughters first apartment and she is living alone. The complex has a security team that patrols every night. This has helped make her feel very safe around the complex at night. She gets home from school late a lot and has to walk from her car alone. she said she feels safe seeing security always walking around She has never had any problem paying rent, and she is looking forward to renewing her lease in the end of August! Shout out to Fabian!
Never had any problems, over all good experience, lived here for 2 years and moved out at the end of April 2017 to buy a house, just got my full security deposit back today. would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment in the area.
WARNING: DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!! IT WOULDN'T ALLOW A 0 STAR RATING, HAD TO CHOOSE 1 TO GET THIS MESSAGE OUT
FIRST OF ALL, THIS PLACE IS LOCATED IN PONTIAC, NOT AUBURN HILLS. EVEN THE MAILING ADDRESS IS PONTIAC. THE SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL!! MY BOYFRIEND MOVED IN IN JULY 2016, AND THE AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK. HE CONTACTED THE OFFICE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED, BUT THEY NEVER CAME. HE CALLED AGAIN AND COMPLAINED, THEY NEVER CAME. FINALLY THEY SHOWED UP ONCE, BUT SAID IT WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT THEY COULD REPAIR, IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. BUT THEY DID NOT REPLACE IT. SO HE CONTINUED TO CALL AND COMPLAIN. EVERY ONCE IN A BLUE MOON THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED UP, JUST TO APPEASE HIM I'M SURE, BUT ALWAYS HAD SOME EXCUSE AS TO WHY THERE WOULD BE MORE DELAY. HIM AND HIS SON HAD TO COME AND STAY AT MY HOUSE DURING THE HOTTEST PARTS OF THE SUMMER, JUST TO BE COMFORTABLE. WHEN THE WEATHER STARTED GETTING WARM IN MAY, HE COMPLAINED TO THE OFFICE ABOUT THE A/C NOT BEING FIXED, AND THEY TOLD HIM IT WASN'T HOT ENOUGH OUTSIDE TO PROPERLY CHECK THE A/C. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE, IT'S THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE THAT IS THE PROBLEM! AND WHY DID THEY NEED TO CHECK IT AGAIN IF THEY ALREADY KNEW IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED? HE CALLS THEM ALL THE TIME TO FIX THE ISSUE, THEY SAY THEY WILL COME, AND HAVE YOU REMOVE ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS FROM YOUR CLOSET, WHICH IS A PAIN, AND THEN THEY DON'T SHOW UP. SO YOU PUT YOUR STUFF AWAY SO U CAN MANEUVER AROUND YOUR BEDROOM, THEN ONE DAY THEY SHOW UP UNANNOUNCED, AND TELL YOU THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T EMPTY YOUR CLOSET!!! AROUND AND AROUND. IT IS NOW JUNE 2017, AND ALMOST 90 DEGREES OUTSIDE, AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE AIR CONDITIONING. THE APARTMENT IS ON THE GROUND FLOOR AND THE INSIDE HAS REACHED TEMPERATURES EXCEEDING 84 DEGREES....INSIDE!! AND HE HAS A YOUNG SON WHO LIVES WITH HIM FULL TIME. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT YOU MAKING THAT RENT PAYMENT ON TIME, EVEN IF YOUR STUFF IS NOT WORKING. THE AIR CONDITIONING HAS NOT EVER WORKED, NOT ONE SINGLE DAY, SINCE HE MOVED IN. THE PLACE IS LESS THAN DESIRABLE, WITH A LOT OF UNSAVORY RESIDENTS. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF ALL OF THE TROUBLES THAT MANY OF THEIR RESIDENTS GO THROUGH!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE!!
Do not even think about to live here
The office staff is horrible. They told me that water and Gas is free but now they are charging water fee. Office staff is not professional and the complex is full with low lives people. I can not wait to move out.
Worst Complex Ever
This is the nightmare of all apartment complexes. Not only is the management completely incompetent, but the apartments are run down and horrid. Anyone living on the 1st floor constantly has their plumbing backing up. And myself on the third floor can barely get the sinks and tub to drain. Management hassled me and refused to give me a key for my fiancé to move in with me. “We only give one building key per apartment.” I never signed a lease that said that. I even offered to put my fiancé on the lease, they still stood by this ridiculous rule. If you want management who is so incompetent that they give you other person’s packages because they can’t read, this is the apartment for you!
Please do not live here , the apartments are really bad , they never come fix nothing you ask them to do .they rude very !!!!! Please once again do not live here .
Enter at Your Own Risk
Management is a joke, things won’t get fixed within a timely manner-3 weeks and counting the AC has been broken and management has lied, hung up, and other inconsiderate things. Maintenance takes care of the all the places around here and they don’t know how to fix these buildings (they said it). The weather has ranged to 70s-upper 90s, inside its 80 no matter what... Also the places aren’t up to date as in there could be and were electrical fires in the walls (another problem we had that happened before an important holiday and maintenance didn’t know what was wrong until we showed the damage in the wall, had no oven and microwave to cook for a few days). Management doesn’t care at all and have attitudes. Also no hot water that is consistent in the bathroom.
Don’t move here please!
I just moved out , like a month ago it’s terrible here I promise you that it’s not even worth the money !

City - Pontiac
Pontiac has played a crucial role in the success of the American automobile industry. This suburb of Detroit serves as home to many blue-collar auto workers who labor in the local plants and keep the assembly line moving and churning out high-quality muscle cars such as the Ford Mustang.
Residents display a fierce loyalty to the area and to the companies that have provided them with a competitive salary and allowed them to feed and clothe their families. Despite a rocky past, you will encounter a city teeming with hope and potential. Entrepreneurs from around the state and beyond are flocking to the area to turn their ideas into reality and re-energize the city.
With so much room for growth and improvement, combined with a real sense of local pride, you can sense that the city is on the cusp of becoming great once again.
