The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Chanhassen Village
Can’t get a hold of anyone for multiple days, terrible communication. Doesn’t look good for future tenants, very concerning. Mailbox always full and lack of response, no direct email to the property either. Doesn’t seem like they care other then just getting their money.
Pros: quick access to downtown Chanhassen. Rent is cheap and neighbors are friendly. Cons: maintenance takes too long to fix issues, they come inside apartments with no notice. Unfortunately it does smell like marijuana half of the time if not most of the time.
LOL unsure what the person below is referring to!? Upset Much?? I have been a resident here for over 5 years and I love the community! My lease, as I am sure all others lists that rent is due on the first deemed late by noon on the second. And if you believed the manager was truly "pocketing" money - why not call the police, odd? Again with court costs... aren't these set forth by Carver County? Seems like you are a bitter previous resident with some animosity from being possibly evicted? (judging by your court reference) perhaps you didnt read your lease before signing? I work for the city of Chanhassen and happen to know that isn't nearly half of the amount that landlords are required to pay when they bring someone to court for non payment, i believe you have been misinformed on your accusation. I adore the staff and always have been extremely helpful - never would say maintenance was "on drugs" haha! I have been a resident for over 5 years here and love the friendly staff and my neighbors! Rent has gone up - but not enough to want to vacate. I reside in a 2 bedroom and happen to think it is very spacious! Very convenient to downtown Chan and feel it's a great area to live in. Parking is very limited - but I did end up renting a garage due to this and since have had no complaints. My son and daughter enjoy the pool during the summer and playground across the street. I highly recommend this place to rent. Again, i believe the person below is bitter and telling a good story with no facts! HAHA!
My first month there I paid rent as was noted in the least to pay by the third of the month. Management informed me that I needed to pay a late fee because they made an error on the lease and changed the due date to noon on the second. I let this go because I was new and did not want to cause problems. Late rent is typically met with a notice that you must pay the late fee and court fees, their court fees are more than the actual court fees. You are not allowed to pay a partial amount so you must pay the full late fee and their overestimated court fees. Then when you pay it before the court date they do not return the court fees to you. It is clear that manager is pocketing the difference (between $400-$500). The complex is infested with silverfish. Management will not work with you and the on site manager has what sounds like a temper tantrum when you contact the management office. This is clear by her tone and comments such as "why did you do that" and "don't call them, you call me." Paid my rent one time and was concerned that it did not go through, the main office confirmed that it did and then when that payment had a problem as I was concerned about they scolded me by telling me that I am unreliable and they cannot work with me. My neighbors sold drugs to the maintenance men. Their apartment wreaked of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, and some other other unknown substances most of the time. Another neighbor walked around the complex with a bong. Other neighbors threatened other neighbors for noise complaints. Someone defecated under the steps. Someone temporarily unlocked the security door so management stripped it out so it was then very hard to unlock with one hand. There is frequent vandalism with broken front doors. Heat system is not adjustable for the middle floor, so it is always hot. We asked management to fix it multiple times and they said it was not broken. We had to have the screen doors open all winter or it would reach over 90 degrees in there. Management would come into our apartment when we were not home to shut the windows. Sliding glass doors leaked and frost was always melting off the doors in the winter due to the coldness outside and heat inside. On several occasions staff yelled at my son and asked him if he lived there. Very rude. If you can avoid living here, avoid it. They treat you like crap while you are there and then overcharge you when you leave. Their business practices are unethical.
Built in the 70s and some somewhat remoded. Orriginal cabnets and stove. Traffic noise and train. Black mold in every building. Very hot in winter because they pay heat and hard to regulate in own apartment. Garages full of mold and leak. No elevator. Coin laundry. Nice Clean pool. Please pick me. Was homeless due to bad health so no choice but to live here. Rent too high as well.
