Located approximately 40 miles north of Downtown Phoenix, North Gateway is a sprawling community made up of open desert, nature preserves, and suburban streets. North Gateway is home to a portion of the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, an open desert park with miles of hiking and biking trails that allow visitors to explore the green plains of cacti. I couldn’t be happier with this apartment! The staff was so helpful, Taylor and Heather were always kind and very helpful, they made the process of moving so easy for us! The apartment itself was immaculate, as a maintenance man myself I have an eye for detail and my hat is off to the Steve and Dave, I don’t have any complaints about our place, everything was just as perfect as you could imagine!
The whole staff has made our move so easy and smooth! Heather and Taylor in the office have been so helpful in answering all our questions and so responsive. When we went into our new apartment it was clean and looked gorgeous, they have truly made us feel at home and welcomed!
We love it here! Its been just over 2 years now and couldn't be happier!

Love management & maintenance crew always a great job
Our apartment is very nice. The apartment comunity is beautiful and the staff always accomodating & maintenance speedy.
Let's start by the property itself. There isn't much that can compete in the area, but still it is an excellent location for someone wanting to be in the Cave Creek, Carefree (North Scottsdale, North Phoenix area). The west side is state trust land great for walking dogs, some "desert" walk or biking and even some horseback riding. There are a couple of parks nearby (with grassy areas, tennis courts, basketball, playgrounds...), a library within walking distance and a soccer field with running track within walking distance. Also within walking distance are a few restaurants, shops and 2 full size supermarkets. The property grounds themselves are weak kept and maintained. The pool area is nice and often the site of gatherings and BBQ meals. There is a dog park as well as a small fitness room, an office/TV room with free wifi, and the club house/office is open 6-days a week should one need assistance with anything. The apartments are nice and most have been renovated/updated in the last 2 years. 2-story buildings keep the property more intimate than some of the taller apartment buildings built more recently. From a management perspective, for the most part, it's been great. There's been some changes in management the last few years but it's been pretty smooth overall. Rents have increased steadily the past few years but I supposed they are inline with similar properties. To increase rents during the recession was a bit much but I suppose "they" all did that. You can also rent detached single car garages fro vehicles or affordable storage (not cooled!). TV and internet options are limited but adequate (?): Century link up to 12mbps internet (but expensive), DirecTV only, or an off-air TV antenna will work. Conclusion: If you want to live in this part of town, I highly recommend you take a look at Azure Creek. It's the best around here in my opinion, closer to nature yet not too far from the 101 or 51 expressways to get you anywhere around town fairly quickly. A bit cooler than central Phoenix too!
