Property Ratings at Brim and Crown
I have been a resident at Brim & Crown for over a year and have generally had a good experience. However, management has consistently let things slide and tried to blame the residents as a collective rather than helping or doing the right thing. Most notably and most recently, my car was broken into in the Brim & Crown garage — rear left window smashed — and at least two other cars were hit that same night. We pay $100/month per car for garage parking, yet no one from building management was present while residents were in the garage filing police reports. I emailed management immediately — no response for over 24 hours… until late the next morning, they sent out a tone-deaf email titled “Important Reminder: Garage Awareness & Vehicle Safety.” It vaguely referenced an increase in incidents across the state, then shifted blame to residents with advice like: “Always lock your vehicle.” “Remove or conceal valuables from plain view.” “Do not allow other vehicles to follow or ‘tag’ in behind you at the garage gate.” “Do not allow pedestrians to enter through the garage gate.” “Never leave your keys or key fob inside the vehicle.” “Avoid leaving your car idling unattended.” “Report any suspicious activity directly to building management.” There was no mention that multiple break-ins had occurred inside their own garage, no acknowledgment of the garage’s obvious security issues, and no plan to improve anything. The gate at Brim & Crown is completely ineffective — people can walk right through it even when it’s shut. Car break-ins in Norwalk are on the rise, and Spinnaker has made it clear they will do nothing to stop them or protect residents. If you’re thinking of moving here, DO NOT. You and your property, namely your car, won’t be safe — and management won’t care.
Staff very professional! Love the ceilings and apartments are amazing.
