The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Brick Towne at Signature Village
The apartment itself is actually really nice, and management is good. There's just too much noise from upstairs neighbors. I've been here 3 and a half years. There have been 3 different tenants living above me during that time, and every single one of them stomp. There doesn't seem to be any noise insulation. I can hear conversations people have upstairs and everything. You might have better luck on the top floor.
Every year they change the rules about one thing or another. The walls are extreeeeeemely thin and you can hear everything and will not be able to have your own privacy either. The management treats you like you are a problem even if you bring up a problem that is within the lease that they are responsible for. They also push you to renew your lease at least 90 days in advance. Which puts undue stress on tenants who later find out that the new lease is worse than the first go round. Happy Hunting!
I rented here for 2 years (a 2 bedroom unit on 3rd floor) and had absolutely no issues. I see a lot of complaints about hearing neighbors/thin walls, but I rarely had a problem with it. Honestly, it’s a part of apartment living, you will hear neighbors. Any time I had a maintenance request, which was not often at all, they were quick to take care of it. Anytime I had a concern about the internet, or anything related to the apartment I could email management and they would get back to me quickly. I am moving back to a 1 bedroom now and looking forward to being back. Only complaint I had in my previous building was the parking situation, but the building I was in didn’t have a full lot for parking and just had parking in front and by the pool/leasing office and they were usually full after 5pm.
Management couldn’t care less about their tenets. Walls are extremely thin, you will always be able to hear neighbors upstairs and around you. Signing a lease or pet agreement means nothing, if you voice concerns or point out something that has been broken in the lease they will have an excuse for why it was broken. It’s also extremely over priced, and you do not get what you pay for at all
I lived at Brick Towne for about a year around the time the 3rd building opened and I can safetly say that it is WAY overpriced. Pros: -New building, the appliances are nice -Decent location Cons: -The soundproofing between apartments is ABYSMAL. You can hear any and everything going on in your neighbors' apartments, from talking to doors closing to water running. And if you don't live on the top floor, be prepared for the sounds of an elephant parade happening in the apartment above you at all times. -The price per square foot is at the higher end of what you'll find in Ankeny -You won't be able to park anywhere near your apartment if you get back after 9 PM -The internet included in rent is 10 mbps and you can't even pay to upgrade it -Other than internet/cable and a washer and dryer in unit, there really aren't any other amenities. No gym, pool, clubhouse. There's barely even an office onsite. -There's one small dumpster for each building so by the end of the week the dumpster is full and people just throw their trash on the ground near the dumpster -Everything feels very cheaply made. One day I was opening my refrigerator and the handle came right off (and I know for a fact I'm not the only person that's happened to). Similar thing happened with the blinds for the sliding glass door. There are definitely better apartments in Ankeny you can get for the same price with more space and more amenities.
It's great! It's brand new, great location, and loaded with updated appliances. Because it is new it does have a few little problems in the apartments themselves but nothing that maitance can't fix ASAP Im glad to call it home for a few years while in school!
Brand new complex with all new appliances and great amenities including free internet and cable! It's in a great location with downtown Des Moines just minutes away and schools surrounding the area. The property manager has been great and the maintenance are always around to help. It is an awesome place to live starting off and I personally recommend it!
