      There's so much to love about Downtown Tacoma: its location on the Foss Waterway, its beautiful architecture, its thriving arts scene, its breweries and nightclubs, and the University of Washington Tacoma. Downtown Tacoma is hilly, with fantastic views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier.       The building, since our moving in, has had multiple break ins, broken amenities, and building issues (ceilings are not insulated, and leak if any water falls on the floor of the unit above you). The management team has extended (2wks ) responses to maintenance and financial concerns that have a negative impact on residents. The building itself, while visually striking, is in terrible disrepair and units are loud, drafty, and poorly maintained.

      The building itself is incredible, but it's obviously been maintained by a huge company looking to cut corners. Things are filthy, in disrepair, and unfinished, even after moving in. We are still experiencing delays to moving in because basic things like plumbing and kitchen counters need to be repaired. If you want a cool apartment and have LOW standards of quality this is the place for you. Meanwhile we're going to keep fighting to get maintenance done on our unit before we have to move.

      The Loft

      I wanted to live somewhere unconventional, interesting and different. This is definitely the place for that. Quick walk to buses, trains and boats. The view of the dock is incredible at sunrise and sunset. High ceilings, exposed bricks and beams and actually very spacious for a loft. Maintenance lives in the building which is very convenient! Every loft in this building is different, no two are alike which is unique. I live here for the view, the quick walks to bars, restaurants, museums and the dock. So nice to walk out of the door, get in a kayak and row down the bay. Don't be mistaken, this is a loft so you can hear your neighbors, it's right by the train and highway (which never bothered me at all) and the walls do nothing to filter smell and sound. I can smell my neighbors cooking dinner and hear the "tap-tap-tap" of the upstairs neighbor's dog. If you're like me and noise isn't an issue, check this place out!

      Loft living

      Beautiful industrial space with brick walls, cement floors, and wood and steel ceilings that reach 12ft high. amasing 360 deg views of Mt. Rainier, Foss waterway, old town Tacoma and the university of Washington/Tacoma. Great shops, restaurants, and recreation all with walking distance. Living in Albers Mills Loft gives you a sense of what the city was like in its industrial boom. Great vibes there. -Dave
