Brentmoor Apartments

Living here has been frustrating due to ongoing security and maintenance issues. The front gate has been broken since I moved in back in October, and despite new management taking over around the same time, nothing has changed. There are no cameras around the building, making security a major concern. On top of that, it took months just to get my mailbox situation resolved, and I’ve had to follow up multiple times on basic repairs, like getting the lights in my unit fixed. Management is unresponsive, and issues that should be addressed quickly drag on for months. If you're considering moving here, be prepared for constant delays and a lack of urgency when it comes to resident concerns.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. There are roaches everywhere, the gate works sometimes, no security cameras, inconsistent office hours, pool is closed half the summer, there's trash on the ground that stays there for months. Poorly done apartment cabinets and finishings. Seems like the appearance of the front of the complex is more attended to than the actual community. Kids are loud and unsupervised in the gym. Generally feel unsafe walking around the complex. Gym equipment does not consistently work. Balcony by the pool with lounge chairs that you cant use. People steal packages from your front door. Front desk staff is nice but they have no control over what management mandates. 50$ fee to pay rent online is outrageous. Get out while you can!

I have had the absolute worst experience living here. The communication from the management team is non-existent, and when they do finally respond, they are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Maintenance requests take forever to be addressed, and when they finally do show up, it's clear they don’t care or know how to actually fix anything. I once put in a request for pest control due to cockroach infestation and the person who came to address the situation literally took a can of raid and sprayed it in the corners of the place. He didn’t even spray the entire unit. The staff, including the property manager, and regional manager, are more concerned about squeezing every last dollar out of you than providing decent service. They charge exorbitant prices for out of date appliances and units that are nowhere near worth the rent they demand. The property is a mess—dogs are constantly off-leash, and the place is always trashy and junky-looking. My neighbors have had a rotting couch on their patio for over eight months, and nothing has been done about it. This place is a disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

I lived here for about a year. The apartment I moved into was actually the apartment they had been using for showings, so things were new and recently renovated- can't speak for the inside of other apartments. You can clearly tell the buildings are old. Creaky wooden steps that look like they want to break any minute. The complex wasn't located in the best area. It's known for drug activity and I frequently noticed police officers sitting in the parking lot. The hallways, and sometimes my apartment stunk of marijuana. People were also disrespectful and would play loud music at all hours of the night, so it was sometimes difficult to get a good nights sleep. Things were often broken- when I first moved in, the gate didn't work. Around April the gate finally started working again only for one side to immediately break. There is also a severe pest problem and you can't step outside your door without being assaulted by cockroaches, however, I thankfully only ever found one in my home. Overall, not the worst place you could live, but if you have the money, live somewhere safer and nicer.

I would give a 0 if possible. This has been the worst apartment experience ever in my 7 yrs of living in different apartments. This one is hands down the worst. This place needs to be shut down. There’s a reason there are so many availabilities of apartments on the website. Let’s start with all of the cockroaches in the apartment. They basically become your pets because it takes 3 weeks from reporting for pest control to come spray. Then, you see more so if you live here be ready to also live with roaches. Then be ready to live in 78-80+ degree heat during the dangerous heat waves because when the AC goes out it takes them 3+ weeks to handle it (btw still not handled), and expect to be ignored when emailing, calling, voicemails etc. Another thing for the 12 months living here they went through 3 different payment systems and change all the time. The current one that from the start gave me and many other residents issues (as said by the administration office) is that THERE IS A $50 CONVENIENCE FEE FOR ALL DEBIT CARDS. It’s just morally wrong. I have a long list of other things but just don’t do it. This place is too expensive for what it is and they don’t treat their tenants appropriately. And I am honestly the happiest I’ve been in awhile knowing I only have less than 2 months until I can move out of this apartment and never come back :)))))))

The photos and some of the reviews don't tell the whole story. The gates are always broken. Residents are loud, both when walking in/around the buildings, and in their cars in the parking lots. They think loud cars are cool, as well as blasting music as loud as possible. There is always trash on the ground. The recycling dumpsters are always full of trash, and often have trash piled up beside them. The main trash dumpster is overflowing on the weekends. Sometimes the valet trash folks decide not to show up. It's obvious that people living here don't care about their community, which is sad. I will not be renewing my lease here and I suggest you find someplace where the residents care enough about the community and the other residents that they don't behave the way the residents here do.

I love Brentmoor Apts. The office and maintenence staff is awesome and professional manner and I would live here forever.

The apartment living is average. The trash valet sometimes can be an issue overall its okay. The community manager needs improvement on how to respond to residents, organization, and consistency in the management area.

I really enjoy living at Brentmoor Apartments. I would consider it to be a safe apartment complex, with friendly staff and neighbors. They have great activities to get the community involved such as food trucks and competitions, especially around the holidays. Moving to Raleigh has become easy living at Brentmoor, and glad to have met great friends here. I would recommend to anyone!

I truly love living here. It's so quiet and the office staff are super. I would recommend everyone to move here if I could.

Apt is decent. The gate hardly ever works. Grounds not the cleanest. Recently implemented visitor parking and none of the visitor spaces are ever available. Very inconvenient. It’s not enough visitor spaces for the amount of apts they have. Property manager is constantly changing.

Brentmoor is by far one of the classiest apartments I have ever lived in! The community is pleasant and Im in the heart of the city!

Nice community, conveniently located & clean atmosphere. On move-in day I was given an alexa microwave. Not quite sure how to use alexa but the microwave works just fine. This worked out perfectly since the apartment does not come with a microwave. I have lived here for a month now and I enjoy it so far. Only thing that kind of annoys me is the entry gate issues. Sometimes the gates will not open on certain sides. Also, sometimes the gates are left opened which defeats the purpose of being a gated community. Other than that, I am happy with my apartment.

Just moved in the apartment complex. The office staff has been very friendly and helpful. The maintenance has arrived in a timely manner and completed issues. Overall so far the community is very nice.

Brentmoor is a great place to live if you want to luxury of living in the city, but the quietness of a suburb. I love that there are places to walk my dogs and people are always out. As a young women, I feel safe walking my dogs at night and I love this community.

We have had a very positive experience with the staff, and very satisfied with our apartment.

So far since Ive moved in at the end of July , they have been so professional and made my move so much easier . Any problems Ive had they made it their priority to make sure I could reach them the quickest and best way possible. The neighborhood is very beautiful the apartments are very spacious . Best apartment/neighborhood Ive been in thus far !!

Brentmoor apartment is one best place to be. Clean environment, good security, and great staff.

A wonderful community to live in. Neighbors are quiet, property is clean and well kept, office staff is responsive, and I have not had a single maintenance issue!

We have only been living in Brentmoor for 10 days and have been enjoying it so far. Due to the Covid-19 things are not normal everywhere but Timeka, made the move here so convenient and easy. She kept me updated on all I needed to know and didn't hestitate to answer all my questions and was very patient with doing so. The community seem to be nice, quiet, and clean for the most part. Brentmoor are spacious average apartment in a good location accessible to pretty much everything.

Brentmoor apartments is a great place to live however the new management company that has taken over is not good at all. The front office people that are working are not working to the best of their abilities. They are not putting in work orders on time. The residence looks extremely dirty they are not power washing outside. Its embarrassing for me as a resident for anyone to come and visit here. The outside of my apartment looks unpleasant because it has not been power washed. Brentmoor used to be a nice place to live but management has changed and so has the apartments!

I am definitely happy and feel like I made a good choice.

The apartment itself was nice on the inside. I did appreciate the flooring and spaciousness it has. However, the walls are paper thin and you can hear neighbors every move or step. We couldn't wait to leave because of this particular issue. Maintenance services were not the best but it seems they were never staffed appropriately. Finally, the grounds had dog poop regularly that was left out and not picked up by the community . Other than this the outside grounds were kept tidy and neat which I did also appreciate. It is not the worst apartments out there but it is the most disappointing experience I have had with an apartment complex considering the price.

Great Community dont know the office staff as well as the old team , need more events to keep the community running as well as it has. Nothing major, just meet and greet, Donut day ,ice cream day, chips and dips day . Something for a Large Community with quite residents that would love to come together to know who we all live around in such a Lovely Community. Thank you

The community is very clean and quiet. The staff is very nice and easy to work with. In the two months Ive lived here Ive enjoyed it so far.
