South Madison extends along Highway 18, south of Lake Wingra, to roughly the edge of Lake Monona. It includes several parks and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum. The neighborhood contains the popular Alliant Energy Center, a premier destination for concerts, sports events, and conventions. This large complex includes the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Willow Island, and the Exhibition Hall.
If you move to South Madison, you’ll appreciate the variety of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, especially as you get closer to the Alliant Energy Center. South Madison offers a terrific blend of city life, being less than a mile from Downtown Madison, and a suburban location filled with parks.
