The Atlanta BeltLine started as Georgia Tech student Ryan Gravel’s master’s thesis in 1999 and has since flourished into an iconic Atlanta landmark. Property Ratings at Block Lofts
I enjoy the place for what it is. Certainly not as nice as other places nearby, but also a good bit cheaper. The management is pretty rough though. One time they asked residents to move their cars while I was out of town and ended up booting a bunch of people's cars and refusing to reimburse even though we live here. They were very rude throughout the whole process. Also, the gate is broken constantly and doors to the community are often propped open.
The premises here are pretty nice, but the property is not well-managed. Rats and roaches abound. One of the door handles in the parking garage has been missin for over a month - it's so hard to open the door. The leasing office never answers the phone and just disappears for far longer than a "tour" would last - clearly playing hooky. They're rude and unhelpful with questions too. I will say this: they're very fast at fixing maintenance requests. But in terms of issues with lease etc, they are AWFUL.
Block Lofts' current management has been quite good compared to the ones in the past. Notification of package arrival (received by the front office) is done by email and about 12 hrs behind. Maintenance folks are good at what they do, but they are bit slow in responding to service requests (it took almost a week for them to come and replace a leaky toilet valve! but managed to fix a fuse box issue within two days). Since this property is located right off the BeltLine, it is perfect for cycling, walking to Ponce City Market, Whole Foods, Kroger, etc. Also, being so close to the BeltLine makes it a target for being expensive. Fortunately, it isn't as expensive to rent as the other apartments along the BeltLine, but it is also not the fanciest among them and probably one of the oldest one. Nonetheless, these factors make it slightly more economical than other places in the area. This is place is located in a really, really great spot. Can't beat it. Note that this place has condo units mixed in it, so the condo residents are not polite and great as they think renters are lowering their property value or something. A 5 story Parking garage on site. I haven't had any roach issues (except for a rare occasion of one or two crawling in from outside), but some of my neighbors had issues. I'm guess in it is more of an issue with their lifestyle and not the apartment being infested.
Block Lofts has a great location, sitting only a couple mins from the downtown connector and steps to the Beltline. I wouldn't trade the location for anything!
The location is amazing, the upkeep is not good. The pool area is not cleaned well, if ever.

Block lofts has a great location next to the beltline so I'd give the walking score a 100. The staff is very friendly, although not great at maintaining the pool and hall way areas.
I've lived here for 3 years, and there is something to be said about that alone. I love my apartment, the concrete floors, the layout, the location, but the management leaves something to be desired. August of 2014 I went out of town for work for close to a month, and when I got back, I found out (the rather dramatic way) that my AC unit had broken and skyrocketed my power bill to over $1,400.00. The management company said that it wasn't their responsibility and offered no assistance (even though in the lease it says they are responsible for all fixtures including the AC Unit). I'm currently (June 2015 forward) with the bulk contract that Block Lofts signed with Comcast/Xfinity. My internet has not worked for over 6 weeks, and no one can assist. The cable and internet is built into my rent, so I have to pay for it or, I get evicted. So even though my internet doesn't work - I'm still paying for it. Management has changed 3 times since I've been here, and each one is marginally better than the last, but still subpar when thinking of managing a property. They are nearly impossible to get on the phone, and randomly close the leasing office. I wish they would get their act together, because hiring a lawyer to handle all of their promises isn't cost efficient.
