True to its name, Royal Lakes is home to several lakes and is proximate to Jacksonville’s white-sand beaches. The neighborhood is about 10 miles southeast of Downtown Jacksonville and seven miles away from the University of North Florida. Royal Lakes is family friendly with access to good schools and plenty of restaurants and stores. The Avenues, a large mall, is only four miles from the neighborhood. Bounded by Interstate 95 on the west, Route 152 in the north, and Route 115 on the east, its residents have easy access to adjacent areas. Excellent except for the neighbor across the street that shouts vicious slurs while on the phone outside or using their’ car’s phone, and the landscapers that hide behind our unit while running the weed whackers without even using them to stall for more pay.

Nice apartments, pretty lakes, maintenance is usually quick. The grass is usually a bit too long, it should either be cut shorter or more often. My dog got fleas from the grass and it’s almost impossible to get rid of them. A lot of people don’t clean up after their dogs either. There are Loop EV chargers, which are very convenient and not too expensive.

Bentley Green is overall a great community — it’s comfortable, well-located, and has a lot of potential. However, I’ve noticed a bit of a decrease in amenities and general care compared to before. While it’s still a good place to live, I do hope management puts more focus back into maintaining the level of quality and attention that originally made Bentley Green stand out.

Move in process was easy, and Olivia in the leasing office was very helpful. There were a couple things broken in the apartment, and maintenance still hasn’t shown and it is day 4. That is my only complaint

It’s been great, but we have had issues with our AC for over a week. Specifically, our it wasn’t working. We were not communicated with whatsoever about what needed to be done and when it would happen. We finally saw maintenance fixing it today and they were super sweet. The maintenance team is always amazing if anything is needed.

Amenities half work. The garage disposal keeps backing up into the dishwasher. I don’t even use the dishwasher and it retains water and I don’t even use it. My roof is leaking from something when it rains my kids roof in the bathroom leaks as well.

This is amazing apartment complex it's very clean and the leasing office has very nice people. Always willing to help and fix any problems. Love the indoor porch I have my art studio out there and don't have to worry about bugs.

Apartments are nice, if a little old. We’ve had problems with leaks from the upstairs apartment and they took a while to get fixed, but now that it’s fixed, it hasn’t been a problem. People don’t clean up after their dogs and there is quite a bit of litter around the ponds.

Just moved in.. Maintenance is taking awhile. My apt was not move in ready. My porch screen is broken amongst other things. Leasing agents are great though. Rent is fair. Neighborhood has kids playing in the courtyard. Neighbors are nice.

Move in was unpleasant. The lease signing process is all digital, and it is buggy on the some mobile browsers. The inventory and condition form is also on the lease for some reason, so they expect you to sign before documenting the condition of everything? The agents are nice. When the lease was signed, we saw the front door knob trim was falling off the handle, 87% humidity inside, smelled like dog, dirty carpet, dirty linoleum, dirty drains, dirty drawers and cabinets with one having its bottom barely attached, poorly patched up holes in the wall, broken cabinet knobs. My neighbors are decent, no noise or eccentricity. Some people near the strip mall ignore crosswalks and don't mind being ran over. Some of the pools are dirty. Fitness center is decent. Overall, for the price, I am very disappointed.

I really like my apartment. Except for the bugs, rodent droppings and whatever other infestations I have. I have never lived in an apartment community before & find it hard to get used to having so much noise and running above me at 10:00 P.M. The inconsideration of the way people drive is dangerous. Many drivers zoom though the complex going way over the speed limit. I am surprised no one has been hit, especially the children playing in the street and running around.

I’m only doing 3 because my mailbox had no door for the first month of my move in and there’s a bunch of mosquitoes around the front door so I’m dealing with a mosquito issue inside my apartment.

I felt welcomed. The staff was really extremely nice. It’s just a few things that needs to be fixed inside my apartment, but I’m I love it. The outside water is so beautiful something I can go sit down and meditate that I just love the atmosphere the young ladies who was three of them. Miss Barbara was one of them. She was extremely nice. I can’t remember the other lady name when I was outside. She was really really nice and we.

I just moved in about a week ago and I love it. All of the people in the leasing office are so wonderful and the apartments are cozy and just the right sizes. The neighborhood is pretty quiet too!

I’ve had an overall good experience but have had more issues in the past year. One is the huge increase in the water bill. From July 2024 to November 2024 it jumped 57% and has stayed high every month thereafter. I’ve called the leasing office a few times no one seems to know why. The water has been cut off 3 times since October to fix leaks but that hasn’t fixed the high bill. JEA rates have not increased so that’s not the issue.

There are numerous unhoused people in the area. I took my dog out for a nighttime bathroom break and there was a man just sitting in the bushes. I no longer feel super safe here. I wish you would bring back the security patrol that was here when I first moved in.

I have lived in four different places since moving to Florida in 2017 from Pennsylvania, and Bentley Green is by far this nicest, quietest, cleanest, and is closest to all the things a guy could need, most within walking distance. I don't even mind the stray cats here and there. I do wish however they would let me pet them sometimes rather than just sitting on my car in the morning and judging me by how big my coffee cup is . Like, oh look at this guy, he's not even fully awake yet and he thinks he's going to just scoot over here and give me pets like I haven't been up since 4 am, cleaning myself and making sure I look good for everyone to catch a peek of my majestic coat and pampered paws. Anyway, I like it here.
