Property Ratings at Avalon Princeton
Lived at the Avelon Princeton for two years. The apartment is equivalent in pricing to any major city which I think is overpriced for NJ. They had multiple fire alarms go off in the middle of the night...way more than I have seen go off in other similar apartment complexes I have lived in the past. Its quite disturbing. The amenities are non existent. The pool is constantly closed because of life guard shortages which other friends and family who live in other places and pay less rent don't experience. I stopped going to the gym in the building because I had unwanted contact by some people there almost stalking me which was very concerning since its the same place I live in. So now I pay a gym membership even though I justified the price of the rent thinking I would save on a monthly gym membership. Parking for one car is 155 a month and your guest have to pay to park which is also unheard of in suburbia NJ. They make you have a mandatory cable and internet package which is unfortunately more than what I was paying for before they made the changes. They also have very faulty construction. Lots of water stain walls. The staff are nice. The area is quiet and I don't hear my neighbours. The grounds are well maintained. But other than that very few positives please look elsewhere I know I will be.
Property is insanely expensive for lack of quality and amenities. Avalon also charges tons of fees on move in and move out.
It was built so flimsy and unfortunately it was built as a jerry building on such a good location. All floors are hard floored so all noises from upstair and around come to the house directly. It is so painful. Look at window frame, how cheap one they took. Wind is coming from gaps in frame directly so cold in Winter. Can't believe that it is only 2 years old building. Managemen is bad, no care about parking on fire places or blocked one, so always making car noises even deep night. If your house is luckly located on the top floor, you will not hear upstair's slam sounds, but you will have to be careful to walk on floor, otheriwse, you will have a big complaint. But management office don't care. They are just happy being hired by big real estate company and don't do real work to help tenants. They increase the price every year about 10%, so be ready to have that surprising renewal contract. And if you want to have month-to-month renew, your rent fee will be doubled. No flexiblity and always maximizing profit. Very mean.
