The neighborhood follows Commencement Bay from Dash Point south to Fife Heights, and it is separated from downtown by the Port of Tacoma. Several marinas dot the shoreline of Northeast Tacoma, including Tyee Marina and Corinthian Yacht Club of Tacoma.
One of the highlights of Northeast Tacoma, Dash Point State Park, covers 400 acres along Puget Sound and is the ideal hiking, swimming, fishing, biking, and boating destination. Another great destination, Browns Point Lighthouse Park, sits along the northwest side of the neighborhood.
