Neighbors below continue to leave dogs out and they defecate all over the deck. With the heat the smell is tough. Some more noise than when I first moved in as well.

The community is a nice convenient place to live. Close to everything. Safe with great schools. Plenty of places to shop and eat close by with Pelham being so close and woodruff road being one exit down.

Good location close to shops, there is a kindergarten nearby. Not noisy. Maintenance is done in a timely manner. Good gym and all-round swimming pool. Cons: no children's play area, tennis courts are rarely cleaned.

Avana has been home to us for a few months now and everything has been so great. Maintenance is super quick and friendly. Thankfully our unit rarely require much of maintenance. Our neighbors are super nice and we tend to meet up with them weekly for a few rounds of pickleball. Love the fact that the area is gated and it usually stays closed. The area is pretty well kept so no complaints there. Overall, we have found our home for awhile.

Super cool property. A lot of good people and nice workers, I like the trail and all of the landscaping the most. Really makes you feel like you’re worlds away from other places with no breathing room or scenery to enjoy. Absolutely recommend moving in here, lived here for four years now.

Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. The location is unbeatable—close to everything you need (restaurants, shops, fast food), but somehow still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It’s like having your own little bubble of calm in the middle of the city. The community itself is super quiet and laid-back, which I love. Everyone I’ve met here has been friendly, respectful, and just easy to get along with. It's the kind of place where neighbors say hi but also totally respect your space. The staff are not only super helpful, but they’re also just genuinely kind and cool people. It really makes a difference when the folks running the place care as much as they clearly do. Living here has been such a good experience—relaxed, convenient, and totally stress-free. Highly recommend!

There’s rarely any parking spots available. All of the trees surrounding the community blocks a lot of natural light from entering the apartment. The floors are squeaky…I usually wake up every morning from hearing the people above me walking around.

Not a bad experience so far. I’ve been living here for about 3 weeks and I am quite pleased. The area is rather quiet and peaceful as previously mentioned to me by the leasing office and even the residents. Speaking of residents, all are very nice and welcoming while not being over extensive in anyway so far. A couple of defective problems in the specific unit I moved into, but nothing that can’t be solved with a simple maintenance request.

I enjoy living here, but sometimes maintenance requests can be completed the same day and then on the other hand they take months to complete

Living in this location has been an excellent experience. The area is well-connected with easy access to public stores, major roads, and essential services like supermarkets, hospitals, and schools. It’s a safe and clean neighborhood with a friendly community, which adds to the overall comfort and peace of mind. So far very happy here. Lovely community with a wonderful area for walking alone or with pers ot children. Have never seen anything like it attached to a community in which I lived. Office staff extremely professional, friendly and helpful.

I really like it here. The porches are very large compared to other apartments . I especially love the attached 2 car garage. Location is great also!

Overall happy, landscape crews are horrible. Over mulch instead of remove moldy mulch they just add more ontop and make all the sidewalks a mess. Breezeways could be in better condition lights, bugs, paint. Gates never work for a gated community. Office workers never answers phone calls or keep promises made to residents even after multiple conversations. Maintenance is underskilled and it’s easier for me to just do repairs instead of contact them

Fantastic location that is close to everything you need and more! The community remains to stand out due to all of the landscaping and the nature trail on-site with Brushy Creek beside it. Wonderful benefits/perks with local partnerships made by Avana but also so many huge partnerships with big brands with discounts and incentives offered to any Greystar resident. My family and I will be staying until I choose to buy a house.

The apartment's location is absolutely perfect - right in the heart of everything, with easy access to everything fantastic restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife scene, yet tucked away on a quiet street for a peaceful atmosphere.".
The staff are very helpful. The maintenance staff are great. I just wish there were more handicap parking spaces and ramped curbs. The apartment is large and really nice.

I just moved here from Michigan and absolutely love living here. The complex is very nice and offers all of the amenities that I was looking for. The people have been so friendly and helpful. plus the weather has been wonderful....no snow so far! I do not have any regrets at all!!!

I have nothing nice to say other than the building and cost isn't bad. But otherwise stay away. Maintenance is good. Gals in the office. Not so much.

All of the staff have been warm, friendly and helpful. The maintenance crews have been quick to respond and fixed the few problems. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Even after the hurricane, the debris was removed quickly.

The playground as displayed on the website looks nothing like the playground on site. It’s falling apart and my child can’t even enjoy it. The floors are so creaky I hear almost every step my neighbor upstairs takes. This was a disappointing move in unfortunately. Hopefully new tenants in the future will have a better experience.

Very nice neighborhood and very quiet. Good amenities . Also, nice forest atmosphere and a trail as well. Staff is very friendly. Maintenance still has some issues at times

Maintenance here is terrible . I have put in multiple requests to only have nothing done. As well as my friend in another building … who cannot get maintenance or staff to help with ongoing issues within their apartment as well. Property not kept up either . Run down swing sets … tennis courts , etc

1. Move in day. Toilet in 2nd bathroom needed a ring replaced. Maintenance apparently knew about it but no one told us not to use it. It took a month or more and several requests to get the toilet replaced as they couldn’t get the right sized part to repair. So for 1st month we couldn’t use one of the toilets. Preventable had they told us. 2. Overflowed air conditioning drains. Apparently 4 air conditioners drain into a locked closet in our apartment (only maintenance has keys). Maintenance told us that the drains get clogged periodically with dust and debris and need to be cleaned out. It took 2 minutes or less for him to shop vac it out. Unfortunately, because they didn’t do this maintenance preventatively we had a flood that required a restoration service to bring in fans to dry it out. Preventable with routine maintenance. 3. Water runoff from heavy rains pools in front of our apartment and overflows onto our patio and into the apartment. Preventable with barriers, redirecting gutter flow, and grading of property to allow runoff away from the building. This flooding was the worst yet and required the restoration company to extract water, remove baseboard, and install fans and dehumidifiers. There is, not surprisingly, mold behind the baseboards. We had heavy rains again the next day and we’re watching the rain water flowing onto our patio and toward our door. We called the emergency maintenance line asking for help to redirect the water and were told there was nothing they could do. So I guess we just have to watch the water flow into our apartment every time we get heavy rain? My husband and I went outside and did what we could to divert the water and were scooping it off the patio to prevent more interior flooding. Where was the help from the property? Not even a phone call to discuss it with us. Absolutely unacceptable. They are helpful after a disaster but unwilling to do anything preventative or to assist in the moment. It seems to be the more expensive, frustrating, and unhealthy approach, but I’m not management. Nice staff if you can get someone to talk to you. It doesn’t mean they will do anything to help you but they will be pleasant. Maintenance is responsive for damage but repairs can take longer than necessary. Quiet, lovely neighborhood. Nice neighbors. Not proactive. Mold, flooding and multiple preventable water issues.

Great place to live, except the maintenance department. It takes forever to get anything done. Me and my wife have had an easy experience. I wish they would check on the gym though, the 25 LBS weights are missing, a TV has been unplugged for almost a year now, and it’s getting kinda gross in spots.

I’ve found Avana Thornblade to be the hidden gem in this area. The apartments are spacious and feel private. The office staff goes above and beyond to make the community great. They are always so pleasant and helpful. The same goes for the maintenance team. They are quick to respond and really care about helping you. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and feels safe.

Had many troubles with the apartment. There was white paint over spray and drops on the stove and all over the mirrors, one of the closet door fell off its hinges (and when fixed, maintenance didnt even screw back in all of the hinges), when we moved in, it was taking 2 cycles to dry clothes and we noticed thw the lint trap was completely full from the tenants before, the draw in our fridge was broken, and the there was paint peeling in the master bathroom shower which was causing the tub to clog. On the otherhand, we love the balcony, pricing, how big the apartment is, management is very friendly, and you cant really hear uostaurs neighbors unless they are actually stomping. The complex is in a great area and only about a 12 drive into downtown.
