Canopy Apartments

My one-year stay in this apartment complex was nothing short of a nightmare, an experience that came with a hefty price tag. The management's consistent rudeness only added to the already unbearable circumstances. Despite enduring through 8 out of 12 months without any air conditioning, the situation only marginally improved when they resorted to installing window units as a temporary fix. Even then, the relief was short-lived. Living directly above a rowdy bunch of frat kids amplified the daily struggle, their boisterous parties lasting well into the early hours of the morning. Despite numerous attempts by law enforcement to mediate the situation through the management, no meaningful action was taken. Furthermore, the spotty internet connectivity throughout my tenancy further compounded my dissatisfaction. Faced with such appalling living conditions, I often found solace in the refuge of my girlfriend's home, rather than enduring the agony of residing in my own supposedly comfortable haven. Canopy needs a significant overhaul of their management strategies and a profound introspection into their operational flaws to rectify these persistent issues. My association with this complex is a chapter I am relieved to have left behind. I kindly request not to be contacted. My rating for this establishment remains an unequivocal 0/5 stars, if such a rating were possible.

Management can be very rude at times. They raised rent almost $200 from the last year, and for the first 6 months they refused to replace our TV, and for almost 2 years they have refused to fix our ethernet port. They claimed only students live here, but there are many older residents who are very sketchy. The bus stop is not safe to walk to, as there are homeless people who will harass you, especially if it’s after sunset. The only way out of the complex is to drive through a very shady road. The amenities are terrible, as residents will always break the gym equipment and it will takes months to fix. My friend was benching when the bench collapsed backwards and he almost crushed his head. If you’re a freshman about to sign, PLEASE visit the area first and see if you’re comfortable living in a shady area.

I love being at Canopy. I was introduced to the complex by TJ. He has helped my organization do great programs there and has helped some of us find an apartment there. I have attended some of the events for the residents and felt right at home. Excited to live there next year!

Canopy is a great property. The upgrades are beautiful and the staff is great. I also love that there is a dog park that is lit at night that I can take my pups too.

I would not recommend living here. The management was extremely unprofessional. They charge you fees that are NOT in the lease. They repainted the apartment 6 months late and left paint all over my stuff and my roommates stuff. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Save yourself the trouble!

I've lived in over 5 apartment complexes in Gainesville, FL and Canopy is by far the best (for lack of a better word). It's beautiful, clean, great location, amazing amenities, and very decently priced. The gym is amazing and the pool area is like a resort. I would never dream of living anywhere else in Gainesville. LIVE HERE! You won't regret it.

I have lived here going on 3 years and the worst thing I can think of is having printer issues, of which the office staff willingly printed what I needed. Study areas are great, as well as the newly renovated office space, gym and pool.

Amazing landlord and amazing apartment! Not in the greatest neighborhood but you get a lot for your money.
