Property Ratings at Bay Crossing
Bay Crossing is a wonderful, safe gated community to live in. I am a single female in my 30s and lived here from Dec 2021 until March of 2024. It is definitely an older property, but it is nice & in the very best location! You can quickly & safely walk to Publix/Publix Liquors, Target, several great restaurants & bars close by, South Tampa YMCA AND it's about a mile from the beautiful Bayshore Blvd, the longest continuous sidewalk in the world right alongside the bay! I would walk daily to Bayshore right from my apartment which was amazing! It's also only 15 minutes to Tampa Int'l Airport. The pool at this community is very tranquil surrounded by a cute lake with fountains, ducks and turtles. The property staff once it was taken over by Haven Residential is top notch! Loren Rivera and his team (Annamaria & Ariel) as well as the maintenance staff are so helpful. Any time I had any kind of maintenance opportunity, they immediately worked to resolve it. They truly care about ensuring your home is as comfortable as possible for you. Loren has been working hard to make a plethora of improvements to the property. Since living there the whole community was repainted, the plants were redone, the numbering on the doors was updated, among many other upgrades. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone moving to Tampa!

I have lived here for a little over 2 years. This is a great place to live for many reasons. 1. the grounds are very well maintained. 2. The location is great with out much traffic. 3. Management staff are very friendly and attentive. If, and the is a big if, you have an issue they are extremely quick to respond and generally do care. 4. This is the same with the maintenance staff. They are amazingly fast, and fix the issue the first time. I had an issue with my AC and it was fixed within 2 hours of notifying the office. In the two years I have lived here, I have only had 2 issues and they were both fixed the same day!
My daughter & I have been living in Avesta Bay Crossing apartments for over a year now. I’ve never had any issues at all. For example, the lightbulb in the kitchen went out yesterday, so I put in a maintenance request & it was fixed not even 2 hours later. The location is great! You can walk to Publix and Target and there is plenty of parking anywhere in the complex (Which has been an issue at other condos/apartments we’ve lived in in south tampa). The school district is Ballast Point for Elementary & my daughter loves it there! We utilized the onsite amenities all of the time (pool & gym). Justin, Dayma & Kathy (the office staff) have always been very polite & helpful. For example, my mother visited me recently and accidentally took my mailbox key back (out of state with her) so she had to mail it back, and the office staff kindly let me into my mailbox every day until it arrived. Overall great place to live for us!

Do not live here. I have been in my apartment a little over 2 months and have experienced a large water leak in the kitchen and in my bathroom. Also had electrical issues so nbd if your apartment burns I guess. Dayma in the office will tell you that “these things happen” and maintenance responded in a “timely manner” so you shouldn’t dare complain. I called the emergency number 3 times and was disconnected because the robot doesn’t understand “water leak”. Oh and when maintenance painted over the water damage in the kitchen they splattered paint everywhere, including my coach bag. Don’t expect to be reimbursed for their negligence! They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation and the regional person was just as helpful. There’s plenty of other complexes in the area and I doubt they could treat you worse than this. I also love the constantly overflowing dumpster and the additional dumpster that is placed on a corner. I’ve had close calls with head on collisions because you can’t see another car coming and two cars cannot fit around the curve at the same time. I was drawn to this property because of the grounds and the location but that certainly doesn’t make up for the issues I have experienced. Avesta Bay Crossing will take advantage of you and this company does not deserve your money.

Noise here is ridiculous!! The management doesn't care. They just tell you should of gotten an upstairs apartment Nobody is friendly. South Tampa snobs . overpriced, small, and utilities are VERY HIGH
The front office will look you in the face and lie making you feel like youre a light sleeper. That's s lie. Everyone complains. Very overpriced community. Its lipstick on a pig. Get over yourself. south Tampa stigma of you should pay alot. Moving out ASAP
The place is a dump. Run. Rotten sounding apartments, loud neighbors. None of my neighbors are happy with their apartment. Were all trying to get out of here. Also, Avesta charges 2 months rent to get out . What a joke.
You should move here if you like to know if the person upstairs is in the kitchen, closet, bathroom, or putting away clothes. The football practice upstairs drive me nuts. My neighbor pounds the ceiling without a care in the world. There is no point complaining to the leasing office, because it will just get even LOUDER! Looking to move out early because I cant stand it!!
the staff is terrible. and they charge you more than all of the prices it says up here. maintance people also have ruin multiple things and never are responsible. apartments are dirty and they don't provide any additional cleaning
The neighbors arent so nice. The washer and dryer dont wash well nor dry well
Like every apartment that I've rented, there are of course a few things that I could dig up to complain about but truthfully I'm mostly happy here. I have a large apartment with all the amenities I didn't want to sacrificed at a moderate rate. Most of the staff lived on site so service is very fast when there is a problem, and when it boils down to the give and take about renting, that's the most important thing. I plan to renew my lease.
