Situated about 35 outside of Austin, Bastrop features an inviting and historic Main Street and a large number of outdoor and indoor attractions within its borders. The city itself is a popular stop for many on their drive to Austin, but Bastrop has so much character that it should be a destination city in itself. You’ll find buzzing local restaurants and convenient shopping centers on either side of the Colorado River. Fisherman’s Park and Ferry Park provide spectacular views of the water and plenty of space to enjoy the Texas weather.
Bastrop has grown rapidly in recent years, thanks to a large push by the community to liven up the Main St. district. There’s been a large number of Hollywood hits filmed in and around Bastrop, no doubt because of its Texas charm. Austin may be close, but you might not need to venture far from your apartment in this up-and-coming town.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice to move to Avendale! Everyone is friendly, and quick to respond. Nice property.
It’s a beautiful quiet area with a price that can’t be beat anywhere else in Bastrop. Pools and fitness centers are always clean! Plus this staff actually cares and throws events for the community here. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else
We love living at Avendale at The Colony. All staff members are Awesome! This is the BEST PLACE to be in Bastrop, Texas. The skies are incredible and the people are wonderful.
Avendale has been my home for almost 3 years and it has been and continues to be a wonderful experience. The location is perfect - close to shopping/restaurants, yet still quiet and peaceful. The management team (front office and maintenance) is responsive, friendly, and always quick to make sure my needs are met. All my neighbors are respectful and the community feels safe and welcoming. I am truly happy to call Avendale home and would highly recommend to anyone looking for peaceful living!
My wife and I have been here since March and we are pleased to say that planting and building our family at the Avendale was one of the best decision we could've made!
Everyone in the front office is so nice & helpful. I have never had an issue maintenance wasn’t there for so fast! Love calling Avendale Home!

We’ve been living here for 2 years and we absolutely love it here! We love the environment, the amenities, the area, and most importantly the staff! Everyone here is helpful, caring, and understanding. Brittany is Amazing! She’s always on top of everything, she’s super helpful and always there when you need! The maintenance team is amazing as well and always here to help! We are so happy here and everyone has made it such a wonderful place to live in.

Unique, private residence-like apartments with a cul-de-sac feel and resort-style amenities. Both Stephanie and Brittany went above-and-beyond to make the process seamless and supportive. Brittany quickly responded to each query (no matter how minor!) and had everything pulled-together on move-in day. Highly recommend Avendale at the Colony!!!

Everyone here is just absolutely amazing! When i didn’t turn on my AC, maintenance came to check on me and make sure I am alright and the ac works, everyone in the office is amazing, the property is clean, well kept, communication is great and the people who live here awesome. It feels like home and I can’t imagine myself ever wanting to move. I have lived in many places and Avendale is the best in every way. You will feel so welcome here
