Located about 14 miles northwest of Downtown Tampa, Citrus Park provides a suburban, old-Florida feel, complete with palm trees and moss-covered oak trees. Citrus Park is a large neighborhood, stretching from Mobley and Hutchinson Roads south to West Linebaugh Avenue. The Veterans Expressway runs through the center of the neighborhood.
Citrus Park is home of the Big Cat Rescue, one of the world's largest accredited cat sanctuaries for abused and abandoned big cats. The rescue offers guided tours of their big cats, which includes endangered cats such as cougars, leopards, tigers, lions, ocelots, lynx, caracals, and bobcats. The Zaksee Parrot Sanctuary is also located in Citrus Park, offering a safe place for exotic birds like macaws, cockatoos, sun conures, and African greys.

Property Ratings at Sole at Citrus Park
Disregard any reviews listed prior to October 2023. Currently owned by Cushman&Wakefield as Sole’ of Citrus Park. The former was Berkshires @CitrusPark. Today it’s a mere shadow of what it was compared to BerkshiresCommunitiesproperty. No concern for tenants maintenance requests. What used to be same day or 1 day arrival for tenant repair requests, is now 3 weeks or more. Communication is an abomination, and follows with the office result in excuses, lack of staff. About 2 years, and they’ve been through 2 Property Managers, the third Maintenance Supervisor who has been a ray of hope. The current owner, did not even have a viable, and qualified service unit to take over operation of the day to day tenant service requests. It has snowballed into something that is going to take much work to restore some semblance of what was here, under the former ownership group. Extensive damage to the roofing, from 2024 Milton, have not even been completed. Temporary patches have been put up, but nothing permanent yet, as of mid-September 2024. There are numerous safety issues that have not been addressed, as well. Location is about the only positive benefit for residents. Be forewarned, it’s not as advertised. To reiterate, disregard any reviews prior to October 2023.

We continue to update our online resident bulletin board, host monthly resident events, patio contests, raffles, gift basket giveaways, surprise treats, food trucks, and so much more—we’re basically a vibe with a zip code! Our manager is always available during office hours to chat, listen, and help. After hours? We’re on standby for emergencies, because safety and peace of mind are top priorities. Broken appliances, and a non functioning AC system (which is a nightmare, constant emergency maintenance calls during summer time). Rude rude manager (poor customer service) office employees ignored requests for assistance and acted with a dismissive arrogant attitude. Very poor maintenance for high rate rent. Think before you decide to live there(check the hallways and stairs before you decide to sign the contract)
This is the best placed we have lived at. What makes this a very special place is the people. Everybody is super friendly and helpful and they mean it.The location itself is very good. The whole apartment is very beautiful and scenic with 3 lakes. The floorplans are very good as well.
Actually found Berkshires on this website and applied based on the reviews. Almost a year later and I can say I am glad I decided to make this my home. Everything from the staff location maintenance and the units is amazing. Definitely recommend. 5 star all around.
The staff here is very wonderful. The apartment and environment is very welcoming. I absolutely love it here. Maintenance requests are addressed super fast. Its a great location, i feel very safe here. Very quiet too. I am on the middle floor and i don't hear any noises. A big plus for me when compared to my previous apartment. I have to move for work reasons and the staff has helped a lot with the transition process. I know if i do come back to the area for work, and i need an apartment to stay, this would be my very first choice.
When looking for apartments, I take into consideration the grounds where I live. The maintenance team is always on top of keeping up with the area. The office management team has been the best group to handle ANYTHING! I feel safe with the gate system and the neighbors all seem respectful. The kids play ball in the parking lot and field by the pond, so if you have young ones, there seems to be an age group for all to socialize. With the pond in the middle, it sets a tranquil feeling to the neighborhood. The pool is very clean and I enjoy the grills and gazebo area whenever I have a day off. If you want an apartment with a small gym, the one offered is more than accommodating and rarely occupied. I would rank this in the top 10 Tampa Apartments for the price!
I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review to see if I still felt the same way as when I first moved in. There were next to no problems moving in, which were fixed the very next day when I asked about it. Not only did they fix what I asked, but the Maintenence team is so good they also noticed my kitchen lights were "not as bright as usual" and replaced them all. Josh went above and beyond to help me get moved in as fast as I wanted. I would rank the office management the best I've ever had. The area feels safe, clean, and like a family neighborhood. The parking is amazing! Every now and then during holidays you may have to find parking a couple rows down, but it's not very often you lose your same spot. Minus the construction going on down the street(which seems to be moving along pretty quick), I think this is one of the best apartments in town. It's centrally located to almost everything, I could drive less than 3 miles to get ALL my shopping done. For the price, definitely a 10/10! You won't regret choosing Berkshires at Citrus Park.
Units are very expensive and parking can be a bit limited at night but it is quiet with wonderful views of the pond deck and fountain. Plus awesome location
Living at Berkshire at Citrus Park has been a truly wonderful experience!! I never thought I would be able to feel at home living in an apartment complex, but it has happened!! The leading staff, maintenance and neighbors are all very pleasant and helpful!! The complex is well kept and the community is pet friendly. My actual apartment is super nice and has a great floor plan!! It have a 2 bed rm & 2 bath with a laundry room. Overall super place to call home!!
This appartment is worth what it costs. Nothing is below average, and the view is comfortable when it comes to any condition.
