Named for the French term for “beautiful view,” Bellevue is a picturesque suburb situated just south of Omaha. The city also contains more than 600 acres of parks, miles of wooded and paved trails, and dozens of athletic fields. Bellevue is also just a short drive from Lake Manawa State Park as well as Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.
Officially incorporated in 1855, Bellevue is the oldest continuous town in the state of Nebraska. Bellevue maintains the friendly atmosphere of a small town in the midst of rapid growth, in addition to offering access to modern shops, restaurants, and other suburban conveniences. The many vibrant amenities of Downtown Omaha are also convenient to Bellevue, including CHI Health Center Omaha, Orpheum Theater, and a variety of world-class museums.
