Property Ratings at Canvas LA
I've stayed at this complex for almost a year now and I have had great experiences with the building staff! The structure itself has seen better days but everything inside the building has been renovated. Floor plans are really spacious, and pricing is somewhat reasonable comparing to other apartments with similar amenities in the area. If you are apartment hunting I will suggest reading more reviews before you sign because that's how I decided on this place, and I'm glad I did my research! 8.5/10 would recommend living here.

Marie, Bill, and Mark are absolutely amazing, especially Marie, who goes above and beyond. They made my move-in experience less stressful and easy. Maintenance is also great. The location is wonderful and my studio is very roomy.

Canvas LA is a beautiful resort-style community right near downtown. While your right off the 110 you barely even hear the traffic because they sound proofed the walls so good. There's a pool that plays music underwater and a big hot tub (hard to find this large of a size in LA). The movie theater and two gyms and resident's two floor clubs are great for me to bring friends over for lunch (order LA CAFE so good and they deliver). I love showing off where I live. And the staff Bill, Edita and Mark helped me so much with my move and are always helpful everyday with whatever you need. There's a lot of choices in LA, you should go Canvas LA. You won't be sorry, make your friends jealous of where you live in luxury :)

My move-in experience has been wonderful. The location, floor plans available, amenities, community, and organization of Canvas LA has all contributed to my move here. The leasing and management staff are friendly and the maintenance crew is prompt. I have thoroughly enjoyed my few weeks of living here so far, and have already recommended the complex as an option to some of my friends who are looking into new apartments in the future.
Canvas is the best community in LA DT! Pool, Gym, everything is cool. Sadly only that coronavirus force leasing team to do some restrictions. But obviously, this is a big problem of humanity and not Canvas team fault. Highly recommended! Additional Thanks to Bill for fast and high-quality service.

Perfect walking distance downtown location
the levels of inconvenience that i have experienced are outrageous...no elevators for months, excessive construction, constant rotarion of staff in leasing office, lack of availability during office hours.
After touring numerous apartments in DTLA for over a week, I decided to stop by Canvas LA to inquire about leasing options. I was immediately greeted by leasing agent, Edita, who provided several choices that aligned to my needs. Her level of professionalism, patience, and thoroughness topped with a cheerful attitude made my tour experience superb. So much so that I signed the lease the SAME day! Now that I have moved into a newly renovated unit, I feel that I made a great decision. All members of the management staff that I have interacted with are wonderful and take great measures to resolve any issues. I definitely recommend residing at this complex.
Canvas LA is the place to BE!!! Move in now!!!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!! :)
Do not rent here. Management of this building is horrible since Greystar took over.the building is dirty and the elevators do not work. I will be moving out after my lease is up.
Good building. Once amenities renovation is done, it will be great. Good garage. Poor upper and in-house management.

The management is really helpful and nice, the building has great location next to highways, downtown and Echo Park/Silverlake. The ammenities are terrific and the building looks great.
Canvas LA has a welcoming staff and resident community. It's like it's own little oasis from the busy dtla streets.
As a full time student this apartment is perfect and all the amenities help with the stress
I haven't been here long but so far I am very happy I chose to move here. I don't feel creeped out in the parking garage and I feel safe. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing.
