Best Neighborhoods in Broken Arrow, OK
Some of the neighborhoods in the city with the lowest crime rates include the area around Kenosha Street and Aster Avenue to the west, which also has relatively high home values. Nearby Willow Ave and Toledo Street offers similar safety and value. The neighborhood surrounding 71st St and Forest Ridge Blvd is also quite safe with high-value homes. However, Broken Arrow was found to be the safest city in the state in a 2007 survey, so most neighborhoods are safe to live and raise a family.
If you want to live in a "hip" neighborhood, the recent revitalization of downtown and the Rose District might be right up your alley because it's so close to shopping and dining. It's not upscale, but the restaurant is clean and the food, which includes egg rolls and peanut sauce, is some of the best and most unique Asian-inspired food you've ever had.
- Los Cabos shows that Oklahoma knows how to do Mexican food right. The service is always highly rated while prices are low enough to treat the whole family. Of course, you'll have to enjoy a margarita before you leave!
- Rooftop just opened in main street. The artisan pizzeria and bar is literally build on the rooftop of the Raw!
Broken Arrow might be a suburb of Tulsa, but that doesn't mean that the city doesn't offer a few sites for tourists and residents. For example, the Broken Arrow Historical Society is a great way to learn about local history. The museum is located near the city's original train depot and often holds events, some of which allow you to view the museum with free admission. Exhibits change frequently, but all of them teach your about the growth of the city from 1828 until now.
If you're not the type who likes to spend time inside, you can enjoy yourself and bring the family - and even the family dog - to several of Broken Arrow's parks. Two of the best parks in the city are Ray Harrell Nature Park and Haikey Creek Park. The former brings you closer to nature. The Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center features plays, fine art and pop culture events. There's something for everyone. Comedian Sinbad, The Ten Tenors, Ricky Skaggs and even middle school talent shows are among the entertainment hosted at the venue.

You'll easily find the hottest or most quaint shops in Broken Arrow by browsing the Main Street Broken Arrow Merchants Association website. From antiques to jewelry to specialty foods, you'll find it all in Broken Arrow. Some of the notable shops include Bella Vita, a shop that sells home decor and gifts, and a local jewelry store known as Star Jewelers.
The downtown Rose District is home to many of these shops, and it's also where you'll go if you want to visit a local farmer's market. Every April, the market opens to shoppers once again.
