LA is a special kind of city. The arts, the music, and the nightlife make it unlike any other, and Downtown Los Angeles is at the heart of it all. The neighborhood is divided up into several districts, each with a unique personality and style. Fashionistas will feel right at home in the Fashion District or the Jewelry District, museum and art lovers will appreciate the Arts District, and the movers-and-shakers will make their mark in the Financial District.
Although there's plenty of glamour in the City of Angels, Downtown Los Angeles is much more than a haven for movie stars. Tech companies have set up shop in the neighborhood, especially in the Arts District. While major film studios Universal, Paramount Pictures, and 20th Century Fox are all located in LA, the city's top employers include banks, manufacturing firms, and companies like Deloitte, US Bancorp, and Aon.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at City Lights on Fig
The Staff is very professional, helpful, attentive, respectful and friendly. Abgar and Patty do follow up and do an excellent job. Jonathan and Vanessa are super nice and make you feel welcome.
THIS PLACE IS THE WORST! Management is terrible. Daun is the worst manager I've ever had to deal with in my life. She's very rude and unresponsive. I can also see why this is rated one of the "Best Places to Work". If I could sit at my desk, listen to music and play Solitaire all day instead of working, I'd rate it the best place to work too. Her manager who works for Alliance Residential is just as bad. Angela, who is the assistant to the manager, is the only one who actually works. She should be manager. My apartment was damaged from a water leak from another apartment and they had to reconstruct part of my apartment. They offered no re-location even though it clearly says on their contract. Even worse, the manager called my place "livable" when I had 8 industrial grade dehumidifiers in my apartment running and the temperature soared to over 100 degrees in my apartment. The construction workers also left all their equipment and moved my furniture without notice. They stacked random material on my furniture for construction and left my place with wall debris everywhere. I was unable to use my room for about 3 weeks and they offered no compensation. When I asked the manager and Alliance Residential about a rental discount for the month, they told me they would be in touch. I've moved out and they still have not offered any compensation. I don't normally write reviews but I was compelled to write one because this place is just terrible and it could potentially save another person's life. I'm still receiving emails from their customer service reps about a final payment even though I've gotten a confirmation that they've received it. What a joke. If you have a lot of time to deal with management and the company, then this is the place for you. Good luck! I also have a bunch of pictures that I documented and hopefully will be able to upload them. This also happened to the floors below me and above me.
City Lights on Fig has exceeded every possible expectation I could have had. Its location right at the intersection of the Convention Center and Staples Center is unbeatable in every way. Parking is extremely affordable, and managed perfectly. I've never heard about a single issue of someone's spot being taken or anything along those lines. The apartments are beautiful as are the common areas like the pool, lounge and dog walk zone. The walls are nice and thick - I've never heard the sounds of my neighbors at all (I've also rarely ever heard the sounds outside from the city streets). Management is the best I've ever dealt with - they are quick to respond to your questions via email, in person or on the phone. Any type of maintenance issue I've had has been addressed and fixed within a day. They're also great about sending out community emails and keeping you posted about things that might be happening at LA Live. Security is top-notch; they're always on-site as soon as the Leasing Office closes and are constantly patrolling every part of the premises. Overall, I would recommend City Lights on Fig in a heartbeat to absolutely anyone. Its location, amenities, staff and beautiful units make this my favorite building in the entire Los Angeles area, by far.
