Although I am from Fort Wayne, I leased an apartment while still living in New Mexico and planning my move back to town. The office staff and maintenance team have been great. Good communication and easy app to use to pay rent or report issues. Love having a carport, outdoor storage, massive personal patio, gym and pool to use. Also great that it's close to downtown, trails, and major retailers.

Autumn Creek is definitely riding the line of what is acceptable for a rental unit. Location: I am a big fan of this location as you are only a few minutes away from Jefferson Pointe as well as downtown Fort Wayne. The only negative is that Autumn Creek is a bit far from I69. Apartment management: The apartment management staff are friendly, and kind. However, I have never rented from an organization that does not allow you to pay rent by debit, credit, or check without unnecessary fees. E-check is supported by Autumn Creek, but my bank doesn't do E-checks. Maintenance: Maintenance at Autumn Creek is awful. The way Autumn Creek does maintenance is very unique; It is very apparent they really, really, REALLY, want to save as much money as possible on maintenance costs... This is shown in the general upkeep of the units, as well as any maintenance requests you submit. Drywall and paint is cracked in multiple rooms, floors are not even close to being level (appliances and furniture is almost guaranteed to wobble or sag into the floor), balcony door frames are misaligned preventing use of the screen door,ceilings/corners aren't square, dust everywhere and filthy windows upon move in.... I could go on but this review would be too long. Submitting maintenance request is usually a point of frustration from a personal and technical perspective. Maintenance fails to notify you when they are coming (UNLESS you demand otherwise), they talk down to feminine roommates, and the quality of work is abysmal. Examples of what Autumn Creek maintenance thinks is acceptable: instead of replacing misaligned/unlevel stove top burners they just smash/jam the burner in to its place slightly farther, instead of replacing broken shower diverter valve, they just screw it back on and say it's good enough despite water still pouring out of the bath spout during showers. Amenities: Air conditioning, laundry, balcony, and hot water are all extremely disappointing. Air conditioning is weak, only two rooms seem to be affected. Laundry appliances are so old and small that maintenance recommended I don't wash my bed linens because it might damage them. Air conditioning and water heater will also cost you a fortune if you use them even minimally. You will pay double/triple what you are use to paying for your electricity bill.

Mgt changes every sec. Promised and have lease agreements with previous mgr. Mgr leaves and then your screwed! Lived in my apt for 4 years. Carpet should of been replaced anyway. Got charged for it including when Maintenance came in and out of my apt with muddy shoes ( we never wore shoes in house) took money from our deposit of course. Gave me hand me down appliances that were old and hunky instead of ordering a new one. Also was lied to about having to be a full time student to have a co-signers just because our rent was the same for years because we had agreement with previous mgr. Credit score-(good) income(good) had to redo a application even though i had been in that same apt for 4 years LOL ABSOLUTELY THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING you can imagine! They did me a favor though! Now live in a 3 bedroom home and pay a Lil less than what I paid a month there! Autumn creek is a RIP OFF! might as well rent or buy a home for what they ask for these apts!

During my time living here I’ve had to deal with bats AND mice coming through the vents. I was terrorized in my own home. 24 hour maintenance was never 24 hours and only responded to calls after 5-6 am and then shows up after 7 am. This place is sucks please do yourself a favor and do not come here!

I lived there for one year after my divorce. My heat bill was astronomical - almost $200/month. I talked to the front office and the maintenance came in to “seal” the apartment and it did nothing. Drafty windows. Oh and when you move out, they’ll try to charge you to replace the carpet. My apartment was left impeccable. My move out invoice didn’t have my rent payment properly applied. I had to fight the front office even with a copy of my electronic receipt. There’s better apartments out there for the sane money. Keep looking!

As a college student at one of the universities near the apartment complex, this is a nice place to be. The price is affordable for my roommates and I and we have not experienced any criminal mischief while I have been here. They are in need of upgrades in their facilities and if there was a way to provide more parking and dumpsters that would be hepful. Overall the staff is pleasant as well as my time here.
Maintenance used my sweeper to clean up wet dry wall mud & ruined it, which they never replaced. Cars are broken down & left in parking area taking up space. Nothing gets fixed right such as several tarps are on many of the roofs due to water leaks. Staff changes every 2 months, so what was promised by previous management, never gets completed. Could not use oven in summer due too heat coming out from vent, which cause air to run, was promised several times new stove and refrigerator. Trees fall & stay there for months or even years. I would give this place a minus 10.
Nice, roomy apartment, nice complex. Grounds are kept very well. Never a problem when maintenance is needed... always done quickly and efficiently. Office Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful at all times.
I want to take this chance to thank Cassie and Amy for their help in moving me in. What fantastic service. Those girls are "on it!" They were always friendly, called me by name and were johnny on the spot for answers/concerns. The grounds look really nice with the added spring flowers. The maintenance guys are prompt and courteous, my requests were met either the same day or the very next. My apartment fits me like a glove. The remodeling is really nice and fresh. Thank you.
First off I want to say that the apartment itself is nice. It is pretty big and I think I have one of the smaller apartments available. Some of the negatives for the apartment I am in is the outlets are all worn, and things have a hard time staying plugged in. Also, I ran into a problem with a neighbor who was blasting music all day. The office did take care of that after I called and complained three or four times. The biggest downfall in my opinion was when I was in talks with signing the lease, the lady that I was normally working with wasn't there one day, and the lady I talked to instead told me that all the apartments had washers, and dryers. That however is not the case only the two bed two baths have that. Also, my girlfriend is allergic to smoke, and at least one of the tenants in my building smoke and you can smell it in our apartment sometimes. And I'm not to sure that someone doesn't smoke marijuana in there too because sometimes it smells like it. To my point though is that I asked if it was a smoke free apartment, and once again I was told it was. One last thing is that my girlfriend works at what they called a preferred location, so we were promised a discount on rent. We have yet to receive that discount. Other than that the apartment isn't bad, and I take the blame for not looking more into it.
I have been here over 6 years now and still liking it.It is quite and safe place to live.Things do get fixed when things break down.Give the maints guys time to fix,They have other things to fix also.I would suggest my friends too live here... I do wish the other people that rent here be more neighborly,get to know your neighbors and talk to them. The office people have always treated me good and they were nice. R.S.
I lived there for a period of 1 year. The staff changed faster than I could even learn anyone's name. The maintenance man was very slow, but that was about 7 maintenance guys ago. Numerous scares of bed bugs. People can be seen with all their clothes on the porch in trash bags to contain them. The workout area is very dark and unsafe if you ask me. Musty smells in the corridor. If it were free to live there I would not move back in. Many break ins happening in the parking lot at night. Cars broken and vandalized. Very unsafe.
I really enjoy living at autumn Creek. They have a really nice pool in gym. Fairly quiet the Apartments are pretty spacious. Only had two complaints the maintenance guys could do a better job and maybe more kid friendly like a playground or something.
