Straddling the Fox River and home to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Downtown Oshkosh is as scenic as it is exciting. The Oshkosh Riverwalk, complete with boat docks and benches, is a favorite for walking and jogging. The trail begins at Riverside Park, a popular green space along the river. The downtown shopping district features wide sidewalks framing historic buildings for a walkable, bicycle-friendly destination. One of the sweetest destinations in Downtown Oshkosh is also one of its historic -- Oak's Candy Store opened in 1890. Other historic locations include the Grand Opera House, built in 1883, and the Algoma Avenue, North Main Street, and Washington Avenue Historic Districts.
Downtown Oshkosh is home to a variety of events. The Oshkosh Chalk Walk features a variety of artists creating fantastic artwork on the downtown sidewalks. Other events include the Oshkosh Farmers' Market, the Oshkosh Gallery Walk, and the UnWINEd-Wine Walk.

Property Ratings at Anthem Luxury Living
Fridge cooling unit broke that cost the residents over 100$ in food. Then a new fridge took more than three days to get installed. No access to building gym for the first year. Broken elevator for almost a full year. Issues with automatic payment system cancelling payments (late fees not waived) Structural damage from building shifting on most door frames causing door closing issues. Air conditioning unit not working on two separate occasions. Undesirable use of the patio due to constant noise from roof repair construction and debris. Lastly, roof seeping water into the apartment ruining pictures, documents and the residents blender. Email was sent to management and no compensation was given and the rent was increased both years of living there.
Pros: Apartment is relatively comfortable. Central air in the apartment is a plus, and actual cost of gas (at least on the east end of the building) is very low in the winter. WPS (gas supplier) does get you with a daily "connection rate" that runs into 16-19 dollars a month, whether you actually consume gas or not. Very nice view if you are facing the river, especially if facing east, seeing the lake in the distance. Underground parking, elevators and exercise room are nice. Location in the city is good, with access to many things only a few minutes drive away. The river walk going right past the building is a definite plus, and it's not that far of a drive to Winnebago park. Cons: This can probably be said for most apartments, but if the person above you walks like they have stumps for legs, it gets quite loud. Biggest negatives relate to building condition and maintenance, especially given the building is new and has been open for business only two years now. The hall lights have been going out all winter. While some have been replaced, some have been out since mid December, making some parts of halls looking almost cave-like. The halls are air conditioned, but that has been out for weeks now, and with temperatures in the low 80's, they are starting to smell. There are no windows to at least get a cross-flow of ventilation on cooler days in the halls. One of the basement garage heaters went out and December, and is still out. Luckily we had a warmer winter, and things didn't suffer too badly. No grocery within walking distance at this point. Yeah buts: The building is one of the few "pet friendly" apartments in the city, and while a plus for pet owners, as a non pet owner one gets tired of seeing urine stains on the floor, puddles of urine in the elevator, and even dog crap in the halls. The building has free internet, but the service is so slow that it is really unusable, especially during peak use by the other apartments. If you expect to stream movies, expect to pay for your own internet connection. Granite counter tops are nice, but if one is honest they were installed more to assure longevity for the owners than for residents. Grills were finally installed in the common terrace area, bit charcoal instead of gas? Even the Rivers buildings right next door got gas, and they are the same management agency.
