Located just across Lady Bird Lake from Downtown Austin, Zilker is one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods. Zilker’s tranquil residential streets are complemented by walkable access to an array of shops and eateries clustered along South Lamar Boulevard and Barton Springs Road. However, Zilker is perhaps most famously regarded for its easy access to some of Austin’s best outdoor recreation at Barton Springs, Barton Creek Greenbelt, and Zilker Park.
The neighborhood was actually named after nearby Zilker Park, where exciting events like South by Southwest, Austin City Limits, and the Holiday Trail of Lights take place. Slow to make repairs. Many units are just Airbnbs. Dirty and overpriced. Dog droppings everywhere, Parking bad. Apartments smell like smoke. Trees are oversized and will fall on your vehicle .
Bad management. I didnt even have a door that closed. Really bad bug problem. Dirty. Weird people who don't work or live there hanging around, I got assulted by a girl that didn't live there but was always there. They just care about money, these apartments are not worth it even for the location. I can't believe how much they are charging now
