Mature trees and sidewalks line the streets of Tonawanda, a riverside city bordering the Niagara River and situated around Ellicott Creek. Tonawanda is close to Niagara Falls and the Canadian border, less than 10 miles north of Downtown Buffalo. Parks stretch along the rivers, and boating is a popular pastime in Tonawanda.
Tonawanda is a terrific place to live -- after renting an apartment here, you'll be able to enjoy the riverwalk path in Niawanda Park, catch a concert at Gateway Harbor Park, or attend one of the city's many festivals. Canal Fest, a week-long festival that began in 1983, celebrates the city's location on the historic Erie Canal. One of the city's landmarks, Tonawanda Castle, is a former armory built in 1896 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, this impressive building -- complete with a 100-foot turret -- is a privately-owned event space.

I loved living at the Boulevard Suites. My unit was newly renovated. Maintenance responds immediately and the common spaces were cleaned regularly. The location is great too as it's next to the thruway and all the shops at The Boulevard. Def would recommend to anyone looking.
