Cayo Grande Navarre

When I moved in 08/2024 the bathrooms and kitchen had to be cleaned as there was dirt, dust, grime etc. The toilet tanks had black mold growing in them. I took care of it with bleach tablets. The toilet bowls had built up of the same when cleaned where the water enters the bowl. There were these teeny tiny barely able to see bugs in my sinks around my sinks and showers in the bathroom. They told me it was a Florida native bug and it’s because I stir them up by walking through the bushes… pest control sprayed. It took care of it for a month or so but they keep returning.. I’m a clean freak and I hate seeing them. It grosses me out. I started smelling an animal urine type smell in all my lower kitchen cabinets (my animals do not use the bathroom in the kitchen or outside of the litter box, outside yard, etc. They sprayed something in them but it returned a month or so later so they sprayed it again. Well it returned… I found mold on my appliances in that drawer. I sent them pictures. They said they’d check the whole kitchen. They said I had a dishwasher leak and they sealed it but when I got home I saw mold next to the drawer with the smell. So how did they not see that if they checked my whole kitchen and how does a dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen that I didn’t even notice leaking and it didn’t smell cause the returning smell in the cabinets and drawers on the other side of the kitchen?? So I said screw this, let me take this drawer out and look under it for the source of the smell since I can’t remove the cabinets and find the smell… I found trash from the previous tenants… I then sent them a picture of the mold next to the drawer and the trash and the following morning found mold in my bathroom (which just had a leak where the toilet overflowed to the bedroom and the person told me I shouldn’t worry about the water going under the baseboards it’ll evaporate.. okay.. They said they would come back the next day to look at my whole apartment. When I got home the trash, the drawer, and the mold was still present. There was not a note saying they’d been there but my doorbell camera shows they were. So I have now sprayed bleach, cleaned it all up myself, and got a dehumidifier. I am frustrated that things are not properly looked at and solved. It’s just a temporary fix. We do enjoy the pools when they are warm and are thankful for the maintenance they have done when I’ve requested a ceiling fan to be removed and they do respond quickly.

So far I haven’t had any severe issues and the issues I’ve had were addressed promptly, they are quick to come back if you are not satisfied. Overall I love the complex I live in.

The office and maintenance crew here are amazing. They are always quick to answer any questions you may have and help you with whatever you need. The maintenance is spectacular with how quick and efficient they are with fixing any issues that may come up.

The maintenance service is excellent very quick! They always take care of things very vastly! A beautiful complex too!

I lived in this apartment for five years for the price alone. The first few years the apartment was great. The last few years, not so much. The turnover of management has affected a lot. Military members be aware that anytime there is a BAH raise, the apartment complex will match it as soon as your lease is due to renew. The rental office does not answer the phone throughout the day you will have to go in person or email. Even then it’s a stretch for the response. Also when you start a lease, they don’t release the keys until the afternoon 1pm- 4pm (they open at 9am) even though you are paying for the entire day. If you break a lease, don’t forget in addition to the breakage fee, there is an additional $150 fee for no reason other than early termination. Also, mold is a big issue in these apartments since hurricane Sally. You can paint over it but it never gets rid of it. Even though you are paying for the electric, just know there is a certain temp the apartment requires you to keep the AC at to prevent mold and this goes against the FPL electric recommendations. I lived in two apartments in this complex and both had mold issues. Interesting enough during this time I developed cardiac and respiratory issues…The second apartment, I was charged for the mold issues. So regardless of the type of mold, they expect you to clean it…also, the mail boxes were broke for months with no notification from the office. The only notification was two months later when the boxes were fixed. In the meantime you had to go get your mail from the post office. There was also a shooting this year with no comment other than “don’t worry about it “ from the office saying there was no threat. for anyone looking for a place to live, you can do better than this place…trust me.

The staff are really nice, and maintenance are always on it! Bryan the maintenance guy is a great person and has tackled some pretty large issues we've had. Give this place a shot! :)

if you love mold then this place is for you! poor management, creepy maintaince guy that loves going through personal items!

All in all it's not bad. Apartments are being remodeled as they come available, and they are redoing the outside of the buildings. The biggest issue I see is the residents. In general, it seems many people that live here are just plain inconsiderate! Trash left in common areas, dog poop not picked up, revving engines in the middle of the night, trash and vandalism in the elevators. I can't for the life of me figure out why people don't take pride in where they live. A complex this size should really consider a roving patrol or security cameras. Additionally, they should really start holding people that don't follow community rules accountable for their actions.

Mold issues ! Defective windows that let water into my apartment through the hurricane they even told my insurance adjuster! That it was from windows No reimbursement mold in the storage closet nothing could be kept. Old carpet , appliances bathroom chubs and fixtures poor management dog poop everywhere kids playing on the tennis courts. Old cars left in parking are . Broken tiles by the pool!

Mold issues !! Water damage from windows ! Old nasty carpet . Old appliances. Dog poop everywhere . Old cars left in parking lot . No attention to detail .Poor management !

So beautiful and well kept! I’ve lived here for 2 years now and everyone is so nice. To all of the people that are complaining about “mold” seems like they aren’t from Florida where it’s humid and you have to stay on top of cleaning your home and windows/doors ?????

Terrible. All terrible. The people act all nice when you first meet them but they are rude and outrageous. The office hours are extremely inconvenient for anyone that works. The rent kept going up when the apartment I was in wasn’t getting any nicer. The bathtub had MOLD and was coming away from the wall. The floors are cheap and the paint job was terrible. Even the carpet was stained. I thought the apartment was going to be affordable but nice. The apartment they show is not even close to the one I got. Still costs the same though. Even when they started doing updates, they wouldn’t update my apartment, yet MY rent still went up with the updates. Don’t live there, I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

I'm a teacher and was needing a place to live ASAP. I was pressured into paying a deposit even though there were no units available and the deposit would hold one for me when it did become available. The next one they had becoming available was still weeks away. I paid the deposit but kept looking because I really needed a place to live or all my furniture, etc. was going to have to go in storage. Fortunately, I did find a place and I immediately sent an email requesting my deposit be returned. I was told that because I didn't request a refund within 3 days (I requested it on the 4th day) then my deposit was nonrefundable. This really makes my blood boil! I'm a teacher on my own trying to make it and all they care about is $$$. One day late and they won't make any exceptions.

I (Apt.1210) lived at Cayo almost 4yrs and the place is unbeatable even by the newer recently built Apartment Complex. Yes, Cayo is older than recently built models near by but Cayo Grande has and continues to improved at every level. Our awesome administrative and maintenance management is on point getting things done as soon as humanly possible including: 1.Caring for our personal packages 2.Faxing and printing access privileges 3.Free dog poop bags/stations and many other free accessories 4.Free cold bottle water and Water dispenser in the gym/pool 5.Dry sauna 6.Car wash spot 7.Free gifts, food and drink Holiday Pool Parties 8.(99%) NO ROACHES or critters 8.Gym has Cable TV and a balance variety of equipment: 4xcardio machines, multi-exercise nautilus machine, Squad/Bench rack with a nice set of Free-Weights including Dumbbells. Other things worth mentioning that I know you won’t find by the competition are the advantages of the apartment buildings layout: 1.Our patios/decks face a beautiful landscape so the view is nice. 2.It also provides us with some privacy because the buildings are far apart so that your neighbors aren’t facing right in front of your place. 3. We have two Pools, one goes up to 6 ft deep the other 5 Ft deep so you can actually swim not just stand in water. 4. Because of the rectangular shaped perimeter we have an almost 1/4mile walk/run track. 5.Most Neighbors are friendly and considerate…of course we have the few who don’t pick up their dogs mess or break some rules from time to time that’s just the way of the world. 6. Hotel conveniently next to us. 7.Gas station/Johnny Huston’s at walking distance. These are additional “Plus” to all the other amenities mentioned in their website. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to live and if you make use of the amenities like I do it’s definitely worth the price.

This is an excellent place to live. The grounds and buildings are immaculate. The maintenance crew is top notch. Their ability to resolve any issues quickly and correctly is like no other place I've seen. You will even receive a follow up call to verify any issue has been resolved to your satisfaction. The office staff are a group of young ladies that are always friendly, willing to help, and most pleasant to be around. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Living here at Cayon Grande Apts. has been quite a pleasure. Having lived for over 30 years in my own home, this is a first for me. I m approaching 77 years of age and changes in life style are hard to adjust to. This has been very easy. The office staff always has a positive effect on me. They are a group of young women whose personalities are radiant Each one of these young ladies goes out of their way to help you in whatever matter you bring before them. The maintenace crew are there in a quick response to any problem you may have and dilligence in their up keeps are always met with smiles. They never leave a job until it is completed in a better method. I LOVE LIVING HERE. There was no adjustment in my resuming life styles and being more comfortable in daily living.

Actually, my two daughters picked out this apt. With out me seeing it. I drove through one night to take a look. Lots of cars, noisy I thought. Happily I was so wrong. This is a quiet place. Everything is well kept. The office girls are so sweet. I was surprised when one of the girls went with me to show me how an exercise machine worked. We laughed together when she said , of all days to wear a dress. But, she climbed up there and demonstrated how it worked. I haven’t met any grumpy people yet. Every one will say hello and stop to visit if you have the time. I am alone here most of the time, but I enjoy the birds, clouds and the families playing outside my windows.

The office staff is friendly and helpful and maintenance issues are always addressed promptly.

I lived in this community for a little more than two years. Had a great time here and hardly could find anything to complain about. All maintenance issues were always addressed immediately !! All staff in the leasing office are very professional, approachable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to rent an apartment in Navarre. Good luck on your search for places to live and do consider Cayo Grande. Thanks to everyone in leasing office for making my experience memorable.

The apartments here at Cayo Grande Luxury Apartments are wonderful. The price is very reasonable, and the units are well insulated and have all the amenities like, 2 pools, tennis court, gym, sauna, grills, playground, business center, and coming soon a car wash. they throw parties from time to time to let the tenants meet their neighbors and occasionally a love match is made. the complex is very family friendly and even though I don't have children I have been here over 3 years and have to say the children are very well behaved and I enjoy watching them play at the playground area right outside of my back patio. Pets are allowed here but there are different buildings for pet owners which is great for me since I have allergies and stay in a pet free building. As a single female I feel safe here because they have police officers that do courtesy checks and have a very visible presence here. the management keeps the grounds nice and when ever any maintenance is needed it is done promptly and they always check back with me to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. There is a Hampton Inn next door incase you have more guests than your apartment can handle. The location of this complex is so nice that you are in sneezing distance of several military bases and beautiful beaches that people pay good money to come and visit. Each year since I have been here the management offers you curved shower rods, shampoo carpets, or light kits for your fans. Since I had all of these already I get a great carpet cleaning each year by a very professional team that usually comes within 48 hours after I make the request. But I have to tell you the main reason I love living here and it the apartment itself. The model I am renting is a 2 bedroom 2 bath. with two walk in closets (big plus for the ladies), storage room off of the patio, washer, dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, fridge with ice maker, self cleaning stove and microwave. All residents have insurance which is nice. I have plenty of coverage and liability with hurricane insurance for about 24 dollars a month. I was even allowed to paint accent walls and hang curtains instead of the blinds to give my place more of a home feel to me. The management is great here and fixes things promptly. I have been here over three years and all I have to say is I am one lucky lady to find such a great place to live. there is really a reason that they call this area Paradise.
