Alta Purl has great amenities, is a newer building and features well designed floor-plans in one of the best neighborhoods in the area. Perhaps most importantly in a rental unit, the maintenance staff does a good job staying on top of the day-to-day and periodic things that require attention.

From touring to applying to my lease it took me one week to decide I wanted to live at alta purl. The amenities are so fun and clean, the building is dog friendly (but clean) the location is right beside Optimist Hall with events and food galore, and the prices are very fair! Although I have not been here long I have felt welcomed since before day one by the entire management team. The trash fairies are a nice plus!
Alta Purl is an ideal place to live! Its location is super convenient—close to the light rail station and Optimist Park. The apartments are modern, and the management team hosts fun events like Casino Night!

Practically, Uptown location, with small town prices. Great and wonderful place to live great space, huge ceilings. Wonderful staff, best in the game. Alta Purl has been the best living experience we’ve had. We our proud to call this community our home. The leasing staff and maintenance team have been amazing, kind, and very helpful.
Been at Alta Purl for a month and we absolutely love it! Alyssa and Olivia are great to work with and very responsive! Community has great events and is always keeping the tenants engaged. Gym has great equipment. Only downside is that there tends to be a lot of dog poop around the building and I know this is not Alta Purls fault and more the residents that do not clean up and possibly from non residents who don't clean up after their pets. A few cameras around the building to catch these culprits may help.

I have lived at Alta Purl for a month now, and I came from a Southend apartment previously. I will say that we got unbeatable value with the apartment we got, with walkable trails nearby still and not too far from everything. Alyssa Hogan was great to work with in the touring, lease signing process & move in! Great location, great value for our spacious apartment, very competitive amenities thus far.

Have loved the amenities and the butterfly app. Really no complaints other than the amount of issues we’ve needed fixed in our unit and the fact that as someone with a roommate we can’t submit partial payments.
Alta purl is a beautiful community that falls on the line of sophistication and comfortability. The infrastructure alone is well designed with convenience in mind. My particular unit is absolutely stunning with a beautiful spacious entryway where you’ll notice the dark wood floor that leads into the contrasts of the white countertop in the kitchen. Very spacious and well designed layout throughout my unit. The community is very vibrant with local eateries at your fingertips I’m not one who is easily impressed however Alta Purl is a well tucked away gem in Charlotte.
I’ve been living at Alta Purl since 2021, and I absolutely love it here. The location is unbeatable, with Uptown, Optimist Hall, and NoDa all just a short distance away. The convenience of being so close to everything, including my short commute to work, has been a major plus. The staff here is incredible—always friendly and helpful. I’ve also gone through two seamless unit transfers, and the process each time was smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a place with a great location, supportive staff, and a real sense of community, Alta Purl is definitely worth considering!

We chose Alta Purl to be our home because of the awesome amenities, location, and great community. Our move in process with Alyssa was excellent! The staff and maintenance are friendly and very helpful.
I moved in about a month ago and could not be happier with the building and living situation. It is exactly what I was looking for in my move.

Alta Purl is a great living space. The office team and maintenance staff are professional and friendly. And the cleanliness of the complex is amazing.
Alta Purl has been such a great experience! I would highly recommend living here if you are looking for you next place to call home. The community is always clean, the staff is always friendly and quick to resolve problems that arise. The community events make it easy to meet neighbors and make friends. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Do not live here, this was my first apartment experience out of college and could not move out faster once the lease was up. There were so many issues in the year I lived there, my AC went out in the middle of the Summer and they said it was "non emergent" and didn't come fix it for 4 days. My apt was so hot I had to stay with friends. The plumbing in my apt went out and they also considered that "non emergent" even though I didn't have a bathroom to use. Cars got hit in the parking deck, mine and multiple others, and the property management did nothing, leaving the residents to pay for all damages. The parking deck is poorly built, too narrow and can't see people coming around. I had multiple packages stolen from the package room because they are all just sitting on shelves and anyone in there can grab them and when it happens the leasing office is no help at all, the camera in the package room isn't even real. The leasing office is hard to get into contact with in general. There was constantly trash in the hallways and even animal poop. The area itself is not walkable at all. The only place you can walk to is Optimist Hall, which is nice to have but still your only option with the highway on the other side. All that said, for how much money you are going to be paying live somewhere else.

The staff and the upheld standards are why I stay at apartments. They are incredible! I've never lived at a place where they simultaneously are present, visible, helpful, extremely communicative, transparent, and knowledgeable. The amenities are the reason to pay this rate for the apartment, but the staff is why I look forward to resigning my lease.
I've lived at Alta Purl for 3 years now. This "luxury" apartment building has all the amenities you could want, a gym, rooftop sky-lounge, pool, and courtyard. These areas are fine, the pool is clean, the gym is updated every now and then, whatever. The thing you're ACTUALLY going to use, the apartment itself, is honestly pretty nice. It's spacious, high ceilings, updated fixtures, nice kitchen, nice bathrooms. The vinyl flooring is annoying to clean. But the biggest issue is that this apartment building, like so many other new builds in the past decade, has paper thin walls and ceilings. You can hear EVERYTHING between floors. Walking normally through the hallways sounds like slamming bricks into the floor, and the same is true for the apartment above you. I can hear my upstairs neighbor laughing, talking, walking, slamming doors, screaming, television, everything, you name it. Their roomba that they run daily sounds like a bowling ball rolling across the ceiling. Their cats running around sound like a horse galloping. What happens when you report the excessive noise to the front office? Nothing! The first dozen or so times, they'll call them and ask them to quiet down (Which does nothing, of course). Then, when you send them a lengthy email, they respond once, and then ignore you. I had to get my attorney involved to be able to break the lease early and leave. If you don't mind noise and a lackluster front office, this place is for you. If noise over 75% of your waking hours (and 50% of your sleeping hours) might bother you, pick another apartment. 2 stars (which is generous for all the other stuff I DIDN'T mention in this review).

Incredible facility, incredible staff and the pool is amazing. I’ve been living here for over 3 years and it’s been fantastic. I’ve sign 3 leases and it’s a very safe area of Noda. Highly recommended and it has WiFi all throughout the facility.

I really enjoy living here! Sometimes there are issues like noisy neighbors or too much noise around the pool in the summertime.

I loved living at Purl. I was new to Charlotte and they always had great events to get neighbors out of their apartments. The property was always clean and maintenance was very quick to solve any problems. I am definitely sad that I had to leave . The best part about living in Charlotte !

My roommate and I have lived here for over a year and a half and really enjoy it. One of the reasons we chose this building was because of the many events they host to help you meet your neighbors and make friends (since many of us in Charlotte move from out of state, this was a HUGE help). We now have a solid group of friends in the building, and met every one at the events. They’re always a good time!

Staff is amazing and helpful with any question I had. Events are intuitive and well thought out. At night it is quiet and the apt is secure with key fobs at all entrances along with elevators.

I love Alta Purl it is an amazing community! Alyssa has been nothing BUT the BEST! And she makes living here an amazing experience. The maintaince man was fast and amazing as well!
The actual apartment is great. But 2 of the 4 sides of the building have either a rumbling train or a police tow lot that operates 24/7. Not great for sleep, even with earplugs.
From tour of apartment to move in was really smooth and comfortable. Management staff is very cooperative and friendly. Also I liked amenities provided in apartments and events organized are like cherry on cake.
The property is managed very well. The staff is very professional and swiftly deal with matters. The activities they organize are pertinent and interesting. The only downside is the cleanliness of corridors. I think the cleaning staff only concentrate in areas where the managing staff frequent. Otherwise Alta Purl is a great place
