Outer North Charleston sits at the center of the city of North Charleston and lies just under 13 miles to the northwest of nearby downtown Charleston. An easy 20-minute drive via Interstate 26 takes residents into downtown Charleston and its multitude of restaurants and bars. The Charleston Air Force Base resides at the center of the outer North Charleston neighborhood, and due to this proximity, many current and former military personnel make the neighborhood their home. My experience from day 1 was nothing short of incredible. I had gone back and forth on so many different apartment communities, not really feeling like I had found the one that felt like home. From the moment I inquired online, a leasing consultant with Asher was eager to get in touch with me. The communication was friendly, consistent and clear. When I stepped foot into the main office for my first tour, the warm greeting I received was impressionable, and the atmosphere was breathtaking. I felt like I was walking into a friend’s home with how welcoming the entire staff was. The tour wasn’t just a tour — it was a beautiful stroll through what felt like a different world. From the stunning landscaping, to the many amenities and regular resident events, and finally the gorgeous apartment units, I was left speechless. Asher is the textbook definition of luxury meets comfort. The quality of the units - from the appliances, to the layout and the structure exceeded my standards. The warm welcome I received from the staff the day I first toured, all the way up to now living here. The amenities are to die for - the pool providing an island-escape type of feeling, the gym filled with all the equipment you could need, the WINE tasting bar, and the regular resident mixers/events. You truly feel you get what you are paying for, in a luxury setting, surrounded by friendly people - from the residents to the staff, all while feeling like you are at home. Also, the Greystar resident portal is so use-friendly and so convenient for paying rent, learning about events, submitting work orders, and more. 12/10 community and experience.

I have lived at other four apartments in the Charleston area, Asher is the best. Convenient location, affordable, brand new units, plenty of parking, great amenities, and super safe (gated and well-lit). The office ladies and maintenance man, Adam, are so nice and helpful and know all of their residents by name.

Asher Complex offers modern and well maintained apartments. The management team is responsive and proactive, always planning ahead. They also organize great events to bring the Asher community together. The complex is conveniently located near gas stations, shopping centers, and restaurants. I highly recommend moving in if you work in Charleston.

I think the apartments are nice, however I feel they were rushed. There are issues with the water pressure, grounds are not well maintained. My unit has lots of plastics insulation sitting in my cabinet, the front door isn't insulated well. There has been sighting of roaches and ants in a newly constructed apartment. Pest control needs to spray the outside and inside of the units.

The Asher is the most beautiful apartment complex that we toured during our apartment search. I appreciate the thought that went into the design of both the common area, and the individual units. It makes the space feel more comfortable. The gym and pool are both beautiful. The Team here also does a good job getting to know the residents which adds to a nice on-site neighborhood feeling.
