Property Ratings at Block 600
I’ve stayed here for 7 days, and unfortunately, it’s been a very disappointing experience ; especially for the price. The apartment itself is fantastic and has modern appliances, which I appreciated. But the road noise makes it nearly unlivable. Despite being marketed as “white noise,” what you actually get is constant traffic noise averaging around 75 decibels. I’ve lived in downtowns my entire life and consider myself a reasonable person, but this is out of hand. The layout only makes it worse. All 1- and 2-bedroom units face the street, and the bedrooms are placed directly next to large street-facing windows. While it may look sleek, there is virtually no sound insulation. Comfort clearly wasn’t a priority in the layout. To make matters worse, there are tens of unfortunately, displaced individuals gathered just outside the building every single day. This is not a rare occurrence unfortunately; it’s a reality that anyone living here should be prepared If you have hearing impairment and don’t mind the smell of weed, this is a reasonable place to live.
Parking is a mess, homeless shelter is across the street, needles, and the only overpriced grocery story in the area on the first floor. You hate sleeping you should live here.
