Cass Lake Shore Club

I recently moved into a 2-bedroom unit and had to find a place quickly. I was lucky to be paired with Katie Beyer as my leasing consultant—she made the entire process smooth and stress-free. From the very first conversation, Katie was responsive, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about helping me find the right fit. The unit itself is beautiful with modern updates, and thanks to her, I even landed one with a lake view. I’m truly grateful for Katie and the rest of the staff. Highly recommend working with her if you're looking for a place!

I am not bring paid to write this review and did not get compensated. Although slight issues come up, the staff works quickly to fix them. The property is well maintained and there is constant communication from management about updates. They have a very easy to use online system and their office is always open. I have a second floor unit and have never had a leak, pest issue, etc. They ensured I had new carpet. The kitchens are huge, as are the decks. Neighbors are friendly and no unmanaged pets. The staff only demands very reasonable things of the tenants (not parking in other spots, don’t overflow dumpsters etc. ) and are very on top of issues that come up. They are human beings and really try to accommodate when they can. Last year they completely repaved (not just patched) the entire parking lot which made a huge difference. The basement storage is awesome. The location is quiet and the night next to Orchard Lake for half the price. Honestly the best apartment I have ever lived in.

We have lived he for 4 years the old management would give a bunch of lip service since village green has taken over things are getting done. We enjoy living here!

I lived here for about 4 years because it was cheap and good location for school/work. PROS: - Maintenance is good, generally very quick and friendly to come out - 1 covered parking spot. Generally enough parking space, sometimes I'd have a bit longer walk than normal, but not too much - Lake view is nice if you get one of those apartments - Walls between units are thick, I never heard my neighbors CONS: - They raise prices every year I was there. - There is 1 washer and 1 dryer for each building (11 units). And there was a 3 month period where the washer was broken and instead of getting a new one they'd "fix" it and then it would be broken by end of the week again. Unacceptable. - Office is VERY understaffed and don't expect them to return your phone calls if you leave a message or even if you can get ahold of them and they say they will call you back. You have to hound them and most likely knock on the office door to get ahold of anybody. - My dish washer was useless. It did not clean any speck of food off dishware, it was a glorified sanitizer. If you have a newer dish washer you should be ok though. - Very hard water, be ready to deal with mineral stains - Walls between bedrooms in apartment are thin

The only issue i have about living here is the marujuna smoking in apts and wafting into the next unit. I am having this problem right now i am a asthmatic and last week i had a asthma attack. This is a health risk and issue for me. It also is in the halls i have reported this issue every time it happens i have lived here for 7 yrs and i really dont want to live here much longer with pot smoke coming into my apt its not good for my asthma .

I would say this is one of the best apartments I've lived at. Not only is there a veteran discount, but they replaced a faulty stove right away and the maintenance is always prompt and polite. I rarely give 5 stars to apartments but this one deserves it and since they changed the staff at the office, the politeness level has gone up drastically. Very nice apartment with a great rate and I'll be renewing my lease as long as my rent increases don't skyrocket and everything continues as is. Even the neighbors are polite. 5 stars.

Five stars for the units and grounds being well maintained. Five stars for location. One star for leasing office. I've been trying to resolve a lease issue for four years without success. Agents are compltely unwilling to listen to you and try to resolve the issue. They just repeatedly complain about 'corporate' without even making an effort to resolve the problem.

I live on the third floor and the people below me smoke cigarettes so much in their apartment that the smell is coming into my living room and bedroom. I have sent an email to management letting them know about this and the front office and NOTHING has been done. The smell is so bad in my apartment that I keep getting headaches from the smell every day, this is second-hand smoke. The apartment is very nice, but for how much I pay I should not have to deal with this for the next year. I was told there were cleaning people who vacuum the stairs and landings and this has not been the case. The stairs and landings are dirty. I vacuum the area on the third floor. The washing machine has black mold in the dispenser where you put your detergent. It's nice to have access to the washer and dryer and everyone keeps them and the area clean. The good thing is my apartment is nice, spacious and was ready to move right in. The exception again is the cigarette smell all the time in my apartment. The grounds are nice, good neighbors and the kids in the area are very well behaved. The area is quiet and the access to the lake is nice. When I first moved in I had two issues with the apartment and the maintenance guy came and fixed them right away. He was a great, very professional and has been here for a few years.

The maintenance and grounds keepers are always working hard— they do a really nice job! I have a 2 bedroom with 1 and 1/2 bath— it has plenty of space and I like all the closet space in the units. Main issues— we signed a lease for a year and were led to believe we would have a washer and dryer hookup in our apartment— that is how it is advertised online and what was told to us in the leasing office. After we had signed, they told us washer and dryer were in the basement— our unit doesn’t have one apparently, but we had already signed. In addition, really poor paint job— sloppy, and our balcony was left unfinished with particle board. We can see other apartment balconies have some type of rubber finish over the wood, but ours was never completed (we have lived here for a year)— and I’m going to discuss it with the leasing office next week. You literally walk out and get splinters because the balcony hasn’t been completed. Also the people in the leasing office literally force you to rush through everything— like make you sign because “there’s others who will sign if you don’t, you have to come in today”— even if that means taking time off of work. It just makes you feel pressured, and it shouldn’t be that way when you’re trying to decide the place you want to live.

I moved into the Shore Club 6 years ago after my divorce. It was going to be a temporary landing pad, but now 6 years later, I can’t see myself leaving anytime soon. The grounds are always well kept, maintenance is done quickly, the office staff and complex manager are always friendly and working to keep the place clean and in good repair. The lakefront units provide great views year round and there are boat docks for lease in the summer to enjoy all sports Cass Lake, the largest lake in Oakland County. Where else can you get an amenity like that? My kids love it here too....they have friends over to swim in the pool and lake all summer. I highly recommend this place, it’s great.

Even though they are shortstaffed and down to a couple maintenance guys I had the best experience they put in a brand new kitchen floor for me it took a total of two hours they came when they said they come they left my place clean and they even suggested that I get a new stove because mine wasn’t up to par I would recommend Cass Lake Shore Apartments. they do a great job even though they are short handed. I have been living at Cass Lake Shore Club for seven years now. I have loved the amenities that they offer, and the great pet policy. I have found the staff to be really great people, who do their best to take care of the apartments and to help those of us who live here. They are kind, friendly, helpful and really do a superb job to keep the place clean and running well. This is not an easy job, to care for 500 apartments and to help those of us who rent here. As anyone who has worked with the public can appreciate, sometimes it can be difficult but they do the very best that they can, and in my opinion, do it well. I appreciate the beautiful lake and the low crime rate here, and the quietness of the building. These buildings were built very well and you will not be able to hear your neighbors in the apartments next to you, and for me, this is a huge plus. All in all, this is a superb place to live. I am grateful to be a part of Cass Lake Shore Club.

Office staff & management is horrible. They have such horrible attitudes and are so unwilling to help. The worst part of all is they constantly are changing rules and regulations. Just be aware the rent is cheap because they can not afford to pay friendly qualified people to run day to day management. Now the maintenance staff are a great group of friendly guys! Maybe the front desk should take note! !

The office staff is absolutely horrible! I've had a number of problems since I've been here! The air conditioner from the apartment above me broke, causing the ceiling in my living room to get soaked. Case "Leak" shore is more like it. Every time I've had a problem the office staff is beyond rude about the whole situation! I've even gotten hung up on befor! I would never recommend these apartments to anyone!

Crime rate is low and that's important to me and for my children as well the scenery is lovely everyone here is over all polite and kind I simply love it here the lake is beautiful the manager and his entire team are very nice its a clean environment very pet friendly just awesome place to live

I enjoy living here! its spacious and roomy, living by the water is absoutly beautiful. You have all the basic amenitys here; yeah there are some things that are annoying...but overall im really enjoying my stay.

I have only lived in Cass lake shore club before I had to break my lease due to the WHOLE apt being covered in several types of mold as well as had 4 different flood/water damage in the month I was there! No one has come out to fix a single problem either, have heard the same old story "we'll be there today" only "today" never comes...if I could give 0 stars o would, RUN as fast as u CAN!

Best square footage and upkeep for the money! Best of all , we have lake frontage!

Not only have I made my place look like a Pintrest dream but the fact I come home to a quite place to rest my head after a long day is more then enough to make me happy. I live right on a lake and it is beyond affordable. The people are quite and I have the kindest neighbors that will always give you a cup of sugar if needed. I recommend this to anyone looking for a place. 5 stars all the way.

During my stay at Cass Lake Shore Club Apartments I have enjoyed a decent view of the lake, and a decent apartment at what I believe is a very fair price while being able to keep my furry friend with me. The downside to these apartments that I have seen is the office staff and property management team. The office staffs poor planning creates a panic for them every time any routine building maintenance needs to be done, they enter your apartment with only 12 hrs of notice.

I've lived at Cass Lake Shore Club Apartments for 20 years (the first 5 in a 1 bedroom, the next 15 in a 2 bedroom). The apartment complex sits on an inlet of Cass Lake in Waterford, and there is boat access if you want it. Waterford sounds far away, but this location borders Keego Harbor and has easy access to M-59 as well as to Orchard Lake and Telegraph roads. Shopping fairly close. The complex is about 2 miles from Meijer, 5 from Costco and 9 from Great Lakes Crossing. There's also an Aldi and Kroger nearby. Much has changed in the 20 years that I've lived here. However, there are still a LOT of things going for this place. When I was looking to move from the one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment, I looked at many other complexes, and none offered what Cass Lake Shore Club does. So, I ended up moving from the third floor of one building to the second floor of the adjacent building. And I can see the lake from my living room! All of the rooms in the apartments are fairly large. The 2 bedroom apartments have a walk in closet as well as a half bath off of the master bedroom. All 2nd and 3rd floor apartments have a good-sized balcony. I grow vegetables and herbs every year! Each apartment gets a decent-sized storage locker in the basement. But one of the most beneficial amenities is the covered parking, which is included in the rent. It's amazing the difference this makes in the cold of winter as well as in the heat of summer. There is also a workout room as well as an outdoor pool available for residents. And, pets are welcome. Each apartment building has one washer and one dryer, operated by cards rather than coins, which is very convenient. The machine to put more money on the cards is outside of the manager's office, so it can be accessed at any time. The rent is very reasonable; I don't think you can get as much for the same price in another location -- especially on a lake!

I have lives here at Cass Lake Shore club for 3 years now. I live in a nice spacious 1 bedroom apartment the rent is very affordable. If there ever an issue in your apartment the maintenance is always there right away to take care of the issue. The management are also a great team there willing to listen and help you. Bottom line i love my apartment have had no problems at all!

They were very helpful when my roommate moved out while I wasn't home. They helped me get all of the needed documents together, so I could go after her for all the back rent she owes, since she's still on the lease.

We love our apartment. It's a challenge to organize around our neighbors to keep everyone happy, but it is also a great experience. The apartments are right on the lake, so our family loves to fish and swim in it in the summer, and in the winter we ice skate. We couldn't be more thankful to have a great maintanace team who are helpful and always show us that they care. We've lived here for almost 5 years with our two son's, 10 and 2. We would love to have our rent paid for the rest of our lives. Thank you for offering "Free Rent For Life"

I really enjoy living at the Cass Lake Shore Club Apartments. We have our own private lake - Cass Lake. The peace and tranquility is priceless. One thing though, I really wish that they would change the double billing heating utility bill that they send out monthly. It really is not fair. Other than that you can't beat living here.

I really like my current apartment. They have awesome views of the lake. My big 90 lb dog truds along with me and enjoys swimming in the water. The location makes shopping easy too as there are many businesses within 10 minute drive.

I am quite glad I found this apartment complex! The location is great! Management is very helpful!! Grounds are kept up nicely. Well done !!

The best thing about this location is all their units have recently been remodeled, which gives an excellent, fresh, homey feel. I fell in love with their spacious 2 bedroom apartment during my visit. The lay- out is excellent and flows very well, giving it more of a real home feel instead of an apartment. And the value is amoung the best I've seen for so much living space. Overall, this is a beautiful, affordable property with an excellent mgmt staff, as I am currently under lease at another location with them. If I had to report anything negative it would be that the location is right off a main road, but during my visit, I didn't really notice any traffic noise. Take a look at this site, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed!!

So where do I start? I guess with maintenance. I know that their hands are tied. They have been short on maintenance help. These guys are the ones who hear all the complaints when they can do nothing about it.I'v lived here for 4 years, moved to second floor. My screen door has been broken since the day i moved in not to mention my floor is not level. They have not done anything to fix these problems. Maybe just prop my frig. up so my food wouldnt fall out of it every time we opened it. I know that the manager or regional manager, who both live here, would have these things fixed. So, second year with bugs coming in and cold air coming in. What can I do about it? I also just heard that if there is a tenent who complains to much will be asked to leave. Carton's hand are tied as well. I also know that any good reviews about this place are by the leasing agents. I know that any tenent with good reviews have not lived here long enough. So if i keep putting in work orders for my things to be fixed after 2 years am i going to be asked to leave? Also for anyone moving in. Do not bother using the washer and dryer, forget it, waste of your money.

. We have tried to let you know about these problems before by phone calls and in person on I called on 3/9/2013 about my stove in my apartment not working. Blair then picked up and told me someone will be out monday. I waited until the following friday to contact the Cass Lake shore apartments about my stove, no one came out. I called and spoke with Blair on 3/16/2013, she insured me someone will be out on Monday. Tuesday night I get home, no one for both days. I call and left a message, saying I expect someone to be out and/or a call back. I got neither. The following day, I call both Hartman and Tyner and Cass Lake. I left a message about my complaint. As of today. No response back and no working stove to cook food. How can I cook without a stove I am paying for in my apartment lease..
