Because Sherwood Forest sits within the larger neighborhood of Broadmoor, the area is often referred to together. Sherwood Forest is located between Florida Boulevard and I-12 on the southeast side of Downtown Baton Rouge. This neighborhood extends roughly from Sharp Road east to Flannery Road. It is a very close-knit residential neighborhood complete with a Citizen's Association that organizes community events, including cleanup days and neighborhood garage sales.
Defined by large trees, expansive lawns, and wide sidewalks, Sherwood Forest feels very much like a suburban community. But residents can easily reach downtown in less than 15 minutes, and Louisiana State University is just eight miles from the neighborhood.
