Bart Villa Apartments

I’ve lived in Bart Villa for two years, and I think the complex is pretty much exactly as advertised. Pros: cheap rent, large units, and close to campus. Cons: Older units. It works for me, but it isn’t for everyone.

I moved into Bart Villa 6 months ago and so far its been really great! I was nervous about moving to Bloomington with my dogs, but the complex is so pet friendly. The courtyard makes me feel really comfortable at night. I would recommend Bart Villa to anyone!

If you're an IU graduate student, staff member, or honestly anything involving the university, I highly recommend Bart Villa. The location is so convenient, the cost is affordable, the points of contact are all so nice (shout out Heidi and Kelsey and Nate and everyone else!). Super pet friendly. Of the like 10 ish apartments I've lived in across the country, this has been the best experience!

Bart Villa has been a great first home for my wife and I this past year. Within walking distance of the IU Bloomington campus and a park across the street, we are always staying active with walking. The community and management are very friendly, and the property is well taken care of with a variety flowers and bushes. I am always seeing neighbors use the community courtyard for family cookouts or just enjoying the birds chirping on a Saturday morning. Two things to be aware of: (i) the community laundry is somewhat expensive (~$2.50 per load per machine) and not many machines for the whole community, and (ii) moving large items in and out of the unit can be cumbersome as most of the parking is separated from the units and there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. Overall, we have been thoroughly pleased with living at Bart Villa and would recommend it as a great value place to live.

I've been a tenant at Bart Villa for two years now and Deer Park Management for three. I could not recommend this management group enough. I email them frequently and they always respond, always address the problem (in various capacities), and are always kind. Whether it be new flooring, pest control, or any other issue I have had, they always come through, and it makes my life so much simpler. Truly, it's worth any cost, and these units don't cost that much. 11/10, highly recommend!

Bart villa is cheap comparing with other apartments around. There are washing and dryer machines. it is very close to many groceries like fresh Thyme,Kroger and aldi, it is close to target and college mall. you can buy whatever you want and need. across the street is binford and Roger elementary school. you can walk to the IU Campus in ten minutes. and three-minute walk to bus stop. I find it very convenient and quiet here. you can not rent an apartment in such a low price with such spacious space elsewhere.

I am a grad student and stumbled upon Bart Villa quite by accident. I'm glad to have done so. It is a small, intimate apartment complex on the east side, tucked away between IU campus and the College Mall area. It has a lovely well-maintained courtyard that invites birds and butterflies almost year-round. People here are quite friendly and are either working professionals or fellow grad students, so it tends to be nice and quiet. It is an older complex (you may need power adapters for the outlets), but the property is well-maintained, pet friendly, and overall supportive. You would also be ideally situated to walk to campus if you like or to make a quick pop over to the mall area for groceries, gas, and other essentials or entertainment. The neighborhood is quite safe with a school, churches, and residences surrounding. Bart Villa is definitely worth consideration.

The apartment is close to the college mall, grocery store and IU school of music. Perfect location for IU students

The location is great if you don't have a vehicle. You can easily walk the mall and grocery stores around. Also, campus isn't too far and the rent is the lowest I've paid in Bloomington out of the three other apartments I've lived in.

I am Yiyun Ma, a former resident in this apartment. It is near to College Mall, Binford Elementary School and IU. So it is convenient for your family's school and life. It is unnecessary for you to pay the heating fee in the winter, but the room is very warm in winter. The staff in the leasing office are all very nice. Whenever you are in trouble, they are avaliable
