Nestled directly beside Texas A&M University, Northgate is College Station’s premier hub for dining, entertainment, and nightlife. Spanning over 150 acres, Northgate is known for its popular saloon-themed bars and music venues, low-key coffee shops and casual eateries serving everything from fast-food to comforting Southern staples like spicy fried chicken. The neighborhood borrows its name from its proximity to the university's north gate. Northgate is also home to the popular four-day Northgate Music Festival.
While Northgate apartments provide next-door access to the university, the neighborhood isn’t just for college students or university employees. Perfect for renters from all walks of life, Northgate has affordable and upscale rentals in a variety of styles. Proximity to Research Park the US Department of Agriculture, Easterwood Airport, golf courses, parks, and other popular spots make Northgate a popular choice.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

We called to inquire about renting an apartment next year and Makena answered the phone and was so helpful and answered all of our questions. In fact, she encouraged us to come for a tour (which we did) and Makena did amazing! She was very knowledgeable and what a beautiful smile! She made all the difference on our decision to rent there next year!
Parking is a disaster and maintenance/ safety is awful. Doors are supposed to require card access as a safety feature, however, the doors do not lock and management does not care about getting it fixed. On move in day, there’s a huge stain on floor that is never addressed. Parking garage is awful to navigate in past the first couple of floors—everyone parks in the wrong spot. Tenant has to call tow truck to have the car removed and wait 30 minutes for tow truck to arrive before being able to park. Find a place to live that cares about the safety of the students.
My son lived here from August 2021 - July 2022. The staff were very friendly and service driven. We appreciated them! The hallways, stairwells, and common areas were always filthy. The carpet in the hallway was dirty, stained, and never cleaned. The scam is moving out. When he moved out, he asked for paint and touched up all of his room and the common areas in the apartment, and we still didn't get our deposit back. They sent pictures of tiny marks on the paint and charged us for each one. It was over the top.
Throughout the few years I stayed here, the hallways and stairwells were very poorly maintained and not cleaned, with broken glass and the stench of alcohol, puke, and urine in the staircases while the stains of dogs and everything imaginable covered the hallway carpets. Doors were missing knobs, elevator panels and buttons were falling off, and the hot tub which was advertised as always on was almost never on, and the knob used to turn it on never worked. Overall very filthy. In addition to this, during my move-out, I very thoroughly cleaned my apartment only to receive $200 in cleaning fees despite leaving the area spotless (oven and bathtub cleaning fees), and I was charged $100 for damages caused by the plumbing breaking that the apartment staff assured me would not be charged to me as it wasn't my fault. Do not give this poor apartment your money.
