Alta Waverly

Alta Waverly has everything I wanted in an apartment: spacious floor plans with huge closets, great amenities like AC, washer and dryer in-unit, and a dishwasher (sometimes unheard of in the Bay), plus amazing outdoor spaces. The location is unbeatable with Lake Merritt, great food, and plenty to do just steps away. The leasing team is friendly, helpful, and offered competitive concessions, maintenance is quick, and the building is truly pet friendly so my dog feels right at home.

I love how friendly the community at Alta Waverly is, including the staff! Maintenance is quick and efficient, the community social gatherings are always fun, and I appreciate that my neighbors value keeping our community clean.

Alta Waverly is great so far. I wanted a no-fuss place to live, a newish building, close to good restaurants, and an easy commute. I got all of that here. The staff - especially Dom and Omar, have gone out of their way to be helpful and friendly - especially with the chaotic parts of moving from another state. The building has corporate management, but the staff keep it human and flexible, unlike many of the rigidly managed buildings in the area.

This was a wonderful property prior to Greystar taking over operations.

The community at Alta Waverly is unmatched! I never expected to have so many friends in an apartment complex and I've met many of them through community events like yoga and happy hours!

Alta Waverly was the best decision I made to be my first place on my own. Everything has been a smooth process for me. The leasing agents and property manager are wonderful! The communication is amazing, I love how they send us updates is needed and also host Happy Hours! The amenities are a big plus, as there are plenty of options.

My experience with Alta Waverly has been amazing. This is my first place by myself and I don’t think I could’ve found any place better. I know how I can request maintenance orders online and how the leasing agents respond within a timely matter.

My favorite part about living at Alta Waverly is the community of people I have met at our weekly yoga class.

Don’t stay at this property because everything keeps breaking down and they don’t compensate when things are broken and you can’t use the items that you pay for.

The leasing management and maintenance staff are very responsive and kind! They make the moving process so easy.

The staff at alta waverly are great, the location is good, amenities are good. The price of rent, however, after reviewing other locations, seems exorbitantly high, even including concessions. Also, the amount of sound that comes through floors/ceilings is disappointing, to say the least. Lastly, on the subject of sound, many of the residents do not seem to respect quiet hours, and management has made little effort to do anything about that.

I've been a resident for 2 years and have loved every minute of it. You can't beat the excellent location, luxurious style, wonderful amenities, and thoughtful staff!

This is one of the better urban apartments that we have lived in. The Alta Waverly is a nice building in a great location with a functional apartment layout and nice amenities. The management has probably been the best in our experience, very friendly and responsive to addressing issues and maintenance.

If you have neighbors that fight a lot or don't care if they're disturbing you, expect to get no help from management.

Alta Waverly has been a wonderful place to live. The staff here make sure to make it a community by hosting events. Staff know everyone, are and work hard to make this a wonderful space. The amenities are clean and well maintained. All the people and pets are really friendly. Would definitely recommend moving here!

My experience at the Alta Waverly has been white-glove from start to finish. I moved here sight unseen from another state, and the staff at the front desk was super kind and accommodating. A few months into living here, I had a really difficult personal situation that came up and Meshana and Tianti showed up for me in ways I can’t even describe, and I’ll forever be grateful for. On top of this, I’ve made lifelong friends due to the events they put on at Alta Waverly. This building is worth every penny!

I’ve lived at Alta Waverly for 5 months and I cannot say enough about how great this property is. The leasing office staff is amazing, the maintenance crew is responsive and great at what they do. You cannot beat the location and the shops/restaurants nearby.

Living here is an absolute dream! Close to everything and a walker’s paradise, management and maintenance are extremely responsive, friendly, and respectful. Parking is easy, available, and safe. Appliances are all state of the art, and gave me no trouble at all. Seeing residents’ pets on the roof and in the halls was always a treat. I would have loved to stay here long-term to enjoy the views and spaces if work hasn’t pulled me away. I can’t recommend this building and community highly enough!

Best service I’ve received from a property management company

I'm very comfortable in my apartment. It is spacious and well appointed with good features. The amenities are great and add value to the community. The onsite staff and leasing specialists are fantastic - helpful, attentive and friendly.

Alta Waverly is a beautiful new building in a vibrant neighborhood, but there are plenty of beautiful new buildings in this part of Oakland. What makes Alta Waverly stand out is the incredibly helpful, friendly staff and the sense of community. Happy hours have been a great opportunity to meet our neighbors, and everyone had been so kind and welcoming.

The staff at Alta are truly amazing! The building has wonderful amenities and is always kept in great condition. Can't ask for a better place to live!

Alta Waverly provides luxury living in an extremely walkable part of Uptown. It's very well maintained and the staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. Most maintenance issues are resolved within 24-48 hours. I've been here for 2 years and I love it!

I took a tour of the property and I was so impressed with how well kept and clean the property was. The manager Meshana was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed.

I love the community at Alta Waverly, the people are great and I use all of the community spaces. I have really enjoyed the on site yoga class and my dog loves meeting other dogs at the rooftop dog run. Tianti and Jordan have been excellent anytime I had a question and Tianti's tour was a huge selling point for me because I could really feel the sense of community.

Meshana and all the staff are wonderful. The building is alright.

Honestly the better apartment I've seen in oakland and SF. Good amenities, enough to make your friends jealous. The best thing is the people who work here, they're always working hard, friendly, willing to go the extra mile which is why they stand out. Keep up the good work

I absolutely love the property! The rooftop deck offers beautiful views, areas to hangout and meet neighbors. The gym has all the essentials and it’s so close to Lake Merritt, I can decide if I want to hop on the tread or go for a run and take in the views. Less than a 5 min walk to bars, great restaurants, and target. Management is great at keeping me updated on what goes on in the neighborhood, the property is always clean and nicely maintained!

Really nice amenities and the facilities are maintained well and clean. Units are modern and high quality, without any cut corners. Staff and maintenance have been communicative, responsive, and friendly throughout the whole process and the entire time we’ve been tenants. Location is great, with plenty of things to do (bars, restaurants) all very close only 1-2 blocks away and also close to several grocery stores. Good distance away from highways so dust isn’t a problem.

This place is so nice and modern!! It’s also very well kept and the community is amazing!! It was no surprise to me that there would be such great amenities!! This apartment is absolutely wondering and everything I looked for in an apartment!! Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

To me what separates AW from most other large scale lux units in the area is that property is centrally located with easy access to everything Downtown Oakland but since its on a tucked away side street that's relatively quiet and not too busy it allows for easy and comfortable strolls/dog walks around the neighborhood without the bother of your typical downtown street traffic. Additionally, having an amazingly friendly and attentive property staff also makes it easy to call AW home!

I’ve been here a month and so far have really enjoyed living here. It’s the best place for pet owners, people are friendly, and management is down to earth. Highly recommend!
