Hugging the Congaree River and stretching east, Columbia is a sprawling city with a history dating back to colonial times. Nicknamed the "Capital of Southern Hospitality," Columbia is a welcoming, warm city -- it is also a college town, home to the University of South Carolina. The university is located downtown, covering over 359 acres. The historic, top-ranking university dates back to 1801, but the oldest structure in Columbia is the Seibels House, built around 1796. It currently serves as a house museum.
While there's plenty for college students to do, Columbia provides a variety of activities -- whether you're a golfer, a shopper, or a foodie. Kid-friendly activities are everywhere, from the gorgeous parks to the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The downtown district provides a variety of shops and restaurants along brick-paved sidewalks, and the river and nearby lakes provide opportunities for boating and fishing.

Living at The Bennet at BullStreet Apartment Homes has been a wonderful experience overall. From the moment I moved in, I was impressed by the modern design, beautiful amenities, and unbeatable location. Being so close to downtown Columbia makes it convenient to enjoy dining, shopping, and entertainment, while still having the comfort of a quiet and stylish home environment. The management staff and maintenance team truly set this community apart. Every single person I’ve interacted with has been professional, responsive, and genuinely kind. Whether it’s handling routine requests, addressing questions, or simply greeting residents with a smile, they go above and beyond to make residents feel welcome and valued. Maintenance is also quick and efficient, which adds so much peace of mind. The amenities are also a highlight. All VERY well-kept common areas, beautiful community spaces, and thoughtful features that make daily living more enjoyable. It feels like living in a resort at times, and I appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining everything to such a high standard. If there’s one area that truly needs improvement, it’s the package delivery system. Unfortunately, the package room is often disorganized and it can be a real struggle to locate deliveries. I’ve even had three packages marked as delivered that I never actually received. For a community of this quality, I believe a better system, whether that’s secure lockers, improved shelving, or another organized solution would make a huge difference for residents. Despite this one drawback, I absolutely love living at The Bennet. The positive aspects FAR outweigh the one negative. I am grateful to call this community home. Though it is already a five star living experience, an improved package delivery system, it would truly elevate our living experience.

Have lived here for a while now. I enjoy absolutely nothing about this place. Constant construction, constant parking struggle, constant issues overall. The worst part is definitely the staff, and how incredibly rude they are. You’d think they’d treat paying tenants better. Just poor behavior honestly. Don’t waste your time on this place, it’s more of a headache than anything.

The Bennet is a wonderful place to live. It’s so nice being in an environment with such friendly, like minded, and goal driven people. I would recommend everyone I know to live here. I have loved Bennet so far! The amenities are beautiful and well kept from the pool to dog park and courtyards and other common area spaces. Staff is super fit left and maintenance orders are responded to quickly.
