I have lived in my apartment for a couple years and for the most part I really like it. It’s nice because it’s close enough to the city but just far enough away. I feel very safe here and the staff is always awesome especially Sunny! My only con would be that sometimes I hear my neighbors above and below me and it can be hard to block it out when music is playing loudly or your neighbors are on their patio talking loudly at night. I would recommend this apartment complex to friends or family as it has more pros than cons.

I have nothing to compare this to. City Vista was my first apartment (and I am a senior citizen). I was looking for safety and that need was met. I felt secure during my 3 1/2 years. I liked the layout of my 2 bedroom apartment and I had a spacious end apartment porch for furniture and "garden". Pros: Car wash and vacuum area, full sized appliances, 24 hr access to packages, pool and gym. Helpful staff who knew me. Con: Trash compacter in a seperate building.

This is by far the worst complex that I have ever lived. They use the term “luxury” but there is nothing luxury about the place. Save your money and time as this place will only cause you headaches.

Apartment is spacious and good but expensive, high utility fees. Too much noise and inconvenience from apartments above, manager says find your own house. Compliant over 7 months not taken care of, these days dog poop everywhere.
The quality of the apartments are severely lacking. While the outside of the apartment complex looks like a luxury complex, the inside is less than to be desired. The overall upkeep of the property is unsatisfactory to say the least. Garbage piles up quite often making the overall appearance poor. While they consider themselves a luxury apartment complex there is absolutely nothing luxury about it. Would HIGHLY suggest the other “luxury” apartments close to the area.
Had the worst experience. Wish I could give negative stars. Don’t let the newness on the outside fool you. Management is completely clueless to any questions you have and very unprofessional. They are basically only there to hand you packages (which most of the time the door is unlocked and anyone can steal what is in there). The hallways and elevators always smell. Although this is a “dog friendly” apartment, most of the people staying in this complex despise dogs and will give you terrible backlash when they see you walking your dog. Honestly if you are looking for a new trendy apartment that is affordable and close to the city DO NOT GO HERE. You will be disappointed. Oh and if you think you’re getting any type of incentive for referring your friends to live here, don’t count on it.
I enjoy staying in city vista. The pool view is awesome. Friendly staffs. Neat and clean complex. Flats are spacious and well equipped.

Set in the heart of the city, City Vista apartments are very close to downtown and other major places of Pittsburgh. As far as the community is concerned, all I can say is that it is one of the best we have seen in the city (within the price range). It provides state-of-the-art amenities- 24-hr gym, swimming pool, party hall, outdoor barbeque and fireplace, prompt maintenance assistance etc. The apartments are newly built and offer a very modern architecture and interiors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We started here on a 6 month lease and then have extended it for a year. So, have been staying here for past 9 months and have enjoyed every bit of our stay. People find the apartments a tad bit costly but trust me, after looking at apartments around the place we realized that we would rather pay a little more and go for a peaceful locality and a well furnished home. We have a five year old kid and there are so many options for her as well... Fred Aiken School ,Greentree Public Library, Greentree Park, major restaurants, departmental stores and clinics etc all are at walking distance from City Vista. Apart from the strategic location which helps residents to engage in a lot of activities all year round, City Vista too holds a lot of fun activities for its residents. Be it the Halloween or the pre-Christmas parties in the winters or the pool party in the summers- there is always something happening to keep you busy! All in all, a great and happy place to be! Five stars from us!

I've lived in an apartment at City Vista for nearly two years. Before that, I spent three years living in the City of Pittsburgh (in a different apartment each year). City Vista offers me all the convenience of living near the City without the noise and the higher wage tax. City Vista has gotten a little quieter over the past year, which has made for more enjoyable summer nights. The pool is nice, and gets plenty of sunlight during the day. Because City Vista sits in a little valley, the temperature sometimes feels a little lower than it does on higher ground. The little valley also keeps down noise from the Parkway, which is nearby. If you work or study downtown, and are looking for a quieter lifestyle without sacrificing quick and easy access to all the fun the City has to offer, City Vista is a great choice.

Lived here for a year, was wheeled in by all the amenities and was fooled. The apartments weren't built properly. There are settling crack in the ceilings and walls, my cabinet doors & drawers are constantly breaking and falling off track, half the doors aren't placed properly. They charge extra for everything don't let them fool you like me.
City Vista really is a beautiful place to live. The easy commute to work every day in downtown is amazing. I can be at work most days in 10 minutes. The office staff is friendly and helpful - always willing to do the extra thing to make life easier. Love all the get-togethers they have at the clubhouse - it's a great way to meet your neighbors. Free Starbucks coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day! I can't say enough about this place. Yes it is a bit pricier than some other places - but you get what you pay for!
Great location but over priced. Had to spend my final 6-7 months under a family that had several dogs. The workers are very friendly but not one thing was done to address the situation. It was so bad that my roommate decided to leave 2 months earlier and pay double rent. Obviously noise is always going to be an issue in apartment buildings but you shouldn't have to deal with that kind of trash when paying $1,700/month. My advice, either demand a 4th floor apartment or look elsewhere.
Would not recommend living here. Amenities are great and the pool is nice. However, the floors/walls are horrible. If you want to hear everything your neighbors above you do then this is your place (city vista allows pets, if your neighbors has a dog good luck). Don't live here, if you do then buy earplugs if you like/want to sleep.
Neighbors regulaly set trash in hall/hold your breath because it REALLY STINKS. Water pressure is REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD. But they make excuses
This is a new complex with first class amenities: A clubhouse with cybercafe, beautiful pool, media room and a state of the art workout facility. It also has perks not seen in other complexes such as gift wrapping station and car wash. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive to concerns. The complex and location to downtown make it a first class choice.
Great apartments, awesome management and maint staff
I recently moved into City Vista and have absolutely loved my time here so far. Everyone who works in the office is extremely nice and the amenities in the clubhouse are really nice. From the pool to the gym to the business center, it is an all-inclusive place to live. The location is also great; you're very close to the city and downtown, but you get a quieter environment. I would definitely recommend City Vista!
