The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cider Mill Apartments
The ceiling leaks. All they do is a paint over the mold. They cut a hole, and left it for over 2 weeks now. It snowed so now the carpet is soaking wet. I 200% doubt they won’t replace that. They increase rent but never accommodate for repairs. The carpet really smells rotten. If I get sick, I’m suing and buying the neighborhood and turning it into a laboratory.
Lived here a year constant waste on the ground. No parking because people from other complex leave their cars they don’t live in cider mill and walk off site since there is no towing. Washers and dryers are provided but they do not operate well and kids be smoking weed in the Facility. Every now and then there are some gun shots and fire works at night during 10pm-1 am. If you move here just be prepared to walk far when throwing away your trash and the parking lot is far from the apartment a bit
Despite the bad reviews, I decided to give it a try. So far, it's been a pleasant experience. The office staff have been nothing but helpful. I have had a couple of maintenance issues in my apartment, but maintenance staff solved them in a timely manner and they were very polite. I would say it's worth it to give it a try, the apartments are of a nice size and the price is moderate. Good job Cider Mill.

One of the worst apartments in area .I lived here for more than 3 years in 3 years I have lots of problems 1. They dont response fast for emergencies (locks, bathrooms or kitchen jam or refrigerator not working which are most emergencies things when u are at home) 2.Lots of bug (They always said maintenance service is coming and send letters to move the things from Corner,Closets but bug mouse are always there they never fix it .Further letting you guys know they charge you 300$ if yu dont move your closet clothes when they told you which is worse) 3. Parking lot are soo limited and not safe (They scratches cars cause parking lot is so small ) 4.Always loud noice on nights and people should drunk at 1am outside) 5.One of the worse and rudest staffs I have ever seen on any apartments are on this apartments leasing office . I thought it was just staff But try to talk with manager she was more worse. 6. Equipment and laundry are soo old that it even didn't clean anything and expensive too Some good points 1.People who come to do services are pretty helpful and polite (way polite than staff of leasing office) 2.Near bus station

I have been living in this apartment for more than 3 yrs. Till now I am used to live with roaches. After spending a huge amount of time and energy finally I don't see the roaches much now in my place. But there is a bigger problem now. BED BUGS !!!!!!!!! These Bugs have been sucking my blood, I haven't got sleeps for days and i feel like its a torture. They treated the apartment 2 times and I myself spent more than $100 to get the treatment stuffs but nothing is helping. Now they seem to just ignore my complain. I visited the office more than 5 times last week, they keep saying they will do something for NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. So, long story short. Its a world of bugs, do not come here unless you want to ruin your daily life, your sleep and your furniture. You cannot imagine how awful it is spending time cleaning up, getting the room ready for treatment and people don't show up. Finally, I am writing this just to give your guys a heads up.
when i moved to cider mill , i noticed that they very clean and the people are very nice. i loved their gym which is clean and comfortable. their pool in the summer is very big and its very peaceful to be with the family . not to mention they apartyments are big and safe . i want to continue living in cider mill because i feel safe and i love the environment.
Horrible place to live moved here from NY and honestly it couldn't have gone worse. The community is always a mess. The apartments themselves had hidden damages that you wont really notice until you look for them. and they will surely find them when you're moving. Electric power went out various times which made it so we didn't have hot water or lights. they come in almost every month for some sort of inspection or maintenance. One of the worst thing that happened they spent about 3 months installing a water heart and came in to the apartment at least 2 a week and took away a whole closet to install it. Doesn't even work properly makes a lot of noise and just a pain. Cut off my ac and they forgot to turn it back on due to the construction they were doing. Cops are always outside for something. Honestly do not move here find somewhere else I have never been more disappointed in something. I got out as soon as I could. Now that I moved out they are charging me with a satellite removal fee when I didnt even have satellite I had cable. That was there when I moved in and I informed them to remove it because it wasn't mine. They never did and now they charge me. I wonder if they charged the guy before me too and didn't even remove it greedy, horrible, and dreadful is the only thing that describes them.
Do not rent here if you have no other option !!! Completely horrible place. I've rented here for about 6 months and had to break the lease because I could not stand paying high rent for something so run down ! From the mice that will not go away after traps and contractors came in to patch all hole they caused these mice were relentless, even as we were moving out one last mice decided to come out in the middle of the day to say hello. Good luck getting maintenance to come and help with anything. Drains would clog one after the other and the power constantly went out and stayed off. Not safe if your walking as a female at night or any time really guys will post up against the wall and stare and even cat call at you, some are as ballsy to follow you just to try and watch you walk I've been followed multiple times. Yes the place may seem nice and spacious but it's not worth the price nor the community!!!
I am going to file a case against these ppl. They are charing us for electricity which in our contract said its included. When i call they never answer the phone and when i ask to speak to manager she is not there. This is too much. This place is one of the worst place ever. Zero star
Please do not move into Cider Mill Apartments in Gaithersburg MD. There is bugs all over the buildings. The gym is broken and rusted. There is black mold in the ceilings. The Donaldson Group who runs the facility doesn't even have a proper payment system. Do NOT give them your money!!!
Despite having bad reviews I took a chance with this apt complex. While I could def live without some of the neighbors, I walk into my apt and I am HOME! The apt has a huge layout in comparison to others in the area for much cheaper. The complex recently sold to a new company and they are working to make many cosmetic appearances as well as environmental. The office staff is pretty pleasant and I should definitely know, I'm there often :) and as for maintenance they come rather quickly… I will say sometimes their work is not exactly great but it gets the job done for the time being. This is my second year in my apt and I am considering resigning if I can't find somewhere closer to my job that is somewhat equal in size for cost…which likely I won't find.
