Located about 27 miles northwest of Detroit, Pontiac is an up-and-coming city brimming with historic charm and a strong sense of community spirit. Named after a chief of the Ottawa tribe, Pontiac was once a center for automobile manufacturing. In fact, Pontiac built an array of cars, trucks, and the renowned bus Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks famously made history on.
After being hit hard by the Great Recession, Pontiac is on the rise. Numerous restaurants, companies, and amenities are setting up shop in Pontiac, including the M1 Concourse—an 87-acre playground for auto enthusiasts. Historic Downtown Pontiac has been revitalized, offering a slew of cafes, shops, and entertainment options for the community, like the historic Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts and the Crofoot performance venue.
A bevy of scenic parks provide plenty of space for outdoor recreation in Pontiac, such as Murphy Park, Galloway Lake Park, and Hawthorne Park.

Property Ratings at Auburn Village Townhomes
Maintenance is very unprofessional, just shows up without any form of communication and never fixes any problems. Office staff doesn’t communicate and does whatever they want to do. Neighbors are rude, arrogant and blast music in they cars at all hours of the night. Waking people up who actually work for a living. Not worth the price. Also ROACHES!
Mrs.Simmons was very helpful, she understood my needs and met them perfectly. Any questions or concerns I have she makes sure she gets right back with me and handles them accordingly. Highly recommended
As a young first time renter and college student the move in process was daunting, of course. The kind, patient, attentive staff -ESPECIALLY KEKE!!!- always responded to my many questions promptly and helped make the process less overwhelming. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amenities and quality of the rental units. I was impressed enough to be sure of my decision to rent there the first time I saw the property, the second time just assured me of my decision. Definitely a quiet and family-oriented community. They helped me get moved in within 2 weeks of my application date and were flexible with my strained financial situation. They definitely made a nice living place very attainable for me. 10/10 would recommend you find yourself in Auburn Village with KeKe on your side.
When I put in the application for this complex I really thought I was applying for a quality apartment...SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH! I've been living here for almost 6 months and I HATE IT! Something breaks in this apartment every single month, normally right after I pay my rent. The office staff takes their time to put in work orders and the maintenance staff take even LONGER to make the repairs. When my heat broke it took 11 days for them to put in the work order, someone come out to figure out what was wrong, order the part, part arrive, schedule someone to come over to repair, someone actually arrive and then FINALLY fix it. Mind you, ITS COLD OUTSIDE! The staff is very unpleasant and unhelpful. At first when Lena came she tried to pretend like she cared about our heat not working and getting it back to working but that was a total front. No one in that office cares about what happens to the apartments, all they care about is collecting the rent. At this point I haven't been late but I've heard some of the unfortunate people's voicemails during visits to the office...the staff is extremely rude to whomever they're speaking to. My oven isn't working currently and I called it in on Friday. No one came out to look at it until Monday afternoon...after I had called a couple times. I'm just tired of all of the run around yet don't be late with your rent. I am praying that the last 6 months of this lease go VERY QUICKLY because I'm so ready to move! Good luck to anyone that chooses this complex!
They welcome me with great smiles and kindness. They showed me around the apartment complex. They made me feel at home.
Called about property and received information from Jessica. Jessica was very knowledgeable in the application process. Very professional when I went in also, the club house was very clean.
Staff was very friendly and positive and kind I really like the positivity and energy
Everyone was very nice & welcomong, great pricing! Loved my experience touring and we hope to make it home!!!
The Leasing Officer was friendly, helpful and welcoming. She was eager to answer all of our questions. Let’s not forget the Townhouse was very spacious, well kept facilities, nice playground area, plenty storage space and I love that it was a ceiling fan in the kitchen. Looking forward to renting here soon.
Very positive and friendly, apartments are spacious, great size basement and closets.
I came into Auburn village with welcoming hands. The nice lady took me on a tour and I loved what I’ve seen. Any questions I had was answered. I’m looking forward In being apart of auburn village team!
The first time I arrived here the environment was super friendly and welcoming! Management was awesome as well! They were super understanding and helpful!! Definitely recommend this place!! The townhomes are very clean too and had just been updated so everything is fresh! If you’re looking for a place to settle down, this is definitely it! -CH
There are huge rats running around outside you townhome. They leave the trash on the ground by the dumpster. This place is horrible. I can’t wait to move.
I absolutely love my townhouse. It is very spacious with a full basement and plenty of closet space. The neighbors are nice and others keep to themselves mostly. The only thing that annoys me is the fact that there isn't an on site maintenance crew and when something needs to be fixed they can be relatively slow. The owner splits the maintenance crew they have between three properties. I've never had a issue with the leasing office losing anything if mine , which is a plus.
WATCH OUT!!! WATCH OUT!!! THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO CALL HOME. WE HAD LOTS OF MAINTENANCE ISSUES AND VERY POOR MANAGEMENT - THEY WERE SUPER SLOW AND REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR ISSUES. I CALLED ANTHONY ABOUT OUR MAINTENANCE ISSUE, HE IGNORED MY REQUEST, OFF THE PHONE ON ME WHILE I WAS STILL SPEAKING TO HIM, IGNORED MY CALLS AFTER CALLING BACK, AND LIED TO MY FACE WHEN I WENT TO THE OFFICE. HE ACTED REALLY RUDE AND HIS MANAGER SEEM TO BE OK WITH IT. IT IS CLEAR HE IS NOT THERE TO ASSIST ANYONE BUT TO GET A CHECK. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOWNHOME TO ANYONE! PLEASE SAFE YOURSELF THE STRESS OF DEALING WITH UNORGANIZED AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT TEAM!!!!!
It is the worst management I have ever dealt with in my life. The office staff is simply unprofessional, incapable of doing the job and unwilling to assist. It was almost impossible to talk to a superior/manager to file a complaint against them. They are misinforming the tenants, they are rude and all they care is to get the money, not to provide comfort and quality services in return. I've been a tenant for almost 4 years and I know what I am talking about. Find a place that is not owen by Harvest Properties. Good luck!
Do not rent from here! *Staff is far from professional *Staff is changed so much that whoever works there books for making sure rent gets paid messes up horribly! *They wrongfully send people to court because of mistakes they've made. *rent is raiser EVERY YEAR
The current property manager, which I know I cannot name (begins with a B and ends with an i) is by far the most rude, unprofessional and disrespectful person I have ever dealt with in all my years. We came to her seeking help on having to terminate our lease early and found a qualified person that was willing to apply and move in to our current townhouse. The attitude she had towards all of us was not one Harvest Properties LLC should be proud of. We are looking into legal actions with this property as they are violating Fox v. Roethlisberger, 85 N.W.2d 73 (Mich. 1957) and are not attempting to find a suitable tenant to rerent the property due to the fact that they can continue to get paid on the lease without filling it. If you for some unforeseen reason have to terminate your lease early, they will not allow you to find someone to move in to your townhouse and will continue charging you until your lease is up. They will charge you $500 to terminate and you will lose your security deposit, in additional to you having to pay the full term. You do not have a choice as to what townhouse you can move in to. Please understand that my issue with the town home is not fully related to the place we are living, rather it's with the management running it. We've had multiple issues with maintenance, but it is expected with most properties. What is not expected is not being able to use your shower for 4 weeks. We were unable to use our shower because it was destroyed and had to get resealed, which they didn't send out until 4 weeks after we moved in. This review is an honest account as to what happened and what is currently happening.
I've lived here for three months. I've called them literally weekly to remind them my bathroom floods from the window every time it rains hard and I get greeted with a very kind "we will have someone out there immediatly" and then no one comes out. This has made the moulding on the wall peel and fall off. The lenolium throughout the house is laid poorly and not attached around the edges (curls up). In the bathroom it is literally laid in layers on top of itself with open slots around the toilet letting moisture in. I dropped a can on the stove hood and discovered they have it poorly hung with two screws barely attached to the kitchen cupboard. The sliding door tracks are terrible and get stuck constantly. Rips in all the window screens. There is graffiti on the front of apartmen that they keep ignoring. Every time I ask them something they say "I will have to talk to my manager about that" while not writing anything down and never getting back to you about it. Otherwise the apartments are cheap, free heat, and the layout is great. Just don't expect customer service.
Spacious bedrooms and newly appliances. Very nice!!!
I have lived here for about 3years ...and the complex have switched management at least 10 times...for people stealing your money once you pay...not entering the rent payments on time...numerous of things...the apartments are outdated...with no signs of updating them...noise is not bad at all...just the property owners...
no maintenance on site. you have to wait weeks and in our case months to get fixed or even addressed.
The overall performance of this place is fair, very poor management. My girlfriend and I moved here about a month ago and we've already had several issues with this place. First when we got our place we noticed that they had sloppily prepared our townhome for us. You can clearly see that they just threw on a thin coat of paint and called it a day. We found that the racks of our dishwasher were fairly rusted which to be fair they replaced the racks. Aside from that one of our main concerns were the pests. We encountered roaches several times and with several purchases of insecticide we were able to kill most of them. The point is though there should not be insects like that inhabiting the house before us!!! As far as the management team we have only met one but the one we encountered was friendly yet she could never fullfill any obligation she was trying to make for us. The overall score I give this place is fair decent house , decent noise level and very poor management staff. I'm not saying that every house here is like this but I am saying that's it's unacceptable to have that problem. Pick and choose it's entirely up to you these are just some of the events I have encountered so far...
