Property Ratings at Aventura Harbor Apartments
I tried calling here multiple times to rent a unit. Took 2 weeks for someone to get back to me. When they finally did everyone I talked to was very rude. I asked simple questions like, " what color will the cabinets be". And they said I would need to wait until I moved in to find out. Then they hung up on me. Get a better staff!!
This is the absolute worst place to live. All the buildings are filled with mold and roaches. The staff literally do not know how to treat the mold. I’ve had mold a mold infection over 3 years. I thought getting a new manager would have made it better however it has gotten worst. They do not care about the tenants here after they’ve signed their lease. The barbecue grills have been broken since the shooting happened a year ago (search Aventura harbor apartments shootings to watch on the news in which they kept from the residents). Btw, the innocent resident that got shot, died by the barbecue area. I would not wish this place to live on my worst enemy. STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!!
They do not care about you! They lie to you from the second you get here to get you in! It is beautiful on the outside but horrible units. Roach infestation and horrible pest control. The management is terrible. There are helpful but once you live here, they are rude and not helpful. There’s been multiple shootings here. The management doesn’t care!
We live here currently, and since we moved here it’s been a disaster. Roach infestation, terrible management, there’s been shootings outside our apartment, the management doesn’t care! They do not care about you! They lie to you from the second you get here to get you in! And now we’re looking for somewhere new because they have the audacity to bump the rent up this disgusting place, it’s so infested you’ll literally lose sleep over it, if you want to lose joy and be unhappy be my guest. This is the worst place I’ve even been in in my life and I’ve lived in smaller places in the hood. I will never recommend. Please do not listen to the lies, the whole building needs to come down to get rid of these roaches. And that’s not going to happen any time soon. So these roaches are not leaving. There are German roaches small roaches big roaches, all kinds. It’s a nightmare.
Honestly, there is any amenity you can think of, it's like living in a resort. I feel like I am always on vacation! It's been great so far, and staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The manager does her best to accommodate everyone's needs, as I noticed so far. I'm really happy for the price.
Please stay away from this place , the rent is to high to deal with roaches and bugs in your apartment. I moved in here in May and have had nothing but problems and issues . Have got plenty of other complaints about this place but I will save those for a different day .
pros: - you will loose weight (roaches will get in all your food) - great quality & convenient drugs (google 'transitions recovery miami'). aventura harbor leases out over 20 units as 'half way' homes permanently for the past 18 years. - you can tell your friends you live in 'aventura' and they will be impressed cons: - mold is a major issue - vomit and trash in hallways always - people will steal your laundry - high crime and drug area - cannot do online shopping, no deliveries to your door, they will get stolen list could go on. the place isn't for everybody i'll leave it at that
I was very excited when I first moved because of the amenities and just the over all look of the place especially considering the amount of money I was paying. I am so grateful to have only signed a 6 month lease because maintenance and upkeep wise this place is absolutely horrible. In the six months that I stayed we had cops/swat in and around the property at least 3 times that I am aware of. I saw people smoking weed in the corners when at the pool. Garbage in the halls and staircases. The carpet in the main halls are old and dirty. only 2 out of the 3 washer and dryers are usually working. by the way they make use their monetary system (chip card) to use the washers and dryers on the property to only tell you don't receive your money back if you don't use all the money on the chip card the laundry room uses. The A/C unit broke 3 times and ultimately lead to me having to pay a $245 electric bill which they would not help pay since it was due to them neglecting the problem. Oh and please ask about the break down to your final move out invoice. The give you credit for the time not lived in the property even though you pay the entire month to only keep the money and label it under miscellaneous charges on the invoice. I DO NOT recommend this place. The amount of money you pay here is not worth what they have to offer.
I highly recommend you stay away. You can hear your neighbor at 3:00 a.m. blasting his stereo so loud that your bedroom walls vibrate. Security does nothing and when you call the police they tell you he has a right to listen to his music. You complain to management they do nothing, the person across the hall from you is smoking so much marijuana that you get stoned when walking down the hall and management tells you to call the police if you feel something illegal is going on. BTW in the lease it states that marijuana is not to be smoked and all illegal drugs are not permitted. They have a building that is a halfway house (this is not disclosed when you are signing your lease so be sure to ask if you are brave enough to move here) and when you walk past that building all you smell is them smoking and its not only marijuana. I am not a prude. I voted to legalize medical marijuana and don’t have a problem with those choose to use marijuana, however, I don’t want to be subject to the smell because it makes me physical ill. You can always eat brownies or fruit embellished with it. Maintenance sucks, but the maintenance people are all very nice and do try their best. Unfortunately, maintenance is very short staffed like ½ the people needed to cover a complex this size.
This is the WORST apartment complex ever. If there was an option to give 0 stars, I would definitely do so. Management including maintenance was very rude and unprofessional. Every time I submitted a work order, it would take 3 weeks to get it done, & I would have to call them multiple times to remind them. Every time I called, they would have an attitude as if it wasn't their job to fix anything in my apartment. These problems include mold, water plumbing, and air conditioning. Our lease was 8 months but we got of our lease in 6 months, because we reported them to the BBB. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
The hallways keep don urinate in the floor. Maintence department is horrible. The Office staff sucks, never friendly. You Constantly Smell Weed thru the building
You can always hear what's going on in the hallways because the doors are too thin. The office staff is incredibly slow.
The neighborhood is great really I can't complain and on top of that they accept dogs. The rent is too much and when it come to maintenance they slow but it happens in all major apartment complex
I've been here for about five months and I don't like it.
The place is not that nice. The people there are not of class. The AC broke a few times and they close the pool and gym quite early.

Aventura Harbor Apartments is a poorly ran roach infested apartment complex .It has gone through several different management companies.. Although it has been cosmetically fixed up to appear otherwise for first impressions the place is a complete dump. Our family had been battling roaches that stemmed from a nest inside then garbage dumpster area located inside all of the buildings creating an unsanitary environment for children. After continuous complaints we realized the primary motivation is your rent, We found out they have no regard for their tenants in the long run. Our family moved out!!!
