I do tell folks how nice it is to live in the Artessa. Have friends at The Pearl and we compare apts all the time, that place sort of fun to visit but don’t wanna live there.

Great location and views, but complex is showing its age. Updates needed to compete with other communities in the area. Advertised as luxury urban living, but outdated finishes and appliances are far from luxurious.

Nice community, building, and location. Very poor leasing experience and unit condition upon move in. Has been much more difficult than it should be to fix these issues as well.

Sad to move. It’s the perfect location in San Antonio; central to everything you need. Golf course is a perfect view. However, the management has been awful.

The location is unbeatable! Maintenance Team is very capable and responsive. The Office Team is very courteous and receptive to resident input. I am a long-term resident and plan to stay for many more years.

While the office staff are incredibly kind and understanding, these apartments boast a luxury apartment along with the luxury price yet are far from it. Important community security features have not worked for almost a year some at least 2, paint chipping off corridors fans inoperable and missing arms outdated appliances and cabinetry but yet charge ridiculous Lux prices and raise the lease 11% if not more. How much more $$ do you need Mr. I own half of the Quarry?? Is retention not important to anyone these days? Huge disappointment. This is NOT luxury sir.

Moved in with great expectations. It has been far from what I expected. The grounds are not maintained above a bare minimum, the apartments are extraordinarily noisy - likely built cheaply but to look fancy. I hear every single move from my upstairs neighbor (hardwood floors above the first floor are a cosmically bad idea), and lots of noise from the halls and next door neighbor. It takes multiple requests to get items resolved, if they ever get resolved at all. The security gate to the garage has been inoperable for months. The security gates through walkways are finicky. Yet when I went to renew my lease they wanted to raise my rent by ridiculous amounts. If it weren't for the great location and friends I've made with other residents and retailers (neither of which have anything to do with the operations of the complex) it would be a near total bust. If location is your only priority, this is your place. If you expect what most expect out of a complex in the area of town, I'd look elsewhere.

Great location and views of the golf course, but needed repairs are not a priority like the garage security gate, fire alarm regularly trips due to "tests", and locked external doors rarely function properly or lock.

Artessa has a good management team. The cleanliness of the hallways sometimes are disregard, seems that it needs a scheduled dates.

I love this community and to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants is such a plus for me and convenient. Moises made my move-in experience so pleasant. He was so nice and patient with me and willing to help me to make me happy and satisfied.

LOVE this community management has been remarkably patient and helpful with me. some tenants tend to complain a lot but what are you gonna do? As far as the apartments themselves i can't speak highly enough of the management.

Issue after issue from before I could even move in. The apartment was not cleaned prior to move-in and when the cleaning crew was supposedly sent a second time, the apartment was no better. The kitchen was covered in grease that I had to clean myself. The floor had/has areas that don't seem to be able to be cleaned. Ants and insects have been here since day one and have only gotten worse. I had two sets of washer/dryer delivered that were either broken (so much so that the washer permanently damaged the tile floor beneath it) or disgustingly dirty (the second washer had hair from the last person who used it, as well as nasty buildup around the agitator and the inside of the barrel). I had them removed completely and had to buy my own. For as much money as Artessa is charging for these apartments in this great area of Alamo Heights at the Quarry, these apartments should be spotless, flawless, and impeccable. They are not. Not even close. These issues have been brought up with office staff in person and by e-mail and I was told on numerous occasions that the information would be relayed to management and I haven't heard ANYTHING from any member of management. Ever. If the apartment market weren't so hot and hard to nail down an apartment, I would have cancelled everything and moved elsewhere. I could go on and on with maintenance and make-ready failures. I have little expectation of hearing anything from the office staff or Greystar.

I do love living here. I usually hate apartment living but the Artessa is quiet and the floor plans are spacious and updated; it doesnt feel like an apartment! The staff is always so kind and friendly.

The location is great, fire alarms and grounds need upkeep. Gates at the entrance to garages should be maintained ( in working order at all times). Pool needs service yearound to include warmer in the winter.

Thank you taking the time for the review. Our fire system is still receiving repairs from the winter storm and our vendors are diligently working to finish the last of the items. Our gates are working if you are having problems with your remote, please bring it to the office so we can fix it for you. Our pools are able to be used year round but not heated. We thank you again for your feedback and look forward to helping you with your remote.
Beautiful views if you decided to lease with a view to the golf course. Great location with access to shopping mall, groceries and 2 major freeways.
