Property Ratings at Avana San Jose
Affordable and well taken care of. At first glanced, loved the complex and had no issues with anything. As time set in I noticed the flaws and they out weighed the good unfortunately. The pool is lovely and the hot tub is always hot. Good luck getting in there though, after the office closes a bunch of people party in the pool till about 11. I used to see security all the time when I first moved in but haven’t seen anyone for at-least a year now. Avana San Jose has a lot of great features as is and could be a great place to live with some renovations and security

I’ve called Avana San Jose home for over 20 years, witnessing its transformation from Green Trees Apartments to Terra Apartments, and now to Avana. This community has truly been a constant in my life—a place I not only live but love. The management over the years has consistently worked to maintain and improve the property, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. I’ve been a resident here at Avana for almost 5 months, my experience has been great so far! I feel safe here and having my own parking spot has been a blessing. The new app has been so convenient, we had a small leak under the sink so I used the app to put in a service request and it was fixed within just a few days!

We have been living in Avana for more than a year now, and our stay here has been superb. They have amenities available to the residents, such as swimming pools and a gym. They are also really good at keeping us feel accommodated. Every time we have a concern, they address it right away. They have been very helpful to us, and we are very grateful. Great apartment with cheaper price than the others. Very quiet place. And I also love Avana for having a public laundry in the community.

Avana is a warm and pleasant community. The units are renovated and all the appliances are new. I like that we have designated parking spots. There are also awesome amenities that I really look forward to visit after COVID. Truly a place that can be considered home.

We are glad we moved to Avana San Jose, it is a gated community good for childs safety,we love the patio here, laundry available inside your apartment, there are lots of amenities like swimming pool, gym, dog park, community is well maintained (landscaping). Very horrible apartments to live at, problems include: -Cholos hanging out smoking near guest parking -residents smoking in general weed/cigar -loud upstairs/downstairs neighbors -neglected apt interior falling apart -you will find someone having loud parties normally -neglected landscapes due to Bright view and big aggressive unauthorized dogs pooping everywhere -people parking in your spot or parking is bad -pool but people bathe their dogs in it and public laundromat is full of dog hairs - very nice staff but it's like talking to a wall - best in class security but only if they are called they do not patrol the area -gated community but gated get hot from people trying to entertain through the exit side - LOUD MOTORCYCLES AND CARS SOUNDS LIKE FREEWAY OUT OF MY WINDOW - made manny complains but all manager wants to do is kick me out saying I'm the problem If you want loud kids running upstairs or a party at night come on down to AVANA OF SAN JOSE
Super friendly staff, this whole place is very nice. The other residents, are so polite to me and my kids. I appreciate the quiet neighborhood

I have been here for over 8 months. Pre - Covid I enjoyed the amenities. The gym, hot tub, sitting benches around. Was looking forward to BBQ in the spring and summer but Covid-19 hit. I work a lot from home and the community is very quiet, the insulation on the buildings allows me to work without outside interference. The upper deck floor squeaks a lot though, that could be improved. AC should be upgraded and also put in the bedroom.
Avana San Jose is a great place to live. Great floor plan. Wonderful fronds. and amenities

Avana made it very easy to apply online. Everything was fast when doing the lease. Like the fact that everything is online from paying rent to any concerns I may have. Overall I love it here and I finally feel at home. I'm not bothered by how much company I have.

Avana is a great, quiet, secluded, pet-friendly environment. I love how the environment feels like youre in another part of San Jose considering its right on the Main Street. I do, however, feel like the campus needs some adjustments. For one, the balconies have no coverage so for anyone whos looking to have outdoor furniture or storage, the natural elements will weather your materials. Second, there isnt much storage in the kitchen floor plan we have. So if you have a lot of electrical devices, chances are, they wont fit into your cabinets. Lastly, the parking is a mess. There isnt a designated load zone for delivery services so they just grab any available parking which affects people who use those parking. Also, people park all over the property in red zones and its annoying especially when you need to back out and your space is limited

Rent prices are so high in San José ca, but here at Avana San José they still affordable.
