      As one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Tacoma wrapped around a stunning historic high school, the Stadium District features lush hills, Victorian architecture, and stunning views of the bay. Stand on the sidewalk along North Stadium Way between the Washington State Historical Society building and the landmark Stadium High School and gaze out over the water. Then glance down -- the Stadium Bowl offers fantastic views of Commencement Bay and Puget Sound and is considered one of the best high school football stadiums in the country (you may have trouble focusing on the game, the view is so amazing).

      The Stadium District is near Downtown Tacoma and is considered a business district. Here, you'll discover a variety of restaurants and shops, grocery stores and banks, coffee shops and corner bakeries. The district hosts several festivals and events, such as the Dickens Holiday Festival in December.

      Can't wait to leave.

      Everything is broken. Garage door breaks every couple months. Been open for over a month and now people's cars are getting broken into and people are smoking crack. Other doors are broken. Dog poop everywhere. Parts of the building reeks of trash. Stay away.

      Really great location, next to the park and close to Hilltop, downtown, 6th ave, and Stadium. Management staff are often available and always friendly and approachable. There are some issues with common area cleanliness, but management seems to be aware and hunting for solutions.

      Dog friendly! Apparently no one cares if your dog uses the entire complex as their own personal toilet. They even let it fester for weeks!

      My experience with Chelsea Heights (and Greystar, their management company) has been just awful. It took months for any maintenance issues to get fixed. My oven didn't work for the first three months living at Chelsea Heights, and after months of unanswered calls and emails I only got it fixed because I threatened legal action. Now that I've moved out they're trying to charge me for rent the month after my agreed-to move-out date. It's been impossible to get anyone to respond to emails or phone calls to try and fix the invoice. Just terrible customer service in a subpar building.

      I love living here. As an apartment complex there’s a few quirks, but over all this place is great. I love the secured mailboxes for my mail/amazon packages so I can get stuff mailed here worry free. I love that I can have my pet in this facility, and I love the staff who works here. They are all so kind in the office of the Chelsea heights and are very helpful.

      I think the staff here is very nice and friendly at Chelsea heights but its seems that getting any type of Maientence done is a huge issue. Not sure if its because low staff but I try to be understanding about it but the fact remains that it takes forever to get an issue resolved here. Sadly I had issues since day one moving in.

      I love living here, I'm comfortable and happy here. Everyone is friendly, I love how pet friendly it is, and I never have issues communicating with the staff. The apartments are also beautiful and spacious and I couldnt ask for a better place to live. Great price for the size and location.

      I do not recommend Chelsea Heights. Ive moved 19 times in the military and this is by far the most disappointed Ive been in my living choice.

      Initially, I was very excited to move into Chelsea Heights. While my apartment itself is great- though a bit dated it has great in unit amenities that I am very happy to have including a balcony with great views and a large open kitchen, the building as a whole has been lacking.

      Not worth it

      The Good: Apartments have a decent layout and updates. I have a nice sized kitchen and large windows. Nice location next to Wright Park. 4th floor has AC. The Bad: I was given the wrong apartment layout when I moved in. I specifically shopped for an apartment with a balcony for my plants. I was given one with a different floor plan and a weird tiny triangle balcony that you cannot fit a chair on to. I was told that I can wait for someone to move out, and even then if that unit was priced higher I would have to pay that even though I was quoted a specific price and floor plan. The apartments don't use right angles. They have odd angles that do not allow you to easily places beds or desks. Trash problems. Continually the trash chutes are clogged or trash isn't taken out. Trash gets left in the communal hallways. They do NOT offer recycling. Some tenets leave pet waste in the hallways and elevators. Maintenance. I have put in maintenance requests that have sat there for over a week and heard nothing, and I have also been given calls that they will arrive for maintenance I didn't ask for. Management. There have been management and office changes, while those who work in management have been kind they have not offered any real help. I also have had a lot of difficultly getting in touch with management, missed phone calls or out of the office for lunch, etc. Packages. There is an amazon hub - awesome. It is frequently filled and packages get left out so anyone can take them. Sometimes the office will hold packages and not inform tenants. I have reported packages stolen only to find a week later is it actually in the office. The garage door have been broken a lot, so it is no longer "secure". You also have to pay over $100/m for parking. You can smell your neighbors dinner through the laundry vents. I also have some bad noisy neighbors that have make it difficult to work from home, the apartment cannot do anything about that right now. If you decide to break your lease you have to find a new tenant on your own, or you have to pay TWO MONTHS RENT extra as a fee. I understand penalties for breaking the lease, but and extra two months rent? I have lived in mostly apartments and I have a lot of sympathy for the things out of their control. Most of these issues are within their control, and they do not seem motivated enough to help. If you have the option to pass on living here, pass.

      I have been here for almost a year and I absolutely love it. Everyone that comes over compliments my place and the layout is beautiful. I enjoy all of my neighbors, the parking is great, there's always enough room for friends and family to come over. I can't wait for COVID to be over so we can go back to normal. All of my neighbors are friendly, and everyone seems to be really easy going.

      I warn everyone I know who is looking at Chelsea Heights or any Greystar property to stop!

      Leasing Agents and Property Managers turned over 5 times during my tenancy. Cars in the parking garage were burglarized weekly over a period of months. Storage fencing was cut open three times and it took 3 months for them to repair and secure the storage area the last time it was damaged. The commons spaces were filthy. Tenant move-in and move-out was like a revolving door. Here is a list of a few things that were very wrong: *the first unit I moved into was dirty – food particles in the dishwasher, oven was dirty, floors were dirty and the dryer had loose dirt inside. Maintenance had to be asked to come back 3 times to clean the dryer properly. Due to the fact that none of the floor to ceiling windows opened in the main living area the only air circulation was a patio door (that could not be left open at night for safety reasons) and a 12’ X 40’ window to the common hallway in the bedroom. When my 8-month lease was up I exchanged apartments for one with windows that could be opened. * the 2nd unit was even dirtier than the first unit – what looked like animal urine stains on the hall and living-room walls, a sticky substance on the 2nd bedroom trim with what looked like black animal hair stuck to it, and gummy substances stuck to the hall floor in several places. The Property Manager told me the unit had been cleaned and that I would have to pay to have it cleaned again. *the day I moved into this unit the washing machine stopped working. The maintenance man did not know how to fix it, so he just left it with standing water. It took 2 weeks of calling 6 times to get the washing machine fixed. *the garbage disposal did not work when I moved in and it took 2 ½ weeks to get it replaced. *the kitchen sink and bathroom sink had no cold water. It took 3 ½ months to fix the problem, which included no cold water to these two sinks and cutting three 3’ x 4’ holes in my bedroom closet left that way for 5 ½ months. It required constant calls, emails and in person requests to get the water problem resolved and the closet holes repaired. The maintenance staff blamed the property management staff for all the lack of follow through, and the property management staff blamed the maintenance staff for the lack of follow through.

      The apartments are really nicely laid out. The finishes are nice and not cheap looking, I love the open concept, big windows and blinds. The kitchen is a great size, but the bedrooms are small. The location is awesome. Noise does carry in the courtyard. Overall we really like it.

      Living here, these apartments are great! It is indeed a home away from home. The management is great and very helpful. The apartment complex is clean, and the people who live here all seem very decent. It is pet friendly and kid friendly.

      Design leads to noise problems

      The apartment building is centered around a courtyard and most of the bedrooms face out into the courtyard. You can hear your neighbors walking and talking (and occasionally yelling & partying) at night. The kitchen is huge and well-equipped; the windows are large & let in tons of light. Your satisfaction with the apartment will depend upon the neighbors above you. I would recommend picking an apartment on the sides of the building, as it should be quieter.
