There are many cockroaches, the trash never gets picked up, and the property management people are not very responsive. Also the mail room is only open for very limited hours, making it difficult to pick up mail if you work a job with normal hours.
Amazing ! I love this place, and my kids love it more. Store , schools and freeways are close, Every area in this property is clean and lovely .

Aside from our noisy upstairs neighbor, who plays loud music so late at night with lots of stumping as if they chasing each other, no kids just adults living up there, it is always a pleasure living here. Friendly staff who goes above and beyond to cater to residents needs and maintenance has been doing their best whenever we need things done. Kudos to everyone! And as for our noisy upstairs neighbor, well I heard that they are leaving soon, hopefully we’ll have a new more quiet tenants above us.

My dryer broke down in March but it has not been fixed and nobody has shown up even to even check what’s wrong with it, very disappointed. The people who work in the office are so rude and disrespectful

Avana star lake has really poor management & communication. They are rude & do not care about residents at all. The pools will also never be open so don’t count on using them ever.

This is a very nice apartment, safe and clean, I love it here, one of the thing I don’t like is my apartment not having washer and dryer, it’s very stressful to go out every Sunday to do laundry, I wish to move to another apartment here in Avana with washer and drying bcos my husband said some of the apartment has washer and dryer, I have been to the gym and I must say it’s beautiful, I love it! I’m working no so I don’t have time to go into the gym like before, I love it here

They should maintain well-kept grounds and apply policies fairly to all tenants. Prompt Repairs: A good apartment will have prompt repairs and a regular fumigation schedule. Cleanliness and Upkeep: The apartment should be properly turned over between tenants, with cleaned carpets, repainted walls, and updated appliances. The overall building should look secure and well-maintained.

Great apartments at an affordable price. Marni is a lovely and helpful leasing agent, however I've had plenty of issues with slow or non-responsive office staff with regards to maintenance requests. Overall good experience in my time here

This apartment complex is so disappointing, I really wish I didn’t have to give it any stars. Maintenance can’t communicate let alone get work orders completed without me either harassing the front office or writing bad reviews. I was even told by the old maintenance employees how bad the mold is for majority of the property but not one professional mold removing company has been seen to resolve the issues around the complex. My last work orders that were minor sat for five months until I got a call about my open ticket, just for the front office employee to not pay attention to which unit they were calling and for what problem, just for the problems I have to not be fully fixed. Highway robbery for what we pay just to live with half working appliances. I hate that I can’t even move out of here yet, because if I could financially afford it I would’ve high tailed it out of here a long time ago.

Except for some of the neighbors being loud all night this apartment complex isn’t bad at all. I tend to stay to myself as much as possible. My kids love the other kids around here so that’s a plus.

I just moved in on March 28 and am very disappointed with my living experience, which has become quite a headache for me recently. First, the heater in the bedroom is making a loud noise, and the heater in the living room is not working at all, making it difficult for me to sleep. I have submitted my maintenance request multiple times, but the issues remain unresolved. Additionally, the dryer is not functioning; my clothes come out wet even after running it for a couple of hours. The fridge is missing a shelf as well. I emailed the leasing office about my concerns, including a recorded video, but I have not received any response. Second, I have lost my package multiple times, even though I have a camera in use. I cannot have my packages delivered to my door when I'm not home because someone in the neighborhood might steal them. This has never happened to me before in my previous rental experiences. I am very disappointed.

Not being able to opt out of trash butler, literal trash and dog poop everywhere and 5 shootings in 18 months are not what I expected. The maintenance team is fantastic, the office never answers the phone.

It’s still somewhat an amazing experience living here. Well, except still having the same noisy and annoying upstairs neighbor of ours that makes too much noise really late at night until dawn, with loud music, lots of talking and laughing loud, alot of stomping and noises that seems like they’re wrestling each other, this happens almost every every night specially towards the weekend. Other than that it is a pleasure to be here and would love to stay for a long time.

It was awesome! Marni was the BEST!!!I she made sure we were okay and set to move in! The trash butler is so cool!!! I love my home it’s so beautiful and spacious for me and my family! The neighborhood so far is so friendly!I also love how the schools are super close!

We’ve had a great time being a resident here, though at times there are some neighbor disturbances with loud music playing after 11pm when it’s supposed to be quiet time, maintenance team is quick in responding with needed repairs and all great office staff, it’s always a pleasure to be here.

Overall pretty decent living experience. Had a leak in the ceiling, filed a maintenance report, didn’t hear back for a month, talked to front desk, and the leak was fixed in the next 2 weeks. Saw one roach in apartment, that was scary, but haven’t seen any since ????. Trash likes to get loose around the complex (birds pick at trash, trash sits in dumpster areas for awhile). I’ve been personally shot at 2x when someone was trying to break into my car and in a span of 8 months, there have been 7 on-site shooting incidents….and those are just the ones I know about. The leasing and resident services team averages a month or more in getting back to you. They are also extremely rude anytime you speak to them. The property manager is rude as well and also does not respond. You can never reach the office by phone. No one ever returns calls or answers submitted concerns from the resident portal, etc. Mail is forwarded to an inconvenient post office. There is always trash everywhere. They also had no helpful things to say when I asked about reporting an insanely loud neighbor. Worst run community I’ve ever seen. The maintenance team however, is amazing! They are great!

If I could give this complex 0 stars I would. Everything was fine when I first moved in, they were very accommodable in the beginning but shortly after very shortly after that changed. My toilet began leaking water along with my sink and I placed a maintenance request which took two months to get looked at then when the toilet kept leaking even after a toilet change I submitted another maintenance request and it wasn't until I left a bad review that they decided to come and take another look then they finally did their job and came to fix the problem. Which was water in my walls. This problem was fixed in the summer time and a month later I am having the same problems, the toilet is leaking AGAIN! This building has had multiple emergency water shut offs for the past few months due to other units having leaking and it still has yet to be fixed. Now my daughter has black mold growing inside of her closet that is starting from the bathroom where there was water in the walls! I have been submitting multiple maintenance requests and making multiple calls and all they could tell me was they have 730 other maintenance requests and they are answered in the order they are received mind you I have a daughter that has a breathing tube and severe asthma and I have mentioned this to them on multiple occasions. I have even asked for a unit transfer and have not heard back about that either. If I were you I wouldn't even try my luck, the price is fine and fits exactly what you are getting

It takes forever to get anything resolved by management. You get put on hold for long period time on the phone and get the run around when talking with staff in person. Been trying to transfer to a new unit for years, was told not able to several times after being told by management it would be ok. Get it together people.

I want to say to others don’t waste your money in this building, you will see the trash everywhere. This is about 5 months that I am living here I didn’t see any one to clean the stairs. Before signing the lease all the staff is acting good after that they even don’t hear you voice and also they kick you out from the leasing office. I am super disappointed that I am living in this property which the leasing office didn’t talk with you as human.
