Thinking a lot about West Bend? How about an apartment in Downtown West Bend? The riverfront district, along the Milwaukee River, is a great location to be in since it’s lined with gourmet restaurants, cool boutiques, breweries, and affordable rentals. When it comes to food, you’ll find everything from pizza to wraps to burgers and so much more.
The walkability of Downtown West Bend is much to be appreciated, as is the Saturday farmers market. The market contains more than 80 vendors, selling a variety of goods like produce, homemade bread, and spiced jam. After a delicious meal on Main Street, stroll on over to Old Settlers Park for an evening concert. Maybe art is more your cup of tea? The Museum of Wisconsin Art boasts a unique collection of historic and modern pieces native to the state.
For outdoor fun, locals like to explore the area’s expansive parks. Regner Park’s pond is a great place to cool off from the summer heat – and in winter it turns into an ice-skating rink.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Barton Avenue Estates
This place is wonderful because it's very quiet and peaceful. I'm not going to lie, things happen like everywhere else. People get sick and ambulances or police come, but they're not serious. These apartments are always very well cared for and attended to by the owners and managers. The laundry rooms are cleaned once a week and the hallways are deep cleaned once a month. The basements are super clean, and the people are very friendly. My family and I enjoy and love living here because, contrary to what people who have been evicted for bad behavior say, we see and experience the complete opposite. The owners are wonderful people who are very attentive to the apartments and the needs of the tenants. It's a multi-cultural environment where you don't feel racism toward any nationality and everyone is respectful. I highly recommend Barton States Apartments!
A great place to live peacefully with friendly neighbors. I've been living here for four years and I highly recommend it.
If you don't mind being kicked out with no real explanation after 14 years of never being late with the rent and never getting a complaint from anyone, then by all means rent from these people. If you don't mind not being able to get ahold of a manager when you actually HAVE a problem no matter how many messages you leave, then by all means rent from these people. If you don't mind your visitors getting yelled at by owners for dropping you and your groceries off at the front door, then by all means rent from these people. If you enjoy a growing police presence in your area due to drug overdoses and suicides, by all means rent from these people. If you're on Social Security and you don't mind rent increases every year coincidentally equal to the amount of your yearly increase, by all means rent from these people. If you don't mind your chicken wire secured basement storage facility being broken into, the breach never being fixed, and no improvements being made, by all means rent from these people. And finally, if you enjoy persistent sinus issues due to the presence of mold which was paneled over and NOT removed, by all means rent from these people.
So many things to list, cops constantly at the complex, drug over doses, drunken fights in the parking lot, little to no maintenance INSIDE apartments, lived here 14 years, they never fixed anything on our MOVE IN inspection, and the last straw was when the upstairs neighbors vomited all over our deck/patio window, we told the owner and he said "if you don't like it move". 2 days later we received a 28 day notice to vacate the property. 14 years paying rent on time and no complaints, while we ignored all the illegal and/or sub-standard maintenance practices. If none of that bothers you, and you are OK with hearing every word your neighbors say and vice versa, at least try to get an upstairs as the flooring in the upstairs is soo poor that when some one above even tip toes across the floor at night, it creaks and cracks so loud you can feel it through the bed matress, sometimes even knocking pictures off the wall.
Friendly people. The management is excellent. Property well kept up. Clean buildings overall. I would recommend Barton Ave Estates all day.
