Mesa combines suburban living with city conveniences as Arizona's third-largest city. Spanning 143 square miles across the Sonoran Desert, the city features both established neighborhoods and newer developments. At its heart, downtown Mesa hosts the Mesa Arts Center, offering year-round performances and exhibits. The rental market shows average rates from $1,117 for studios to $2,585 for four-bedroom homes, with recent decreases between 0.8% to 2.5% year-over-year. Notable areas include Dobson Ranch with its golf course and lakes, the Las Sendas area near Red Mountain, and the developing Gateway district by Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
The city's heritage includes ancient Hohokam canals that still shape Mesa's water infrastructure today. Residents enjoy Red Mountain Park's 1,146 acres of recreational space, spring baseball at Sloan Park (home to Chicago Cubs training), and educational opportunities at Mesa Community College and ASU's Polytechnic campus.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Central on Broadway
Awful, run down apartments with a management staff that has shown it does not care about its tenants. Was informed how they’ve changed maintenance and front office staff 3 separate times but it’s not like the service or anything gets better. Mike, roaches and crumbling foundations but somehow every management staff that has been here seems that’s appropriate living conditions. Office staff is worthless, more upset they can’t be on their phones when people come into the office. Complete unprofessionalism across the board with this place. I’m not sure if this company has other properties they are responsible for. It’s overpriced for the location and the property itself. I would advise anyone to spend a little extra elsewhere to not have to deal with this place or the management.
The apartment had absolutely not been cleaned when I moved in, filthy appliances and floors, horrifying roach problem. Had to use my own money to get the place livable. Basically can't get packages delivered at home because they immediately get stolen. Don't believe in the list of amenities, gym and laundry are closed half the time. Charged all kinds of fees in exchange for zero service by condescending morons in the front office who act like they're doing you a favor by letting you live in this dump.
Drawers and cabinets are either breaking or screwed shut. I’ve put in multiple work order to fix my ac, water leaking issue and as well as other issues. They say they completed the problem and yet it’s not even fixed they come in flash a light and say ok done. There is not only issue with that inside but washers and dryers don’t work so I have to go somewhere else to wash my clothes every week. Management doesn’t care about you all they care about is getting their payment for rent but can’t do anything on their end. Last management and new management honestly sucks. Cops are always here because they is a gang related shooting or someone else is shooting their neighbor or even their roommate. This place isn’t safe for your family and it’s sad they don't go noticed on the news as much. Rent is to high for how the inside truly is rent for these apartments are to high when the newly remodeled 2x2 ones that were fixed top to bottom and have washers and dryer in them due to a fire cost less then what they are trying to charge for the ones without renovations it’s insane
Nothing is urgent to the front office. Mold is growing in the walls in my unit bathroom, and they don’t care. I haven’t had hot water going on 3 days. 3 different maintenance men with 3 different reason as to why we have no hot water. They breaker keeps tripping and if you shut it back on, the breaker box gets really hot. Multiple work order and nothing is resolved. It’s unfortunate. They want the rent on time or it’s a penalty however they don’t fix anything in a timely fashion and that’s suppose to be ok. Don’t live here. They have electrical issues. The outlets barley work and it was a fire in the building I’m in. This complex should be the last resort for your family.
The worst apartment I’ve ever lived in by far! Apartment was trashed when we moved in literally found a syringe on the bedroom floor. apartment was in very poor condition, kitchen cabinets broken, water leaking through the ceiling, maintenance guy said he fixed the problem and of course it leaked the next time it rained. Lots of roaches here. Most of the washing machines in the laundry facilities were broken. New management took over in early 2019, painted the buildings but otherwise have made no improvements in the complex or how they do business, they will claim the bad reviews are from the old management but they are just as bad if not worse than the old management. Despite the poor conditions and lack of changes to the complex they wanted to raise my rent significantly when my lease ended. then after I moved out they took 250$ out of my deposit for ‘cleaning’ despite it being very clean when we left and trash when we moved in. Avoid this place!
It is not recommended .... bad experience ... the deposit is stolen and charges are searched that later without notice they send you to collection ... they deliver the dirty apartments and when you leave they charge you cleaning even if you leave it clean. They change management and say that the problems were from the previous administration ... the apartment was neglected and the dirty and dark common area ... In administration they don't answer you for anything ... very unpleasant experience ... a star is a lot ... pests ... marijuana ... pools out of order It is not recommended .... bad experience ... the deposit is stolen and charges are searched that later without notice they send you to collection ... they deliver the dirty apartments and when you leave they charge you cleaning even if you leave it clean. Hello, Thank you for your feedback and for your residency. Your feedback is important to us so that we can continue to offer the best possible experience for our residents. Our goal is to be fair and transparent with all our residents in all circumstances, especially when charges are being assessed. If you feel that there may be any discrepancies, please give us a call and we would be more than happy to discuss.
I've been here since the beginning of 2015. I liked it at first. I felt safe. I chose them because the location is great - right near 101, 202 & 60; hospital, shopping mall, groceries. Now, I can't wait for my lease to expire. NO LIGHTS in the parking area, so you'll be walking in the dark. And good luck finding a parking spot by your building. There's 24 units in each building & about 14 spaces by each (you do the math). Management has snuck in some fees on the utility bill; I used to pay $40-42/mo for water/sewer/trash - 4 yrs later, it's $85-90/mo. There are parked cars that haven't moved in MONTHS. My sliding glass door is very difficult to open/shut, so I don't use my patio. Maintenance has looked at it, but never fixed it. It took THREE summers before they finally put in a new, WORKING A/C unit -- they insisted on giving me a "temporary" unit for 5 weeks during those previous summers. Almost none of the apartments have window screens. I was here 3 years before the gates were working. I've had my car vandalized more times than I care to mention. The light in the stairwell of my building was out for the first 3 years also. Take your laundry someplace else to get it done, because half the machines here don't work. The coils don't fit the stoves, so they buckle a bit leading to an unlevel cooking surface. My dishwasher doesn't completely drain, so there's always stagnant water. The maintenance team is fantastic; they simply can't fix things because management doesn't give them the funds or permission to correct problems.

Hello, We thank you for your feedback. We encourage you to reach out to the management office in order to address your concerns at your earliest convenience. We are consistently working on creating the best living environment possible and look forward to working towards a solution.
Currently a resident here and there is so much wrong with the place, we have constant roaches, the windows aren’t sealed so bugs and heat/cold come in constantly, there’s no storage space, very tiny kitchen and the stove top isn’t flat so things don’t cook evenly, neighbors are very loud and leave trash in the stairwells and rocks, the hot water lasts for maybe 15 minutes if you’re lucky and it’s never enough to fill up the tub for a bath. Save yourself and find someplace cleaner and nicer.

Spacious apartments. Great, peaceful, open, family surroundings with 3 pools, playground and doggie parks for our furry friends. They look very fancy for the price. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Has a gym to help us have or maintain a nice body and if you don't have internet or a computer, it also has a computer room that really helps with it. The thing I like the most, they have movies for rent...for free!! Really, really like them and enjoy them!
The price for the size of the apartment is very good, however, the management cut corners everywhere when "renovating," there is very little storage, and the maintenance doesn't care. In one instance, we had a leak in the window and master bath ceiling, they told us that fixing the roof would fix both issues, despite the fact that we are on the bottom floor (and one of the leaks was still in the window, a patched roof won't fix a badly sealed window). The office staff lost our renter's insurance information months after we signed the lease, but told us that we never gave it to them; this was after they gave us trouble about not being able to put the lease together without the insurance information. Overall, it's a great place if you're low on funds, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you can afford better.
My apartment is a nice living establishment everyone is friendly and the complex is very nice and clean and I love where I live
The utilities are veary expensive. And for the water they dont show you the bill.and the allies are veary dirty
The utilities are veary expensive.and we dont recieve the water bill.and the allies are veary dirty
Since our family has moved into these apartments we have gone through 2 managers. When we 1st moved here everything was great, if you had any issues they were addressed and fix. However once that manager was promoted to a new property everything has gone down hill. People no longer clean up after there dogs they use the grounds as a trash can. Our family is currently trying to save up money to move.
We moved in in February of 2015 the pros to these apartments are, it is a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment.it has 2 large rooms and a smaller room. It has a master bedroom. A large dining room. A full sized washer and dryer in the apartment. A tun of closet space, and a large back patio. The cons to this apartment are the tiny kitchen there is no space. Half of my dishes are still packed away in one of the closets I have only one dror in the kitchen and it is a one butt kitchen and I have a husband and 2 kids that like to be in there with me lol. All of the doors and windows are not sealed right and let hot air and bugs in the patio has no shade so all of my plants are dieing. The ac is load that if you stand by it u can not hear anything, and if we are watching TV we have to turn it up all of the way no joke. We live on the first floor and we have to go up and down stairs 12 steps in all. The walls are so thin that I can hear the family upstairs talking. It sounds like a soft voiced herd of elephant live above me. Non of the utilities are included, and when the ac runs all day long when set at 75 because all of my cold air goes out the door and windows. it costs a lot in electronic we paid $225 last month alone. And 2 of the 3 rooms have to have large fans in them to keep it under 80 degrees. I would not tell anyone to live here. Not even ppl I hate.
I recently moved here with my wife, and we are really liking it so far. The management team is very helpful and friendly. The maintenance staff is quick and so nice! We like the price and square feet of our apartment. The kitchen is a bit dated, but it is functional. The closet in the bedroom is very big which is helpful for storage. Overall, the impression is very good!
As nice as this place looks, there is a catch: the room rates change hourly. You can have one rate quoted to you in the morning, then have a different rate quoted to you that afternoon, so, your pressured into making a split second decision. You pay everything, and prices differ depending on the size of the apartment you're living in, but they don't tell you this up front. I found this out by accident when someone came in to the office complaining about that very thing. So, your monthly bill varies. If this doesn't deter you, perhaps the fact they use a credit company that goes, at least, 15 years back into your past, might. If you have anything negative in your past, and you really want to live here, make sure you take care of those problems BEFORE you even walk through the door, or you will be denied. This includes everyone who's planning to live with you. Good luck.
