Living at Breakers Point has been an amazing experience! The property is gorgeous and truly feels like a vacation every day. The homes are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, offering a comfortable and stylish living space. The management team is incredibly friendly and always available to assist with any needs or questions. The service here is top-notch, and they really go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. The community amenities are fantastic and make life here so convenient, and the location is perfect—just a short distance from shopping, dining, and entertainment. I would highly recommend calling Breakers Point home—you won't regret it!

Amazing office staff, even more amazing maintenance!! As with every apartment I have ever lived in, there were a few quirks at the beginning. Maintenance had every one handled within 24 hours. Great staff. Do not hesitate to choose Alta Surf as your new home. Amazing location, great amenities, and always a wonderful place to come home to. I have just finished my first year here and I will most certainly spend many more here.

I’ve been here almost a year and I can’t wait to leave. Constant AC failure I called him about every month what the air conditioning going out and now I have soaking wet carpet in the master bedroom imagine coming home to soaking wet carpet on your feet!!! also very limited parking and they only allow you one car Per resident “AVOID THIS PLACE”

The apartment has limited closet space and it is older although updated. Overall it is a nice apartment with some community amenities. The issue here is the very limited parking space and the unwillingness and inability from office staff to address it. Part of their email response to me was "...drive around the parking lot until you find one". If you don't have a car our your daily schedule permits for you to be home before 6pm. This could be a good place for you since the apartments are overall nice and it is a quiet area.

Our first few weeks here have been wonderful. We really enjoy it here & love our apartment. The location is awesome.....thank you for looking out for me & the never-ending Southern Hospitality.

I have lived at Alta Surf going on 3 years now. My family and I have enjoyed every part of Alta Surf from the grounds, community feel, staff and amenities. They have monthly events to keep things interesting and it allows you to meet more of your neighbors. The pool is our favorite spot! I know a lot of people complain about there being no playground however I rented here knowing that and it hasn't been a problem for us! We take advantage of all the others things they do have. I feel safe and its great to know I'm coming to a home each day that is taken care of and maintained. I totally recommend!

Alta Surf is fine for people who don't mind fairly rigorous rules and ridiculous fines (like $25 for having a garbage bag at your front door for 10 minutes because you were vacuuming your front foyer). It is well located with easy access to Myrtle Beach and points north or south. It does have a nice pool and clubhouse. The maintenance staff is attentive and they do fix things quickly. You have to cart your garbage to a dumpster and the mailboxes may be a bit far depending on where your apartment is within the complex. As some other reviewers have suggested it's not the most kid friendly place but not bad for pets. Security is a concern as my apartment was robbed within the first 2 months of living there. In the apartment above me the tenants were fairly noisy at all hours of the night and I could get little assistance from management. Management was completely disinterested in negotiating the last 2 months of my 1 year lease despite the apartment being empty. In their defense they did have a signed lease and a deal is a deal but understand that these people live by the letter of the Law and their regulations, rules, etc and will not negotiate with you period. If you're ok with that and many people are, then knock yourself out, its not a bad place. But you can do better especially if you want to be close to the beach (walking distance).

Worst management I have ever experienced. They lack professionalism and or experience. They are vulchers. I lived there for five years and heard complaints from former residents I became friendly with several neighbors they were charged excessively for normal wear and tear of the carpeting ,improper spackeling ,painting ,cleaning etc. They claimed small trivia issues to glom your security deposit. It wasn't until I moved they pulled the same trick with me. You can pretty much kiss your security deposit goodbye. In addition I received numerous harassing letters while living there on my door threatening penalties for erronous claims of not picking up after my pet (with no proof or witness or fact checking) I always picked up. My small Chihuahua was disabled I had to carry her BC she could hardly walk and got letters claiming i walked her without a leash . More threatening warning letters left on my door. Don't walk away from this complex my suggestion is RUN. Find another place to hang your hat.

After living through out North Carolina and now South Carolina, I can now say I have found HOME at Alta Surf apartments. Close to the beach, very close to shopping, easy access to highways and by ways. My apartment is perfect for me. The maintenance team has taken care of all my needs. The office staff is friendly and helpful when I need them. The grounds are lush and well groomed. Pool is fantastic, pet park is nice, its fun to see the dog running and playing safety. My neighbors are nice. I have been here over 2 years and I don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon..Come join us at Alta Surf, you will be glad you did!

Amenities galore including property car wash, dog park, recreational facility including spacious indoor lounging area, fitness center and a clubhouse area for catering events. Also featuring a grand, luxurious tropical pool area with plenty of grilling sites and lounging. Perfect for singles, couples and even retirees, this "alta" be everyone's first choice for elegant and upscale living. Ground are professionally kept throughout the year and staff are always available and happy to assist. Altasurf - Because everyone "Alta" live well!

The staff is very friendly, professional and expert in making us feel right at home. They are always very happy to assist you in any way possible. One of my favorite features of this apartment is the open concept layout. The apartment is terrific, with the rooms being just the right size and it comes with many safety features. To my amazement, having never seen this before, there’s a sprinkler in every room. Also, there are hardwired smoke alarms throughout the apartment. I love my screened-in porch and its view, which is tree-lined. There is ample room in both walk-in closets that also include built-in shelves. The laundry room is perfect and has roomy cabinets. The kitchen has great appliances, perfectly placed for the greatest efficiency and includes a dishwasher, built-in microwave oven, an electric stove with oven, a nice sized refrigerator and lots of cabinets. The double-sink is built into an island that faces the living room, making it easy to talk to your guests while preparing food. The windows are large and let in a lot of daylight, which I love. There are tons of outlets, so no extension cords are needed, ever. The apartment comes fully carpeted except for the kitchen and the two bathrooms, which have nice flooring that’s easy to clean. The outdoor swimming pool is large, gorgeous and always has sparkling clean water, since it is very well-maintained at all times. There are several lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and regular chairs with plenty of room for everyone. There are grills close enough to each building for convenient cooking if you want to bring the food back to your house. If you want to eat near the grill, they all have a nice picnic table and a large wastebasket nearby. We have a large clubhouse that contains a large screen TV, lounge chairs, a pool table and a coffee machine. The business office has two great desktop computer setups that include printers and copiers. There’s also a bookshelf for borrowing books and there’s a free DVD lending library. This is a wonderful, dog-friendly community and there are many conveniently-located doggy cleanup stations. Best of all for us dog-lovers is that we have a doggy playground! You practically don't even need a car! Relocating here was the best move I ever made. It’s like being on a permanent vacation!

We are both 65 and I have had my share of illnesses. We sold our home in Massachusetts and started to look for apartment living in the Myrtle Beach area. This is where we came across Alta Surf. We made an appointment to go in and see what they had to offer, everyone was so friendly and helpful they had already made us feel welcomed and we hadn't signed an agreement yet. They were not pushy just helpful. I needed suggestions as to where to go for cancer specialists, urologists etc. they actually printed off hospitals, specialists, etc. and gave them to me. As I already stated we hadn't signed anything yet and they went that far out of their way to help someone. We were greatly impressed by that. After that they took us on a tour of Alta Surf and showed us the apartments that were available. It didn't take us long to know this is where we belonged. We have been here a little over 2 1/2 years and just signed on for a third year. They had everything we wanted barbecues, beautiful pool with all the lounge chairs and tables and chairs you would ever need along with a beautiful clubhouse. I have never had a problem that they did not work with me to solve. The maintenance crew here is amazing. They will come in to correct any problem you are having almost immediately. I know back home in Massachusetts a service tech. was always days out for an appointment, not here your problems are taken care of right away. They also have lawn maintenance that comes in weekly to make sure everything is beautifully kept up, they even have a dog park!!!! As far as activities go, the rental office is always coming up with ideas to keep our little community together in a fun way. The pool is amazing and very well kept up. My husband is there everyday, it is a joy for him to enjoy it and not have to clean it and keep up the maintenance of it. The free car wash is another perk we also enjoy. We have also made quite a few friends here, it's nice to be able to stop and talk to your neighbors about our families and whether or not your going to the pool today and have them say save me a seat I'll be down later. It is just a very friendly, caring, safe place to live. We may have been a little nervous about moving to Myrtle Beach after owning our own home for 30 years but after finding Alta Surf and the maintenance free living we know we made the right decision.

Let me give any family with kids a HUGE warning stay as far away from Alta Surf apartments as you can!!!! Not kid friendly at all! I live there for 6 months and have a 10 year old son. About 3 weeks after we moved in everyone in the complex received 7 pages front and back of NEW RULES. Rules included Kids cant play in the grass and couldnt play in grass around pool. Bikes, sckateboards, skooters are not allowed ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY. My son stayed in his room all summer because he was unable to do anything outside at Alta Surf where we lived. Couldnt wait to get out of this place it was horrible! Had another friend that lived there with 2 daughters the same age as my son and they got the heck out of there after 6 months for the same reason! She said her girls were miserable living there! Also I have never lived anywhere where you can actually hear your neighbor snoring in the bedroom next to yours! You hear everything. Very cheaply made apartments!

Have not seen interiors yet but have visited outside. Very impressed
