Orange combines historic architecture with contemporary living in the heart of Orange County. The city centers around Old Towne District, the largest National Register District in California, where the Orange Circle serves as a central gathering place for dining, shopping, and community events. Chapman University enhances the local atmosphere, while Santiago Creek Trail and numerous parks offer outdoor recreation opportunities. The rental market includes both historic properties and contemporary communities, with current average rents ranging from $2,352 for studios to $3,563 for three-bedroom units, showing modest year-over-year increases between 1.7% and 3.2%.
Orange stands out for its plaza-centered design and preservation of historic buildings, featuring California's second-largest concentration of preserved architecture.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Casa De Sol
I moved into Casa De Sol about a month and a half ago and my experience there so far has been great. The community is on the smaller side at only 20 units and therefore very quiet and well-maintained. In previous apartments that I've lived at, I've always had at least one noisy neighbor either because of loud music or barking dogs. Here the neighbors are quiet and pets are not allowed. The newly renovated apartments feature some nice attention to detail like crown molding and painted accent walls. My apartment is spacious with lots of storage space, as was custom when the property was built approximately 50 years ago. The grounds are very well-kept and landscapers come weekly to keep the plants and shrubbery looking perfect. The on-site laundry room locks for security and the alleyway surrounding the property has very few cars driving through it and no parking issues as spots/garages are assigned. All of the shopping and restaurants on Tustin Street are right nearby but don't cause any excess noise or traffic, being that the property is off of Palm and Oak and at the end of a cul de sac.
