About thirty minutes north of Charlotte on Interstate 77 sits Mooresville, a quiet community on the shore of Lake Norman. Known to many as “Race City USA,” it is the home to the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame, many NASCAR and IndyCar racing teams and drivers, plus several racing technology suppliers; Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, and Kyle Busch are among the many drivers who have facilities in the area.
Mooresville is also home to the world headquarters of Lowes Companies, one of the biggest employers in the region. Nearby Huntersville hosts the annual Renaissance Festival, which runs from early October to late November every year. I had an unexpected experience with Avana Lake, from the staff to the maintenance of the property i was highly impressed and continue to be. For someone that hasn't lived in an apartment for a long time, I expected the experience of getting approved, signing the lease, moving, etc to be treacherous. I was not looking forward to it. But from the initial greeting when I 1st step through the doors of the office, to getting approved, signing the lease and finally moving in was actually a pretty painless process. Everyone one involved throughout the process were, attentive and helpful, all with a warm smile. I've enjoyed the gym. I was impressed with the equipment and I love that its open 24/7. I can go anytime and I feel absolutely safe. The neighbors have been welcoming and Im surprised how quiet it can be. After looking at several properties, Im happy that I was able to make this my home. Thank Avana Lake!!!

Having moved here from New England, I did not have the opportunity to visit Avana Lake Norman in advance. I was disappointed that no one on the on-site team was available to show me to my apartment when I arrived, although I had notified them of my arrival time and date. Despite the lack of welcome I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance and livability of my apartment. After being here for nearly a year, I have no complaints about the apartment and have nothing but praise for the hardworking maintenance team.

Apartment are clean, spacious and quiet. The complex is laid out in such a way you feel secluded in your building. Plenty of parking spaces and visitor parking.
Great initial tour, poor move in experience. Leasing office was unprepared, lacked clear communication prior to move in day, and was and still is unable to resolve a number of email communication issues. The complex and apartments themselves are nice, but there is a lot of road noise from the nearby main road. That being said it is very conveniently located and close to many dining and shopping locations.
Great non-smoking community. Nice amenities. Excellent management and maintenance.
Beautiful, friendly community; near shopping; good schools.
Great community overall; however, rates are fairly high given what’s provided.

I am generally happy and satisfied with the management and maintenance staff. There are still too many issues of people speeding through the neighborhood and recently I have noticed several occasions of extreme automobile noise (loud noisy mufflers) very late in the evening 1-3am in the morning!

I've lived here two years and have really enjoyed it. The neighborhood is quiet, the amenities are nice, and the apartment is very homey. My only complaint is that since Waterlynn was bought out by Avana, I have had the hardest time getting into contact with the office without walking through the front doors. They don't reply to messages through their "For Residents" system, and the phone number on the website is invalid. I've been waiting to hear from the office about renting a storage space since I sent in the application 4 weeks ago. I've even gone by the office to make sure they got my application and was assured they were "working on it". That was a week ago, and I have still yet to see an email or receive a phone call regarding my application. Love living here, but I'm so frustrated by this.

I liked nothing about this property. Since I moved in they've had at least three property mangers in the office. The new one named --- is completely disrespectful to residents and her employees. I can't believe that a company that charges the amount they do for rent would allow such an unprofessional property manager like --- to work there and treat people the way she does. I would not recommend this property, unless you like being treated like crap by The manager. *

The apartments constantly smell, no matter how many candles or scents you have. The internet they FORCE you to pay for never works or it works like we're living in 1999. They're very rude and slow on getting things done. They paid for a repaint, but obviously hired the cheapest people they could. Who also threw my furniture and things from the deck into a pile, breaking items. The price they charge doesn't reflect the quality of living.

We Lived here for 1 month already since November and got very disappointed. I told the office we had bunch of bugs(flying bugs) in the apt TWICE. It's very disgusting and annoying. Three weeks passed by, but the maintenance never came. Very poor service for such high rent for 2 bedroom($1,060).
