Property Ratings at Cantabria Apartments
Saw listed units available with posted pricing, called to verify and was brought in for a tour. Only to arrive and be told the ‘currently available’ units for the same room and bathroom number are actually 4-500 dollars more a month. Big waste of my time. Very deceitful way to bring in people.
I am existing resident and let me tell you how things have changed over time. I have lived here for now nearing two years and rent has gone up three times one year after or lease ended. The office is no longer responsive to emails and or complaints. My wife and I are very easy going. Once the neighbors moved out from the apartment right above us, Cantabria decided to remove the carpet flooring and they decided to install, what I believe is the cheapest and poorest of quality laminate flooring. The reason I say this is because now my wife, newborn and I can hear EVERYTHING upstairs. Their dog running around, them closing drawers and cabinets. Every footstep they take. It doesn’t help that the couple upstairs wears clogs all day long and stomp around all night. They constantly move furniture between 2:00am-5:00am. Office has now become unresponsive and unprofessional. BEWARE OF MOVING IN TO THE LOWER LEVELS. SEARCH ELSEWHERE…. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON CANTABRIA APARTMENTS!!!
I just leased a one bedroom apartment and I’m really excited to move in. Mercedes the manager, has been so patient with answering all my questions and I’m really happy to see all the great reviews this apartments has. The gym at this place is also really awesome.
My husband and I moved to Cantabria in June 2021 while our house is being built and we love it! The community is quiet and clean, which is exactly what we were looking for . Our apartment is very spacious for a one bedroom and we love the layout and wraparound porch. The Office Staff, Mercedes & Michelle are wonderful and have made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They are also kind and helpful, which is very important to me. The maintenance staff, Lawrence and Juan, are very responsive when needed and do a good job keeping the property clean. Lawrence always has a smile on his face to go along with his kind "hello". I recommend this property %100 to anyone looking for a new apartment community to call home. Cantabria is the place to be.
Cantabria is a nice apartment community to live. The units are modern with black appliances and have a washer/dryer. The grounds are clean, well landscaped, and have many beautiful trees surrounding the areas. There is a playground, pool, gym, and walking paths to walk your pet. The staff are remarkable. The office staff, Mercedes and Michelle, are very helpful and nice with any concerns. The maintenance staff, Paul and Lawrence, are always smiling and saying hello to you on the grounds and the service orders are done quickly. Thank you to the staff!
I have lived here for about 9 months and can’t say enough good things about this community. The apartments are in great condition and the staff is exceptional. Johnny, the maintenance supervisor is nothing but the BEST! He goes above and beyond his job and makes you feel at home. Mercedez, the property manager is one of the best managers that I have had at an apartment community. Mercedez and Johnny make Cantabria feel like home. Carmen, the Assistant Manager is truly a delight and I always feel welcomed when I go to the office. If I could give them more stars I would!
My move-in process was mostly smooth and everyone in the office has been super helpful and nice to me. My only issue was that the showers don't come with curtain rods (something I've never heard of before for an apartment), so after a sweaty, hot day of moving I was ready for a shower and instead had to gross out the people of Target while I bought a rod. I've seen complaints of ants, but I luckily haven't had any, though I have seen thousands near the dumpsters. Overall, this is a beautiful apartment, and while I wasn't happy about having to move to Menifee, this apartment should make it a pleasant life here.
This community has constant landscaping that keeps it beautiful. There are pet baggies and trash cans throughout the community which is great. I love taking my puppies for walks through the complex. Been here for 3 years and have had no complaints. Any time I had an issue it was resolved within 24 hours. The pool and spa area is beautiful and I have never had a problem finding a chair to lay back on. The gym is very clean and rarely busy and has the right amount of equipment. The apartment itself is spacious and beautiful. The design is modern and the black appliances in the kitchen look great. The benefit of having a washer and dryer in unit alone is a huge plus. I would definitely recommend renting here.
Since I moved into this complex in June 2014 I have been nothing but pleased with management and maintenance. The support and professionalism the staff has is amazing. I've never been so satisfied in a complex ever. I plan on staying in this location for many year. Thanks cantabria management and staff.

Cantabria apartments is a beautiful, quiet community. My neighbors range in age from 18 to 80. The apartments cozy, comfortable and quiet - I never hear a peep through the walls. Management is great, no problems.
Cantabria is very nice community. Very clean, dog friendly and welcoming. Staff in office are always there for you.
Claudia and Mercedes are two people in the front office you never want to deal with. I moved into my apartment in October and have had no issues until December. I went into the front office on December to make sure they received rent. They had not and I returned home and ensured the payment was made through PayLease, the website/company they use for online payments. I saw them multiple times since the beginning of December and heard nothing. We made a January payment on time. A week later we received a 3 day notice on the door. It turns out our bank had flagged our account as we made the payments, so we straightened it out in a day. We spoke to Mercedes who said if we paid what was owed from December plus water, she would not take further action until the 22nd. So that's what we did. They received the payment and today (the 14th) I received a 24 hour notice. Mercedes said she had never made that agreement and Claudia said that even if she had it would have meant nothing because of our rental agreement. I called them out on their bull tactics (they tell you not to worry about the notices, they won't REALLY do anything, it's just to get people working to solve the issue) and Claudia proceeded to call me a child. I've just hung up the phone on her because of this. I do not take kindly to being chastised or insulted by anyone, least of all a middle aged woman who can't even remember to put in a work order when asked. The only person in the front office I have anything nice to say about is Jenny, who is always friendly and helpful.
This complex is well maintained. Not in a really good location though. :( Too close to freeway and too close to a main, VERY BUSY, noisy street! And right next to a community college. :(
