Lovely, cozy, feels like home. Been here for 3 years plan on many more. Prices do need to come down for renewing families or give more incentives to continue to renew but over all very pleased.
Maintenance responds quickly and, but more than that—they’re thoughtful, friendly, and always respectful of your space. It feels good knowing the people taking care of our homes truly care about the people living in them. They’re present, approachable, and always willing to help.
Enjoyed living here and being able to use all of the amenities offered to everyone. Looking forward to it warming up again to be able to use everything outside
Avana is a hidden gem. A great community to call home with amazing staff and maintenance team to match. I would highly recommend living here to anyone.

I lived here for 5 years and they really try hard to make their residents as happy as possible. Sometimes they fail, but mostly they succeed. There are always going to be a few flaws no matter where you live. Avana has chosen a great maintenance staff, which was one of their flaws, but with the new staff, they are on top of the maintenance now. Great job!

Overall, it’s a welcoming community that has a great and personable staff who do everything they can to help. The nature trail is one of my favorite features - with Brushy Creek running alongside, it’s a beautiful private view and an easily accessible peaceful view right outside your door!
Parking has gotten worse lately, and pest control has gotten less thorough. I will be renewing for another 15 months, however, due to lack of other options & price.

Avana Thornblade is always having leaks. They just put ban aids on the problems. Also the appliances are old in many of the “down graded apartments “ I have a serious bug problem. Most of the time pest control doesn’t come after requesting them. I am very patient, but things are out of control.

Taking more than 3 months to resolve an air conditioning issue is completely unacceptable. I have not been able to live in my apartment and have not even completed the move in process because of this issue. I have congestive heart failure and have been unable to inhabit the apartment without central AC. Regardless, I have paid nearly $1700 a month in rent since April 21st. I have spent less than 14 nights in the apartment during that time because of the inability of Avana staff to get the issue resolved and telling me the delay was out of their control because a hvac contractor could not get to it sooner. I have been a home owner for the past 25 years. Never did I wait longer than 3-4 days for air conditioning repairs to be made, even when units had to be replaced. I moved to an apartment so that maintenance issues were taken care of with less stress. This has been anything but the case at Avana. I have dealt with paying full rent on an apartment that I could not live in and the emotional stress of not knowing where I was living and when the nightmare would end. I have been told there would be no concession on the rent I have paid for the past 4 months and am currently seeking legal council on terminating my lease without penalty due to this issue. I loved my apartment and the Avana community when I decided to move in. It has been nothing but emotionally and financially draining since day 1. I no longer have confidence in property management or in future issues being taken care of. A three month waiting period is unacceptable for ANY maintenance issue.

Nice looking apartments with lots of parking and nice pool. Poor telephone answering and slow for repairing things and poorly taken care of outside (needs pressure washing desperately) but nice convenient location.

I have been living at Avana at thornblade for a few days now and I have enjoyed it. I have no complaints. I had a minor problem once I got my washer and dryer and they fixed that problem very promptly. Also it is very quiet. Neighbors are pretty nice as well . Neighbors below continue to leave dogs out and they defecate all over the deck. With the heat the smell is tough. Some more noise than when I first moved in as well.

The community is a nice convenient place to live. Close to everything. Safe with great schools. Plenty of places to shop and eat close by with Pelham being so close and woodruff road being one exit down.

Good location close to shops, there is a kindergarten nearby. Not noisy. Maintenance is done in a timely manner. Good gym and all-round swimming pool. Cons: no children's play area, tennis courts are rarely cleaned.

Avana has been home to us for a few months now and everything has been so great. Maintenance is super quick and friendly. Thankfully our unit rarely require much of maintenance. Our neighbors are super nice and we tend to meet up with them weekly for a few rounds of pickleball. Love the fact that the area is gated and it usually stays closed. The area is pretty well kept so no complaints there. Overall, we have found our home for awhile.

Super cool property. A lot of good people and nice workers, I like the trail and all of the landscaping the most. Really makes you feel like you’re worlds away from other places with no breathing room or scenery to enjoy. Absolutely recommend moving in here, lived here for four years now.

Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. The location is unbeatable—close to everything you need (restaurants, shops, fast food), but somehow still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It’s like having your own little bubble of calm in the middle of the city. The community itself is super quiet and laid-back, which I love. Everyone I’ve met here has been friendly, respectful, and just easy to get along with. It's the kind of place where neighbors say hi but also totally respect your space. The staff are not only super helpful, but they’re also just genuinely kind and cool people. It really makes a difference when the folks running the place care as much as they clearly do. Living here has been such a good experience—relaxed, convenient, and totally stress-free. Highly recommend!

There’s rarely any parking spots available. All of the trees surrounding the community blocks a lot of natural light from entering the apartment. The floors are squeaky…I usually wake up every morning from hearing the people above me walking around.

Not a bad experience so far. I’ve been living here for about 3 weeks and I am quite pleased. The area is rather quiet and peaceful as previously mentioned to me by the leasing office and even the residents. Speaking of residents, all are very nice and welcoming while not being over extensive in anyway so far. A couple of defective problems in the specific unit I moved into, but nothing that can’t be solved with a simple maintenance request.

I enjoy living here, but sometimes maintenance requests can be completed the same day and then on the other hand they take months to complete

It’s a safe and clean neighborhood with a friendly community, which adds to the overall comfort and peace of mind. There are also plenty of parks, cafes, and recreational areas nearby, making it perfect for both families and professionals. I like living here. Helpful staff, beautiful places for walks, comfortable gym, good location (shops within walking distance). I removed one star because there is no playground for children.

You're the best! We really appreciate the positive review. Hurricane Helene wiped out our playground with a tree and it is uncertain as of now how that space may be used in the future. So far very happy here. Lovely community with a wonderful area for walking alone or with pers ot children. Have never seen anything like it attached to a community in which I lived. Office staff extremely professional, friendly and helpful.

I really like it here. The porches are very large compared to other apartments . I especially love the attached 2 car garage. Location is great also!
