The medical district, centered around the Harrington Regional Medical Center, serves the community's healthcare needs.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Amarillo Square Apartments
DO NOT MOVE HERE! They were and are charging us illegally for gas and deposit alternative $20 a month which is not on our lease and we're, sure everybody is being charged this. Rosie, management allowed all the swimming pool water to get nasty with bugs and smelly water with trash before it completely evaporated. Again this year 2024 the pool getting algae blooms already the management is not shocking the pool with chemicals to save a dollar, its outrageous, if you want a pool don't move here.
You will be paying about over a 120 bucks over what they are asking for in rent through fees and a "convenience fee" . The current team I guess they implemented recently has poor communication to the point that they changed their office hours without letting us know through text and email and stopped allowing us to use split payments on rent even though it is offered on their app they have us use + the old one they had us use that gave us the same option. But hey the location is convenient and in the middle of everything....so there's that
Dishonest and ignorant staff. The place is filthy, just look in any hallway. Building not secure. They add about $200 a month in fees. There are so many dogs (canines) that the whole place smells like urine.
These apartments our full of bed bugs and roaches they are so badly infested that they’ve spread to other apartments around the area!! Managers will not tell you about the isssue then make you pay to get it sprayed!!
My kids and i love it here we havent had any problems with bugs or anything. If there's anything wrong the managers are quick to help and solve the problem we had a plumbing problem the same day it was fixed i have nothing bad to say its a nice quiet private place and thanks for everything you guys do we love it here!!!

We're so glad to have you here! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
I love how convenient this property is to convenience stores. Also I love the new staff they always keep a pleasant environment in the office. They do their best to make sure my concerns are taken care of. Love my apartment especially the dining room and love how spacious my living room is.

Thanks for the great review, Bakara! We're so happy to have you as a resident.
Lived here 3 years ago and it was a nightmare. Bed bugs everywhere, woke up with 10-30 bites every morning!! they sprayed almost every other week with no luck because they’re in the walls, crawling from unit to unit. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!

I'm sorry to hear you've had a less than satisfactory experience. If you could call our Customer Care line at 210-664-3600 and leave your contact information, a Customer Success associate will follow up with you. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.
New management every few months, very difficult to get a maintenance request filled. Every time it rains the building floods and reeks of mildew for the next couple of weeks. My funiture was damaged due to rain water leaking through the ceiling and ceiling acquired mold. I told the office manager and she said "just clean it with bleach". Every other months they "accidentally" double charge for utilities on your rent and you have to address this with the office manager. Bed bug infestation that is never under control. I've bought 3 mattresses in my 9 months here. Definitely not a place you want if you have children! The dumpster are always piled with tossed out infested furniture and mattresses. Early lease termination is unreasonably expensive. It's in a nice, quiet area and rent is cheap but all in all just not worth it!

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry to know that your experience with us has not been ideal. As stated in our lease agreement, we require our residents to report any suspicion of pest infestation in their apartment home so our team can conduct an inspection and determine the best course of action for the treatment of their home. Since our new management took over in May, we have carefully reviewed the areas which need improvement in our community. The structural issues, utility billing, and maintenance are currently being addressed. We expect significant changes in our community in the next few months and we are very excited for Paramount's new beginning. Please let us know if you have any questions about our policies or our efforts to improve our community. Thank you.
Been living here for almost 10 years and it has changed owners 4 times, corporation management 3 times, and managers 9 times. The new managers don't follow rules on going into others homes(after one knock the door was opened on me while i was naked), notice's for spraying, work requests, and the people that have been here a while they are kicking out or threatening to kick out with out notice. When it rains it leaks through the entrance doorways and floods. They spray for roaches and bed bugs but they haven't gotten rid of them.

Due to the fact that the said situation is equally embarrassing for the team members, we knock, knock again while stating management and announce management while entering the homes. Often residents are unable to hear due to loud music and/or TV or assume that the privacy lock is engaged. Inspections will be a continued effort of the current management in conjunction with mortgage terms to ensure that the assets are not being depreciated due to the lessees failure to comply with occupancy and cleanliness standards. The TAA rental agreement Bed Bug Addendum makes it quite clear that it is the residents responsibility to notify management of a suspected infestation and comply with all requests for treatment. Failure to eradicate pests is due to a lack of cooperation. When residents fail to comply with the terms of the lease appropriate notices are delivered requesting that the home be surrendered to management. When the resident fails to surrender the home, it then becomes necessary to file eviction. Court costs are then awarded to the management company from the resident. It is our hope that by stating the obvious infractions on the notice the resident would surrender the home rather then continue to incur additional costs. Residents are either given a renewal offer or letter of non renewal at least 65 days in advance of their lease expiration, they can opt to give a 60 day notice to move out at the end of their lease term if for any reason they are not satisfied with their stay or they do not feel they should have to comply with their lease.
